Anxious Traveler
10 de mayo de 2024
Overall, this experience for me was only 3/5 stars.
Pros:
Location was great - It's located in the ZARA building walking distance from the Bund and close to restaurants and shops
Security - we felt safe and secure in the building as there was a doorman for most parts of the daytime
Washer - the room we booked had a washer was a big plus. We went to dry our clothes at a laundromat just a short 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
Noise level - it was pretty quiet for being located on such a busy street. We didn't hear any noise
Blackout curtains - this was the best part of the room as it allowed us to sleep in most days.
Cons:
Maintainence of the hotel could be improved - the room itself looked a bit worn down from stays and needs repairs/maintenance. For example, our room had scuffs on the walls and cigarette burns on the floors. Overall, it didn't really affect our stay because we are flexible travelers, but overall, it left a negative impression of the hotel as it made the room look dirty even though it may be clean. There were also mismatched cups in the room which is something I'm not used to in most hotels I've been to. It just shows the lack of care from the managers/owners of this hotel. You can see in the photos I've attached as to what I mean.
"Gym facilities" listed on the hotel listing is incorrect - we checked in and asked about the treadmill/fitness area to which the front desk clerk was very confused. She said the treadmill has not been working for a long time. This was one of the reasons we chose this hotel over the others, but it was very disappointing to learn that it was not available.
