UUsuario invitadoThere are no words to describe this place. If you have some knowledge about China and agree that people here can be incredibly beautiful - this will still blow your mind.
Apart from the house having a beautiful architecture - a mix of Chinese and Japanese (where the owner lived for 14 years) style, they will impress you with their kindness. We were chauffeured everywhere, invited for dinner, got tickets to the park, recommendations and were allowed to borrow their scooter. Just mindblowing.
Es gibt keine Worte, um diesen Ort zu beschreiben. Selbst wenn man China kennt und zustimmt, dass die Menschen hier unglaublich schön sein können – das hier wird einen trotzdem umhauen.
Abgesehen davon, dass das Haus eine wunderschöne Architektur hat – eine Mischung aus chinesischem und japanischem Stil (der Besitzer lebte 14 Jahre in Japan) – beeindruckt einen vor allem ihre Herzlichkeit. Wir wurden überall hingefahren, zum Abendessen eingeladen, bekamen Eintrittskarten für den Park, Empfehlungen und durften ihren Roller ausleihen. Einfach überwältigend.

Yyiyi_tThis room is with smoke smell that unable to subside even until night time. We depend on the diffuser in room to bear with it overnight as we are reluctant to pack & change room. Overall, those who cannot bear smoke smell at all, can avoid booking this place. As this premise allow smoking indoor.
One thing we are unhappy is the lady in restaurant is annoying, we are having our meal but she came to chase for payment multiple times! This action spoiled our appetite. We will pay, please don't keep coming to ask for payment. Or else pls put up a sign to request guest pay before eat!
During breakfast, the table are not tidy up from previous guest. We requested cleaner to clear, the response is to ask us use whichever table is available now! 🙄. Getting table we preferred is our right!

EEmanuele G.I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel in Wuyi, and I can’t recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the hotel’s charming atmosphere. The modern architecture combined with the serene tea rooms created a peaceful and immersive experience that felt both luxurious and authentic. Spending quiet moments in the tea lounges, sipping local brews while enjoying the calming decor, was a true highlight of my stay.
One of the standout features of this hotel is the breakfast. Every morning, I was greeted with an impressive variety of dishes — both local specialties and more familiar options — all fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Whether you’re a fan of savory or sweet, there’s something for everyone, and the attention to quality was evident in every bite.
But what truly made my experience unforgettable was the support the hotel provided in helping me explore the area. They introduced me to a local guide named Spring, and I am so grateful they did. Spring was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and passionate about Wuyi. Thanks to her, I was able to discover hidden gems, learn about the rich cultural heritage of the region, and gain insights I never would have found on my own. Her guidance added so much depth and meaning to my visit.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making my stay so special. I will absolutely return and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a genuine and enriching experience in Wuyi.

