My stay at Lohkah Isle was magical. From the moment I booked, the team made me feel genuinely cared for. No detail was too big, no gesture was too small. Every request was attended to with such warmth, kindness, and incredible promptness. A special thank you to Isak, Leo, Yuki, and Harlan. You are the heart and soul of this beautiful hotel. Isak welcomed us personally at the pier when we arrived at Gulangyu, and to my surprise, he was also the one who escorted us all the way back to Xiamen at the end of our stay — taking the ferry with us and helping us with all our luggage. He prepared mosquito repellent and medicine before our tour, wet wipes before we depart, always on hand with umbrella for us to beat the heat. That level of care is rare and deeply touching. All the butlers were very sincere and passionate. We have no words. We feel truly blessed to meet all of them. The property itself was immaculate — serene, elegant, and as uniquely charming as a Lohkah hotel can be. Lohkah remains my favourite hotel brand in China, not because of the architecture alone, but because of the people who bring these beautiful spaces to life. I will never forget the sweetness of this team: preparing a lovely tiramisu cake for my birthday, picking us up from a tea store when we got lost on the island, and accompanying us to the most beautiful sunset spots in Gulangyu. They made us feel less like guests and more like dear friends visiting from afar. Isak, Yuki, Leo, and Harlan — thank you for making our stay so remarkable, lovely, and unforgettable. Excelente, bien pagado, y tranquilo. Las habitaciones son limpias y modernas, el servicio es excelente, incluyendo las instalaciones son grandes - nos gustaba especialmente el baño y las variedades de jabón y lociones disponibles. El café era decente. El desayuno era de alta calidad, aunque se limitaba a 2 opciones (estilo chino y nodos de Satay) que cambian diariamente. Sólo se quejaba que la piscina en el techo no estaba disponible actualmente, a pesar de las fotos mostradas en Trip.com indican lo contrario y tiene un acceso sorprendentemente pobre a la playa por lo cerca que está al océano, No es suficientemente molesto para dar menos de 5 estrellas.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat. **Location & Presence:** You absolutely cannot miss this property—it is one of the tallest buildings in the surrounding area, making it a prominent landmark on the skyline and incredibly easy to find or navigate back to after a long day of exploring. **The Room & Views:** We were lucky enough to have room with a seaview, and it completely stole the show. Waking up every morning right from our window was a breathtaking experience. The room itself was immaculate, spacious, and perfectly designed to frame the gorgeous coastal backdrop. **The Service & Hospitality:** What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the customer service. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Our host was an absolute gem—incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and passionate about the local area. They provided us with fantastic, insider recommendations, historical context, and transit tips that completely elevated our travel itinerary. It felt like having a personal local guide right at the front desk. **The Breakfast:** Do not skip the breakfast! The morning buffet was great. Instead of the standard, uninspired continental fare, this hotel curates an incredible spread that allows you to sample a massive variety of authentic local dishes in one convenient stop. It was the perfect, delicious introduction to the regional flavors without having to hunt down multiple street vendors or cafes.

This is a very good hotel. It is right next to the shopping mall, so restaurants and coffee shops are everywhere. We really appreciated the friendly front desk staff getting us an upgraded room. It is spacious, cleaned, comfortable, and fully stocked with everything we need. We love their long and cleaned pool. It’s perfect for lap swimmers. Definitely we will recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

