But I was glad that it is not located besides the train station as there's hardly any facilities around

The hotel room looks new and good. The amenities are okay. The only problem is the location, it’s quite far from the railway so you have to take a car which will cost you 70 yuan or if you want to take a bus it’ll take you 2hrs to get to the hotel. The rooms are not soundproof though, you can hear the people in the other rooms talking and babies crying at night and you can’t get a good night sleep. Also the bathroom you can hear a dripping of water sound but it’s not the faucet that it’s making the sound but the drainage I guess. All good but have to improve these issues

Service is poor. There are moments when the entire restaurant is void of service staff. They are either in the kitchen or dish-washing area. There’s only one coffee machine and when it runs out of milk etc, one has to wait for a few minutes. This is below our expectations. Brown sugar is not offered. Butter was placed, in the same basket, with the jam. There were so few that I missed it. It’s strange for breakfast table to have partitions especially after covid.

Disappointing Stay at Zhengyiju Cultural Guesthouse I recently stayed at Zhengyiju Cultural Guesthouse in Yangzhou and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The room had significant temperature issues—it was too hot near the ceiling but uncomfortably cold near the floor, making it impossible to relax. Additionally, the sink in the bathroom was poorly designed, causing water to splash everywhere when using the faucet. The service was another letdown. The staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful, which made the stay even more unpleasant. To make matters worse, despite paying a deposit, I had to repeatedly ask for it to be returned, which was both inconvenient and frustrating. Overall, I cannot recommend this guesthouse based on my experience. There are clear areas for improvement, especially in terms of room comfort and customer service.
