We booked into the Hansa for a treat for a week with a very good rate via trip.com. We are on a long term overlanding trip by motorcycle and I had sprained an ankle on a sandy road so wanted a base to just be whilst it healed before getting back on my bike. This hotel is so lovely...we felt like members of the family, all the staff are so kind, polite and super helpful. The room and facilities were perfect and the hotel is very central in swakopmund so I could hobble about for my daily exercise and get to the beach or the shops. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Very much a 10 out of 10 experience.

The location is really good, old style decor but big rooms, could have more commodities like pool but overall a really nice place for the money.

It is not a massively big hotel yet beautiful, with lush garden in the middle and spacious rooms. The service is top notch, the service people pay attention to people staying at the hotel. The manager and porter helped with unlocking my suitcase that had been stuck for a two days and had become a source of stress. I will be back for sure!

Hotel antiguo, con mucha historia, precioso y muy bien cuidado. Habitaciones amplias y desayuno perfecto. Parece un museo, con un montón de cuadros con fotos antiguas por los pasillos. Se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad. Te recibe un botones muy amable y servicial que te sube las maletas a la habitación, porque no hay ascensor. La única pega es que nos quedamos a cenar una noche y para lo que comimos nos pareció caro, mi pescado estaba salado. Tiene parking.

Tiene un gran problema para personas con problemas de movilidad, no tiene ascensor. Si bien sólo es subir un piso, para los que tenemos problemas, es una cruz. Por lo demás, el personal es amable y la limpieza buena. Otra cosa, para mí incomprensible, es que tengas que desayunar/cenar con el abrigo puesto por que no hay calefacción en las zonas comunes ¿?? estabamos a 10º y no era invierno. No hay gorro de ducha, las toallas no las cambian a diario.

Wonderful hotel. Extremely helpful staff ready to book reservations for tours and dinner. Plentiful and varied breakfast buffet - the pretzels are amazing! The decor makes you remember that Swakopmund was settled by Germans and is very quaint and charming.

Very pleasant and elegant hotel in central Swakopmund. Room was great opening into a garden courtyard. Breakfast was delicious and they do dinner too. Staff so kind - multilingual . Nothing too much trouble. I had laundry done here and it was perfect. Lots of shops around the hotel and Swakopmund is a breath of fresh air after the desert heat.

All of the times I went to Namibia, I spent at least one night there and when I come back I feel at home although I am more than 10 000 km from home. Once my emotional bond towards this hotel has been disclosed, I can tell what we like: The staff, who are always kind and responsive. Before departure, I bothered the receptionist Maike with several request, and I always got enduring and useful answers. Similarly for the waiters, who are kind and professional. The restaurant, which serves very good food, both fish and meat, and also a rich and various breakfast. That particolar flavour that only an original-colonial-style establishment more than 100 years old may have. We also enjoyed the inner garden, full of exotic plants and large trees. Last but not least, though located in a small city in the middle of the desert, the hotel offers large, comfortable rooms provided with all that is exepected from a town hotel.