I recently stayed at this modern hotel located in one of those sleek contemporary towers you see a lot in China lately. The ground-floor entrance lobby is beautiful — very elegant decoration and an absolutely amazing scent that greets you right away (I’d love to know what perfume they use, it’s addictive!). The reception is on the 5th floor, and it feels like the access is exclusive to hotel guests, which adds a nice sense of calm and privacy. The room was excellent: spacious, bright, beautifully designed with great taste, and extremely comfortable. The bed is one of the best I’ve slept in recently — super comfy pillows and a fantastic Nordic duvet. The shower is outstanding, with excellent water pressure and plenty of flow (they clearly put a lot of thought into the bathroom). It also has a Japanese-style toilet, which I really love for the comfort and features. Instead of a traditional wardrobe, there’s an open rack with hangers, but honestly it didn’t bother me at all and fits perfectly with the minimalist, modern vibe of the hotel. The location isn’t the most central or pedestrian-friendly (it’s more in an office area), and there aren’t many restaurants nearby at the same level as the hotel. That said, there’s a Starbucks, a couple of nice coffee places, and a lake close by that makes the surroundings quite pleasant. I wasn’t looking for a super central spot anyway, so it wasn’t an issue for me. Overall: a very positive experience. I felt really comfortable, everything was clean and well thought out, and I would definitely stay again. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a modern, stylish hotel with attention to detail that makes a real difference. 100% worth it!

Nice location and nice service, I received a free room upgrade. They told me I booked a room without a window and took me to a better room with a terrace balcony. The breakfast was so cute, shaped like a chinese man. It was my first hotel and my first breakfast in China, so very good experience!

After a long flight from Greece we arrived late at night in this beautiful hotel in Xiamen. The staff at the lobby was very helpful and informative and welcomed us with a kind smile. Our room was in the sixth floor, very clean and new. The building had two fast elevators. In every corner there was a vending machine that fulfilled every need. There was a robot for delivery in the rooms. The cleaning ladies kept our room refreshed and tidy everyday, clean towels and amenities. The shower water was always in the perfect temperature. The breakfast was serving extremely good quality and variety of food and there was free laundry service and gym at the facility. I need to point out the hospitality and kindness of the staff, which made our stay at the hotel feel like home. The neighborhood around the hotel is exactly what a traveller wishes for. There is a traditional market, very picturesque and beautiful, 24h shops, convenient stores, cafès, pharmacies, bars and all kinds of stores but at the same time the environment is tranquil and relaxed for the perfect holidays.The surrounding greenery and trees make everything so beautiful. I cannot express how satisfied we were for picking Xence Hotel for our stay in Xiamen. I really hope we come here again in the future.

Lovely hotel Le Meridien Xiamen is set in a serene forest environment, perfect for a quiet retreat. The ground floor rooms are ideal for easy accessibility. Our room w/3 guest beds, a balcony facing and provide a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature. We particularly enjoy daily delicious buffet breakfast and dinner, with a variety of options to cater to all taste buds. Centrally located for visits to Gulangyu Island (leave before 5 PM to avoid peak rush) and Riyuegu Hotsprings (all-day retreat till 10 PM). Taxis are affordable but ensure they run on the meter. Cash payment is accepted, but drivers may not have change as most use contactless payments like Alipay, which can auto-translate to English and other languages. The hotel's tranquil environment and delectable dining options make it an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway for a mother + 2 daughters…

Need read the caption carefully and ready your translator, there is no lobby or automatic gate, just wait for the owner to come and pick us up, but since its the first time I am in China, it is a little bit confusing But the room condition, viewals, location is the best, would be here again for my next trip😃

I traveled to Xiamen during the Chinese spring service with my dog and took a day trip to Kinmen Island, Taiwan, just off the coast. This hotel was in fact an apartment building with several management companies renting out rooms on various floors. Overall the building was in a horrendous state of disrepair. Initially, the front desk tried to put me into a room on the sixth floor which looked like a scene from a horror movie... Stains on floor, walls, dirt and garbage everywhere....I asked if this is the same room I booked and another female staff member moved me to the 9 th floor which was at least clean and updated, in the hall. The room was ok, and bed comfortable, but I've never stayed in a hotel that put sheets directly on the mattress without a minimal pad between... Luckily no bed bugs. The room had 3 out of 8 working lightbulbs so it was very dark. The heater didn't warm up the room even at max level running all day. Everything was old and dingy... Nothing like the photos I had no TV or Internet service the first day until I asked for it to be repaired. Overall, no maintenance is the problem.. But at least the woman at the front desk was helpful and kind That only real redeeming quality of the room was the view... But the window was so dirty, it was mostly obscured.
