⭐ 5/5 — A Truly Exceptional, Warm-Hearted Stay at Zengcuo’an Village ⭐ I travel often and have experienced many different types of hotels and accommodations over the years. From 25 Nov 2025, I stayed at Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) for 12 nights, and extended my stay by another 3 nights because it genuinely felt like home. That alone says everything. 😊 From the moment I arrived, the experience was not just comfortable, but deeply warm and reassuring, thanks to the owner and housekeeper who went out of their way to make sure every detail of my stay was taken care of. 🙏 I stayed in the Huacai Balcony Tub Room on the 5th level. I believe this is the only accommodation in Zengcuo'an that has an elevator. The room was very clean, modern, and thoughtfully equipped. The large bathtub and giant HD projector made every evening wonderfully relaxing. The balcony overlooks Zengcuo’an Village and is just 50 metres from the village church. I even enjoyed a beautiful sunrise at around 6:30am right from my room. 🌄 The location is outstanding. It’s about 200 metres from the main entrance of Zengcuo’an Village, surrounded by everything you could possibly need. There are countless eateries nearby, including my personal favourite right in front of the accommodation — 福鼎肉片小吃店, run by the warm and amiable 美金姐, a 56-year-old local lady (highly recommended!). 😋😋 Convenience stores, fashion and accessory shops, souvenir stalls, luggage shops, spas, travel agencies — and even a McDonald’s — are all within easy reach. 👍👍 Several attractions are also within walking distance, including Pearl Public Beach and Music Square. One of the smartest ways to explore Xiamen is the CNY 50 hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus (24 stops), with the bus stop conveniently located right in front of the village on the right side. It’s honestly the most affordable and efficient way to see the city. What truly made this stay exceptional, however, were the people. 👬👭 The owner, 许老板, is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. He patiently gave directions, recommended places to visit, pointed out nearby essentials like the bank and pharmacy, and even allowed me to store my luggage while I was away for a few days. When I checked out, I was down with a cold — he not only helped with my luggage, but also personally drove me to the airport, making sure I arrived safely. That level of care is rare. 💯💯💯 The housekeeper, 秀容, is equally wonderful. Always smiling, always attentive, she made sure I was comfortable every single day — from providing extra water, tissues, and towels to quietly checking that everything was in order. Her warmth made the entire stay feel effortless and homely. . One last tip: don’t miss the sunset. Walk across the overhead bridge from the village and enjoy the beach scene between 4:30pm and 6:30pm — it’s absolutely unforgettable.🌻🌷 Overall: highly, highly recommended. Desde la cálida bienvenida a los pequeños gestos pensados de toda nuestra estancia, se siente menos como el check-in en un hotel y más como ser cuidado por amigos. Y honestamente, para la calidad, el confort y la experiencia, el precio es mucho por debajo del valor que usted recibe aquí. Es una joya oculta que merece más reconocimiento. Nice location and nice service, I received a free room upgrade. They told me I booked a room without a window and took me to a better room with a terrace balcony. The breakfast was so cute, shaped like a chinese man. It was my first hotel and my first breakfast in China, so very good experience!

Reservamos el apartamento de 4 habitaciones. Si vienes por las vistas, no te decepcionarás. Por lo demás, el lugar es como un hostal: todo el edificio se usa para alquilar habitaciones, y las cafeterías y el spa están en el mismo edificio. Estábamos en la planta 53 y hay una cafetería a pocos apartamentos. Parece que pueden gestionar cualquier tipo de negocio a su antojo. La mayoría son jóvenes y el lugar está muy concurrido, supongo que es porque está al lado de la universidad. Te hacen registrarte para el check-in en una aplicación, pero la puerta y el sistema de acceso al ascensor están rotos. Veníamos del aparcamiento B1 y podemos subir en ascensor directamente a la habitación sin ningún control de seguridad. Me preocupaba la seguridad, pero parece que hay cámaras por todas partes. El apartamento fue decepcionante, ya que estaba viejo y deteriorado. La mesa de mahjong estaba rota, el sofá no es cómodo, la ducha tiene moho y si usas la ducha de lluvia, se inundará porque el desagüe no es eficiente. La cocina estaba equipada con horno, lavadora y campana extractora Miele, pero parece que no permiten usarla, ya que guardan sábanas y otros utensilios en todos los cajones y el horno. No hay utensilios de ningún tipo. Eso sí, usamos la nevera grande. Debo decir que la dueña/ama de llaves y el personal de limpieza son muy atentos a todas las peticiones. Mi aire acondicionado estaba roto y enviaron a alguien a arreglarlo a las 22:00, pero solo pudieron arreglarlo al día siguiente. Por suerte, tengo la habitación libre para dormir la primera noche. (El aire acondicionado también es ruidoso en la habitación pequeña, así que tuve que usar tapones para los oídos). La vista desde el apartamento es magnífica, y punto.