I study Asian art for a living, and I travelled to Jianyang to visit the home of Jian ware, classic tea bowls of the Song dynasty (960 to 1279 CE), distinguished by their black and brown glazes. Over the last few decades, firing Jian ware in the Song tradition has been revived in the area. I chose Nanping Colourful Village Homestay because it was in Jianyang, affordable, and accepted international guests. What I found was a luxury resort with all the warmth and personal attention of a homestay.
I asked the front desk about an excavated Song kiln site in a nearby village, and the receptionist brought me the manager, who arranged for someone to take me the next day. My driver was Ms. Huang, an employee of the resort whose job involves buying and selling contemporary pieces. She knew everything about Jian ware! The kiln site isn’t run as a tourist site, so I was only able to view it because Ms. Huang arranged for it to be opened for me.
I had told them I was vegetarian, so for lunch they took me to lunch at a vegetarian buffet. Then we visited the town’s Jian ware museum, where they have exhibits on the history of tea and Jian ware, historical pieces, and the work of contemporary Jianyang potters.
To my delight, Mr. Gao, the potter-in-residence at the resort, uses a Song-style wood-fired dragon kiln, built right on the grounds! His pieces that range from beautiful but quite affordable to exquisite and appropriately expensive. They include both iridescent silvery oil spot and orange-to-black hare’s fur pieces. I am still thrilled that I was able to purchase wood-fired pieces on my limited budget.
For dinner, the resort’s restaurant prepared vegetarian versions of Fujian cuisine for me. The food was all delicious, featuring classic Fujianese mountain ingredients like local bamboo and mushrooms.
Then we visited Mr. Gao’s dragon kiln, and later his studio, where he experiments with different local clays and glaze recipes. The rich colours and iridescence of Jian ware are the result of the iron-rich local material fired at high temperature, and the results are as unpredictable as they are beautiful.
The next day, they drove me to Mr. Chen’s family tea plantation in the mountains, where they grow famous northern Fujian teas. These fine teas were all wonderful, smooth and rich with a touch of smoke, and sometimes fruity in flavour. We strolled through mountainsides of tea bushes and visited groves of centuries-old tea trees.
This is a perfect place for an immersive experience in China that is also very comfortable and convenient. I often find tourist experiences in China claustrophobic due to the press of people, but the resort was spacious and airy, and they took me to places where there was no one else but us and the occasional local going about their business. Everyone was very patient with my limited Chinese language skills. They were also happy to work with translator apps on our phones, so if you don’t speak any Chinese, you will be fine.
This would be a great place to come as a family. There are gardens and rides for kids right next to the resort. You can learn how to whip Song-style tea and carve your name into the base of your own Jian ware cup. Not far away is a historical theme park with a collection of real architecture from the Ming (1368 to 1644 CE) and Qing (1636 to 1912 CE) dynasties. The employees wear period dress and there are performances and activities. Nearby there are hiking trails, historical sites, and lovely villages to visit.
It’s also very close to Wuyi Mountain National Park, so it would be a perfect place to stay if the mountains are your destination. If you ask, they could arrange for you to visit famous sites or take you to breathtaking places that only locals know, whatever you want. They can also arrange transport to and from the train station or airport.

Situado en un taxi de 7 yuan a la distancia del centro de la ciudad pero vale la pena si usted está buscando un agradable, segregado, lejos de la ciudad siente. Muy agradable. Un río fluye en la parte delantera y detrás del hotel, agradable y tranquilo. El hotel está situado en una zona muy bonita, con un puente antiguo, muy grande para las fotos de sol.
La comida es buena. El personal es muy amigable. El deseo de recomendar restaurantes para comer en. También recomendó tomar el bambú de bambú abajo el 9 río de doble en el parque de la naturaleza wuyi shan. También recomendó el show de Impressions Dahongbao en vivo, no se debe perder.
El hotel, Angie, nos ayudó mucho, y como hablamos poco mandarín, habla inglés y nos ayudó a hacer reservas, y habla a los locales por teléfono cuando nos encontramos con problemas de comunicación. Ella recomendó lugares que no habríamos pensado ni incluso sugerido hoteles en Xiamen para nuestra próxima parada en nuestro itinerario, y elegimos el Holiday Inn junto al aeropuerto. También sugerido. lugares en otras provincias deberíamos ir en nuestro próximo viaje a China.

HHongsieThe staff Xiao An, Xiao Han & A Shen were very welcoming & attentive. Served us hot tea as soon as we arrived at the counter. Helped us with our travel plans & even extended a complimentary breakfast for us before we left for the train station. Atour boss please reward them!
Room was spacious & balcony was a delight. The extras like bottled black tea & biscuits were a bonus as these are not available in other Atour hotels that we've stayed in. Keep up the good work!!

Es muy agradable simplemente pasear por el hotel, tomar té y soñar despierto. El servicio del hotel es muy bueno. El portero tomó la iniciativa de ayudarnos con nuestro equipaje y nos presentó con entusiasmo las instalaciones del hotel. ¡Fue muy considerado! On check in Ms Lim gave us an upgrade. Actually I would have given a good rating if not for the bad experience we had tge bect day. When we,approach the staff for advice to enter the scenic site. She called in a lady who she said is working for the hotel. She will charge a fee of rmb300 for taking to the various site. Later in scenic site, we realise that we can get free transport provided by the Wuyishan scenic site. We can just take a Didi taxi to the entrance.
