Wow! What an amazing place to stay and how lucky we were to find it. By far the best place we stayed in China. Mrs. Li (the owner) was so genuinely nice and caring, and we felt like part of the family staying there. One of my favorite things in Kashgar was hanging out with her and her family in the evenings. She always invited us at night to hangout in the common area where she would make us tea and share her fresh and dried fruits with us. She was really good at using a translator app, so we were able to have a good conversation with her through that. She has a great little family. Her son speaks good English and was also very nice. She had a young daughter who also speaks English, but is more shy with it (though she will sing you a Taylor Swift song..she has a great voice). They have 3 cats and the youngest one, little tiger, is just the sweetest and the friendliest cat I have ever met. It was such a good and warm feeling to stay there. We definitely wish we could visit again. A home away from home. And we were treated so generously in more ways than we can write here. Mrs. Li asked us right away if there was anything she could help us with, without us having to ask, which we really appreciated, and she took the time to sit down with us to go over our plans. She let us store our luggage for 3 days and walked us out to help us get a taxi when we departed. While it was the family that made it simply amazing, some might also be interested in the following information. The location is great. On a quiet street. Close to the big mosque which is a good landmark to use to find the area. And of course close to the old city. It's also really close to the biggest supermarket we have found thus far in China (we have to admit it was nice to get a few ”luxuries” from home like cereal and hot chocolate). The guesthouse is cute and has a Central Asian feel. The shower works great and is hot. We were there in the winter, and the room has heat if you needed it. Mrs. Li was able to arrange a driver for us to go to Tashkorgun and the Karakorum Highway, which was super helpful. The place was nice and clean. Thank you so much Mrs. Li! Poet Song is an amazing place! Location: Very convenient. Short 10 minute Didi taxi ride (10rmb) to the ancient city. Or can take bus (2 RMB) 15mins. From Airport Didi 15 mins (20 RMB). Room: The room is clean, with fast wifi, very cool aircon, smart lights and curtains. Has all the amenities you need: kettle, great hairdryer and each day will have basic room cleaning and you get new toiletries and bottled water. Besides the comfort of the room, what makes this place really great are the staff. From the moment you arrive, they come out to greet you, take you into their cozy reception room and check you in while enjoying fruits and/or Xinjiang nut snacks. Not all staff spoke English but any translation app will do and they all are so willing to help. They gave very valuable advice of places to visit so ask them any questions! The owner can speak English and I'm sure you will get to meet him as he is very hands on and around everyday to make sure all his guests are taken care of and enjoying their stay. He is a great guy and I believe is the real reason what makes this hotel so good! When I come back to Kashi/Kashgar, no hesitation I will definitely stay at this hotel. Highly recommend!!! Oh there are also three adorable cats!

This is an international youth hostel with an extraordinary atmosphere, and the environment and hygiene are also quite good. I first heard about it from a friend who stayed here before. It’s truly fantastic once you arrive! The two hosts are extremely kind—since it’s winter now, they even provided us with hot water bottles, which is so thoughtful. Especially coming to Kashgar from the colder regions of Central Asia, I feel much warmer here. I will definitely recommend this hostel to my friends if they come here next time.

Me alojé en este lugar durante una semana. Estoy súper contento con este hotel y lo recomiendo. El dueño es muy amable y siempre está dispuesto a ayudar con cualquier cosa. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was cozy, clean and well prepared, and the location made it easy for us to explore nearby places and try local food. The service was attentive, and the staff were always polite and willing to help whenever we needed anything. It felt comfortable, safe and peaceful throughout our stay, which made our trip more enjoyable and relaxing.

This is the most ”personally friendly” youth hostel I have ever stayed in. I met many friends who respected each other here. As someone who comes from a province (Yunnan) that combines both ”natural scenery” and ”human warmth”, I have traveled to 34 countries with a backpack. Previously, I tended to prefer choosing a cheap single room for myself. But excellent youth hostels attract excellent people to gather together. This environment really enables me to learn how to accept people from different cultures more easily. The owner of this youth hostel is very generous, providing free mineral water, snacks, fruits, etc. The air conditioning in the rooms works properly, and the partitions between beds and beds are very private.