El precio de la habitación es especialmente alto, tal vez debido a la temporada de otoño, el pequeño hermano me ayudó directamente a mejorar el tipo de habitación. El sur también tiene calderas de calefacción, especialmente cómodas. Los toallas son un solo uso y son muy amigables. La habitación principal es una gran cantidad de televisión caliente que los miembros no pueden ver gratis!!! La ubicación es también muy excelente. Las colinas de abajo están rodeadas de comidas muy guapas, no está lejos de la carretera de felicidad. La estación de metro también puede caminar. Hay una cara de salchicha cercana muy sabrosa!!! La próxima vez vuelvo a comer

Necesita leer la cabecera cuidadosamente y preparar su traductor, no hay ningún lobby ni puerta automática, sólo esperar que el propietario venga y nos recoja, pero desde su primera vez que estoy en China, es un poco confuso Pero el estado de la habitación, vistas, ubicación es la mejor, estaría aquí otra vez para mi próxima viaje 😃

The hotel is very good and located within the Twin Towers area. The sea view is excellent, and it has all the amenities. My room had a private bathroom, a comfortable bed, and cozy cushions near the window to enjoy the sea view. There is also a projector available for watching movies. The initial service was good, although later there were slight delays in responding. Check-in requires a face scan, while check-out is simple — you just need to send a message to your butler. It is better to book earlier to get a good deal.

I traveled to Xiamen during the Chinese spring service with my dog and took a day trip to Kinmen Island, Taiwan, just off the coast. This hotel was in fact an apartment building with several management companies renting out rooms on various floors. Overall the building was in a horrendous state of disrepair. Initially, the front desk tried to put me into a room on the sixth floor which looked like a scene from a horror movie... Stains on floor, walls, dirt and garbage everywhere....I asked if this is the same room I booked and another female staff member moved me to the 9 th floor which was at least clean and updated, in the hall. The room was ok, and bed comfortable, but I've never stayed in a hotel that put sheets directly on the mattress without a minimal pad between... Luckily no bed bugs. The room had 3 out of 8 working lightbulbs so it was very dark. The heater didn't warm up the room even at max level running all day. Everything was old and dingy... Nothing like the photos I had no TV or Internet service the first day until I asked for it to be repaired. Overall, no maintenance is the problem.. But at least the woman at the front desk was helpful and kind That only real redeeming quality of the room was the view... But the window was so dirty, it was mostly obscured.

This is an apartment located a 6 min drive to the port to kinmen. The area itself is enclosed in like a yacht club boating area. Depending on the season many things maybe closed but it's good if you want to walk along the pier enjoy nature, have a ferry or plane to catch. I am going to review this as an Airbnb style apartment. Since it is an actual apartment your renting. They were a little confused at check in giving us two rooms and having us find our visa in our passport for them to take the photos. The apartment overall is very good for a short stay with a nice view, great TV and quite a lot of space. My husband's phone was able to connect to the internet and it was very good my phone however wouldn't connect. Typical problem with non Chinese phones. Bathroom is also very updated and nice. The bed was also very nice. So as this is an apartment somethings could be improved for longer stays. 1) while there is a huge fridge they don't provide you a second key so the fridge will actually stay on when you leave. Typically I leave one key in and turn off everything manually but they said not possible. So if your staying for awhile everytime you leave your fridge will go off. 2) While there is a stove which is great there isn't any way to cook no small pot pan plate nothing. Which is strange because why is there a stove then. This is clearly an apartment which could be better supplied like an Airbnb. 3) While there is a washer which is amazing and washing powder which is a huge plus there is no way to dry the clothes. There is no drying rack, no fan and the two windows don't provide enough air for drying. There was only 6 hangers as well. 4) While it was quite clean the cabinets in the kitchen, the insulation inside the fridge were not clean at all. You could tell they had recently mopped and we arrived nearly 8pm. The ceiling in certain areas had visable black mold which could be a bigger problem. The faucet in the bathroom also was very loose. However the apartment is great and could be able to accommodate longer stays if these areas are fixed. Modeling more of an Airbnb type stay. As someone who's lived in Airbnb the past 7 years I'm just trying to help. So it you are going for a night or a week and these things don't bother you I can recommend it. For me it was great for short stay.

Really grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier? Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish. I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view. Room was clean and nice. Slippers given. Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them. The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider. The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night. Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants. The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently. Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.
