Carmel is a beautiful town and the hotel is in the town centre, so the location is perfect. Room was a little dated, but reasonably clean. On the night we arrived to check in, staff was super friendly and helpful. He gave us detailed instructions regarding our room and parking, also local restaurants recommendations. His service was a 5 star! On the morning of departure, we vacated the room and checked out at 9am. We went for a stroll in the town, and returned after an hour. When we returned at 10am I asked the staff (not the friendly staff helped us check in) if I can use a restroom. Knowing we just checked out, the staff bluntly replied there isn’t public toilet in the hotel, so we’d better use the one in the local park. When we asked if we could go back to our room to use the toilet as it’s still early. His said the cleaners were already in. We then walked to our car which was next to our room, only to find the cleaners hadn’t been at all. Zero hospitality, disappointed.

The location was good, a short walk to Asilomar Beach which is a wonderful coastal trail with deer, bunnies & lots of birds in the early morning (before 7am). Was a bit disappointed that no bottled water was available in the room, and the lobby was locked before 8am and after 9pm when we wanted to get a drink. The coffee maker has water tasting of coffee, which is not ideal for non-coffee drinkers like myself. Toothbrushes not provided. My emails prior to the stay went unanswered. It was suggested that we pay $20 for laundry, and we had to ask multiple times where they either told us it was too early / too late and then to look for housekeeping to ask on our own. Night time is quiet but day time is noisy once housekeeping commences, and in the afternoon we had several calls and knocks on our door from housekeeping when we were trying to rest. They did not wait for us to answer but kept calling. I'm likely to choose a different place for future stays. There are several in this same location that are not as costly. I only chose this because the reviews seemed great.

Es un buen lugar para descansar durante los descansos; la higiene es buena. Lo único que no me convence del todo es que el cabezal de la ducha es fijo, lo cual resulta incómodo para las mujeres, y el flujo de agua es muy lento, lo que dificulta lavar el cabello largo.

No hay atracciones alrededor del hotel y se tarda 40 minutos en caminar junto al mar. Como alojamiento temporal, si está de vacaciones, estará libre de entretenimiento y ocio. El Wi-Fi del hotel no es bueno, tal vez yo viva en el otro lado, casi no hay red en la habitación. El hotel tiene café, pan, fruta y yogur para el desayuno, pero es sencillo pero se puede comer. El servicio al cliente no estaba particularmente limpio. Cuando entré, encontré manchas negras en las sábanas. La recepción me envió sábanas para que me cambiaran, diciendo que los camareros estaban fuera del trabajo. En resumen, me siento como un hotel.

The accommodations were impressive, with a spacious and well-maintained room that was both clean and comfortable, creating a restful and pleasant atmosphere. The attention to cleanliness and upkeep was evident, which enhanced our overall sense of relaxation. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff. They were consistently friendly, courteous, and attentive to our needs, ensuring that we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. Their warm hospitality contributed significantly to our positive impression of the hotel. Additionally, the hotel’s location proved to be highly convenient. Situated near various dining options and shopping centers, it allowed for easy access to essentials, making our trip more convenient and enjoyable. Overall, we found the Monarch Valley Inn to be a great value for the price. The combination of comfortable accommodations, excellent service, and a convenient location made for an enjoyable stay.

Good facilities, there are fridge and microwave in the room, quite helpful for travelers who want to est something simple for breakfast or dinner. The room service helps to keep the room clean. Downside is it can be noisy at night and can hear the outside when the people outside is loud.

Buena ubicación, hotel pequeño y limpio con tabla de planchar y hervidor eléctrico. Moteles con buenas instalaciones en Estados Unidos. La entrada de 17 millas a uno o dos kilómetros de distancia es mucho más barata que vivir en Carmel.

El ambiente es elegante, a unos 100 pasos de la entrada de la playa, la decoración de la habitación tiene una ventana de aislamiento térmico y son muy adecuados para los turistas que se sienten dormidos.
