«Although the hotel has a long long history, but the room, common area, common facilities have been maintained fairly well. In very good location, close to Sogo. House cleaning is done well while we stayed there. Loved the gym, one of the very few hotels that I have stayed in with a proper size gym. Has kids play area, family friendly. Has in hotel massage and spa. Service is great, particularly the doormen, they were super helpful with our luggage and getting on and off taxis with our kid. Very reasonably priced. Also loved the in room popcorn snack. Attention to detail is great for me.»

«Hotel is great overall, but beds are really hard surface type. The hotel feels like was last renovated / built some 20 or so years ago, which makes everything looks dated. However, in terms of cleanliness, service and location it is an excellent hotel (if you are ok sleeping on a hard bed). Staff is very helpful. We didn’t try spa or dining so cannot comment here. Location is good: it is not too far from central district yet if you’re driving (we did) you don’t have to drive through the most congested areas. There are a few excellent coffee places nearby. Many places around to eat.»

«Estabamos en una pensión de dos noches. El cuarto con una cama de Queens y una cama individual también estaba bien decorado con la ventana Erker y está bien para las dos noches. Todo estaba bien mantenido y no en estado de acostumbramiento. El desayuno asiático fue rico y el segundo día se hizo un pequeño cambio. La cena fue ofrecida como buffet de platos más fríos y cálidos. La calidad fue muy buena y saborosa. El desayuno y la cena pueden mejorarse cuando se calienta la comida. Quiero destacar especialmente la orientación del servicio de la empleada del spa, que nos ha ayudado mucho en la lavadora y nos ha tratado muy cordialmente en las visitas del spa. El spa está en F1 y tiene 5 bañeras, una sauna de 72° y un baño de vapor. El establecimiento ha estado en funcionamiento durante varias décadas, pero es absolutamente limpio y muy bien mantenido. Sólo el ruido de la ventilación está perturbando algo.»

«We had a great stay at Freshfields Hotel in Taichung. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, nicely maintained and very comfortable. While the location isn’t the most convenient, the hotel offers shuttle services that you can book in advance, which made getting around much easier. A heads-up for anyone planning to use the public baths: make sure to bring a swimming cap or shower cap, as well as a swimsuit. If you forget, you’ll need to purchase them at the hotel in order to use the facilities. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable experience!»
