Zemi Beach House, LXR Hotels & Resorts

We would go back to Zemi in a heartbeat. The beach is unreal, the food was all delicious, great drinks at reasonable prices, the rooms were huge and clean. We were in a garden view king and we’re surprised even that room has a nice ocean view from the patio. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. We loved the fact there were plenty of chairs at both the pool and beach even though the hotel was sold out over new years holiday. One thing to mention is the hotel is built on a bill so there is quite a steep walk back to the room if you are in building 3 like we were. Would highly recommend Zemi to anyone.

Cannot possibly recommend Zemi enough! Absolutely incredible stay all around! My husband and I honeymooned in Anguilla and decided to return to the island for our 10th anniversary. We stayed at Zemi for 6 nights and truly could not have been happier! We were greeted by a Zemi employee at the airport who was expecting us and connected us to our driver to the resort. When we arrived, we had a delicious rum punch while we checked in. We arrived around 2pm so our room wasn’t quite ready. They stored our luggage and offered for us to change in the nice bathrooms just outside the front desk. Once we were changed, one of the lovely ladies drove us in the golf cart down to the main area, showing us all of the important stops along the way, and then we sat by the pool and swam until our lovely host personally returned to take us to our room. She took the time to show us all of the amenities which we appreciated. We had an Oceanview King Room and the room was beautiful! It was very spacious with ample space to move around. We loved the dual closets with built in dressers and shelving. The bathroom was HUGE - it had a vanity for makeup, dual sinks, a large shower with giant shower head (placed plenty high for my 6’7 husband… a true rarity!) and an absolutely delightful soaking tub. They provided sandals, a beach bag, ample toiletries, bottled water and cookies every night at turn down service and had a mini bar with a small assor**ent of beverages (alcoholic and non) and some snacks if needed. The room had a very nice coffee/cappucino maker with Illy coffees and an assor**ent of teas. Our room had a view of the ocean over the rooftops of the restaurants, a large balcony with lounge chairs and a small dining table and chairs. We enjoyed having a morning cup of coffee/tea out there each day. The room was also incredibly quiet which was much appreciated. The hot water would not come on in our shower the first night and they sent someone to check it out within minutes and fixed it before we returned from dinner. We got the breakfast package at 20 Knots and it was amazing! There was a custom egg station and the most beautiful array of pastries, fruits, meats, cheeses, roasted veggies, breads and an assor**ent of traditional breakfast buffet offerings like pancakes/waffles, scrambled eggs, hash browns, etc. All of the ladies that served us at 20 Knots were so very lovely and attentive, led by the wonderful Stacey. They never batted an eye at any request and took such great care of us. I wish I could remember all of their names! We chose Anguilla for this trip because we wanted an incredible beach and Shoal Bay did NOT disappoint!! The water was stunning, the sand is beautifully light and soft. We didn’t experience any “rough” conditions - just some blowing wind a few days that would have made paddle boarding or kayaking a challenge but didn’t hinder our ability to snorkel at the reefs along the bay. We had the BEST family vacation! My husband and I were looking for an easy trip away with our 3-year-old son, and Anguilla being a 3-hour direct flight from Miami, it was close but still far enough away - we headed over for a week's stay and we were not disappointed. To start, the resort is BEAUTIFUL! All the charm of a small boutique hotel, but with the amenities you would expect at a large resort. Your first stop upon arrival is check in, we were greeted with rum punch (delicious!) and fruit punch for our son. We were given a tour of the resort by a wonderful gentleman, I can't remember his name, but he knew everything and was so delightful to speak with. Last stop was being dropped at our room. (note: Zemi Beach House is all walkable, but they do have golfcarts if you need a ride up the hill at any point). Our room had direct beach access, with breathtaking views of Shoal Bay and the crystal-clear blue water! The room was updated, decorated nicely, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our week away. They provide you with beach bags and flip flops in the room, and also gave our son a giant bag of beach toys for the week, which really made his day and playing in the sand so much fun. All special touches! Also, every night at turndown they bring you fresh cookies, a sweet way to end your day :) We enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning at 20 Knots, which was a nice way to start the day. Seating options are available inside and outside, either way you will see the ocean and beach. For food, there are plenty of pastry options and they are all baked fresh daily (so yummy!), omelet / eggs made to order, fresh fruit, daily smoothies, fresh OJ and coffee, etc. In addition to breakfast, we would order poolside snacks -- fresh fruit, chips and guacamole, conch fritters, fish tacos, and cocktails! Their rum punch is fantastic, and we also enjoyed their cucumber refresher on multiple occasions. For kids, there were plenty of options that our son enjoyed -- chicken nuggets, cheeseburger, grilled cheese and he LOVED their smoothies. Food was always fresh, and very tasty. We also stopped by the Bohio Lounge on some nights for a late dessert and drink - there is music nightly which is really nice as well. The lounge is really well done, seating is comfortable and inviting and the ambiance is fantastic. The staff at 20 Knots and Bohio are incredible. They were warm, attentive and treated our son like a celebrity. They are family focused and there to make sure you are well taken care of. Five-star service from everyone! Most of our trip was spent at the resort, there are plenty of very good food options and things to do, so you don't need to leave! The pool was a highlight for our son, and he also loved the beach. The sand and water are perfect on Shoal Bay, great for playing, building castles, and finding shells, and the water is calm enough for little ones to also enjoy. I had such high expectations for Zemi based on reviews and ratings. Sadly the resort fell short for me. We first stayed at the Four Seasons (5 star all the way) for 4 nights, then Zemi Beach House for 2 nights. Preferred the Four Seasons for various reasons. Let's start with the good. The resort itself is lovely. The beach is stunning and the Infinity pool facing the ocean with daybeds, absolutely dreamy! Honestly one of the most beautiful beaches we have been to, and we've been to many. Beach and pool are a short walk from rooms which is super convenient. Room itself was spacious and well appointed. Amazing bathroom with indoor AND outdoor shower, also a soaking tub. Breakfast was decent, although they got my omelet order wrong both days. The Rhum room we almost didn't get to try (more on that later) is a must-do! Dinner at the sushi lounge was good, as was the live music. Service was mostly good, had to wait 30 minutes for an order of not very good guacamole...kind of annoying. I don't recall Beach service to order food and drinks. You had to go to the beach bar to order and they would deliver to your loungers. Cocktails were tasty and reasonably priced but weak. For the most part staff was very friendly. The Bad. Ocean view rooms are a must for us. My husband booked our 2 nights using loyalty points. To ensure an ocean view, my husband went with the additional point option of Ocean View. He was actually able to select the room on the websites site map. We picked what looked like an awesome ocean view room. When we arrived, we were informed that we had received an upgraded ocean view room, room 612. YAY!! As stated above, the room interior was very nice. Our room had a small balcony (another must have for me) with two chairs facing the beach at a side angle that had mostly a lovely view of the long stretch of beach. I say "mostly" because there was also a view of ongoing construction. When I walked out on the balcony I noticed some bird poop on the floor but didn't think too much of it. The following day I went on the balcony and discovered bird poop all over one of the chairs AND on my swimsuit that I had placed out to dry. GROSS. It was then that I realized the balcony wasn't really covered, it had wood slats that did not offer shade and was apparently a favorite pooping spot for birds. So basically the balcony was a completely unusable space as it offered no shade and the risk of being pooped on was high. This was an upgraded room?? Huh. I think I would have preferred the room we originally picked out. We viewed it from the outside and it did indeed have a fully covered balcony and had ocean views without construction views and noise. Sadly, no sitting outside enjoying the view for me. VERY disappointing. I honestly feel like we got screwed, we used a HUGE amount of points for these 2 nights, enough points to books 7 nights somewhere else nice. Had we been staying longer, We would have requested a different room, but it didn't seem

