Posadas en Taichung

I did not expect this accommodation to be a motel based on its Chinese name, so it was a bit of a surprise when I checked in. The location is very convenient, which is a big plus. However, the overall environment had a slight smell of cigarette smoke. The room itself was spacious, but for guests arriving on foot, the access route is not very intuitive—you need to go down to the basement first and then enter through the parking garage, which makes the circulation feel somewhat inconvenient.

The hotel is situated on a quiet street yet remains in a central area of Taichung City, offering the best of both worlds. Public transportation is easily accessible. The customer service was excellent, with clear and helpful explanations provided during check-in. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The room is just at level 2 near the lobby. Pretty near to the train station and also walking distance to many attractions. The toilet was cool with 2 bathrooms and 2 separate dry toilets. The staff was friendly and helpful. There are total 5 bunk beds enough for total of 12 people to stay. Though the free space might be limited to accommodate many luggages. Might keep the clothes in the locker space (where the blanket and pillow was originally kept). We specifically like the free selection of drinks available at the lobby area. There’s free laundry available with dryer only for TWD 10 for 20mins (which is so much cheaper compared to Taipei). A very nice solace to stay :)

Stylish design hotel in Taichung's old town. Clean rooms, comfy beds, and amazing staff. 10-min walk from train station. Close to Miyahara and Second Market. Rooms are small and soundproofing is just okay, but great value for money. Free afternoon snacks! Perfect for solo or couple travelers or family too . ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had a pleasant stay at Tea Way Hotel in Taichung. The location is very convenient. There are plenty of convenience stores, restaurants, and popular attractions nearby, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a cozy bed that helped us rest well after a full day of sightseeing.

Ubicación: está ubicado frente al tren local Taichung, no hsr taichung. Pero es muy fácil acceder usando el tren local desde hsr taichung/Xinwuri hasta el tren local taichung. Hay muchas tiendas de conveniencia cercanas y dos tiendas vegetarianas ubicadas cerca del hotel y la otra justo en un pasillo al lado del hotel. Servicios: regala un poco de té y café. Proporciona calentador de agua. Secador de pelo incluido. Toallas proporcionadas. Algunos autoservicio pueden llevar del mostrador una afeitadora de un solo uso, un cepillo y pasta de dientes y calzado de interior. Lavandería de autoservicio cerca del vestíbulo (~60 ********* yuanes) Prueba de sonido: 4/5 Servicio de hotel:4/5 La primera foto es la calle cerca del hotel. excellent service by all staff; all smiley and ready to help. the free meals were such a bonus and god sent as some days we got too busy with our itinerary and didn’t have time to eat so we would go back to hotel for supper. although the menu was the same everyday, we didn’t mind as the quality was quite decent and there were varieties. the water pressure was the best! bed was comfortable, aircon was cold, smart tv, quick resolution service by technicians when we couldn’t connect to the room wifi. overall would recommend! there’s also a massage service with discount for room guests; quite mediocre but for the price ok la.

I love the whole vibe of the hotel where it give off this rustic industrial look but the interior of the room is really nice. Front desk was super accommodating when we wanted to upgrade our room but the initial upgraded room was not to our liking and they kindly suggested another room for us to have a look first before we decide on it. we were able to check in an hour earlier as well and was able to keep our luggage at the front desk after check out and return back later to collect. overall an amazing experience with SOF hotel and would definitely come back to stay when im in taichung again

I recently spent two nights at The Metro Hotel (豪爵大飯店台中館) in Taichung, and overall, it was a very practical, comfortable, and well-situated experience. Located right on Wuquan Road in the West District, this 3.5-star property strikes an excellent balance between affordability and convenience. If you are looking for a reliable base to explore the city, here is a detailed breakdown of my stay.  The room was spacious, exceptionally clean, and featured a nice view of the surrounding city. The bed was on the firmer side but very supportive, providing a great night's sleep after long days of walking. A major highlight for me was the climate control. I absolutely need a cool sleeping environment and always set the thermostat to 21°C; thankfully, the room’s air conditioning was powerful and maintained that crisp, chilly temperature perfectly throughout both nights.  There are two minor caveats to the room: • Electrical Outlets: There are very few power outlets available. If you have multiple devices to charge (phone, laptop, power banks), I highly recommend bringing a small travel extension cord.  • Soundproofing: While the room itself was peaceful, the door soundproofing is a bit lacking. You can occasionally hear other guests in the hallway or neighboring doors closing.  The hotel provides all the essential basics without overcomplicating things. The bathroom was roomy with great water pressure and came stocked with standard toiletries. A huge plus for travelers is the self-service laundry room located on the 5th floor. The front desk staff were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful with luggage storage. It is worth noting that they strictly enforce their 4:00 PM check-in time—you generally cannot get into your room a minute earlier—but they do offer a generous 12:00 PM check-out, allowing for a relaxed morning.