My family and I had a marvelous time visiting Zemi and the island of Anguilla. The turquoise ocean water and the white sand beach are just the tip of the iceberg of the property’s beauty. A highlight of our trip was the Wednesday night Caribbean BBQ. Our stay was elevated by the caring and talented staff. Zemi Beach is truly a magical place that I look forward to visiting again soon.

This place is amazing. The rooms are exquisite, staff is amazing and the spa is the best I have ever been to. Food is great!!

We leave tomorrow and couldn’t be more please with our stay. The attention to detail was impeccable; from arrival, beach chairs, massage, and dinner. It felt like the staff to guest ratio was high and everything was well maintained. Very pleased. Only miss was supposed to have fruit and chocolates upon arrival for spouse’s birthday which they could have easily rectified once they were told, a little unfortunate, but made up for the error with customer service throughout the stay. Highly recommend the couple massage and dinner at Stone. Well trained and friendly staff. Top vacation, will be back.

Zemi would have gotten 5/5 if it weren't for a few things that detracted a bit. First, the good. The resort is beautiful and the beach area and pools are amazing. This is easily the most beautiful Hilton resort I have ever been to. The breakfast restaurant is in the perfect location and it was so nice to have breakfast on the beach. Our room was very large and even though it was garden view, the view was beautiful of the adult pool, the grounds and in the distance, the ocean. The beds were comfy and the shower/bath were great. The gym is very decent for a hotel and the little lap pool is great if you want to swim some laps. The setting couldn't be better. People rave about the service and I found it to be a mixed bag. The lady who serviced the room was lovely and efficient and did an outstanding job. The front lobby team was responsive and very good as well. The staff in the restaurants were hit-and-miss though. We waited every morning for a table for breakfast while they had to set things up. They always seemed very put out having to add 2 place settings to the tables that were set up for 2. Orders were forgotten and were very slow, and some of the serving staff seemed very annoyed to have to bring out drinks that we ordered. It was a bit strange. Other serving people were so great, so it is really just a mixed bag. The other annoying thing was that when we checked in our room wasn't ready (we were a little early but they also knew we would be there around 3:15 and to make it great, the room would ideally be ready). Still, that is fine. What was odd is that the bellman took us on a tour of the resort which really just meant that he took us directly to the restaurant and seated us, so we were expected to get food or drinks. I would have far preferred just being left alone to lounge by the pool, but he was very clear what we should sit and order something. Or was 3:30 pm. We didn't want anything so got some fries and another snacky thing. $50 later our room was ready. The food at 20 knots was expensive and very average. The food 100 yards up the beach at Gwen's was much better, and a little less expensive (with the same view). Actually the food away from the hotel was much better than at the hotel. Blanchards is fantastic. We just did the Blanchards shack and it was the best food we had on the island. Gwens is also fantastic and worth the little stroll up the beach. The people at Gwens are also the nicest we encountered on the island- super relaxed and happy. None of the "bad" things were really bad. They were just a bit off and unfortunate for a place that could very easily be perfect. The hotel itself is incredible and most of the staff is too. Just a few oddities.

I don’t arrive at Zemi until next Saturday & already their customer service has blown me away. They made all my dinner reservations. Answered my questions promptly. Inquired about arrival & transportation. Starting like this…. Wow. Will let you know how the trip goes.
