Reservamos una semana en esta estructura. ¿Qué decir ... todo fue espectacular! La habitación es bonita, amplia (aunque necesitaría una nueva reestructuración) y sobre todo muy limpia. El desayuno es realmente excelente: pasteles excelentes, diferentes cada mañana, pasteles salados, salsas y queso con pan caliente, panqueques (sofás, que mi marido adoraba). La piscina pequeña pero muy bonita, la hemos utilizado algunas tardes para buscar un poco de refrigeración. Las telas de piscina son proporcionadas por la estructura. Muy acogedor y disponible el personal: nos sentimos realmente coqueteados (sobre todo un par de chicos del personal de Campania, con los que nos detuvimos a menudo parar a hablar, y a veces nos aconsejaron). Todo realmente muy bonito, lamentable que la vacaciones hayan terminado ... ¡Felicidades por esta hermosa realidad, especialmente de los jóvenes, y esperamos volver pronto!

Abbiamo trascorso il capodanno in questo hotel. Nonostante la struttura fosse piena tutti gli ospiti sono stati accolti con molte attenzioni e disponibilita'. La camera pulita ed essenziale. Ottima la ristorazione ed il Cenone dell'ultimo dell'anno. Staff professionale e disponibile. Unica pecca... l'organizzazione della sala ristorante...

Soy de la opinión de que si no tienes nada bueno que decir es mejor callar, pero son casi las 12 de la noche y, junto a mi habitación económica ( que no barata) y dentro del mismo hotel hay una boda en el mismo claustro al que da la ventana de mi cuarto, con su cena, sus que se besen, su concurso entre ls mesas, su baile y sus fuegos artificiales!!!!, mañana quisiera aprovechar para ver el val d’orcia, pero, de momento veo cuestión complicada la de poder dormir. Hace dos meses que reservé y nadie me avisó de esto!!! Pues en justa venganza hago este comentario, añadiendo que las habitaciones son enanas, con muy poca luz, natural y artificial, solo hay una mesilla, la habitación está en un segundo sin ascensor, el parking disponible mas cercano está a mas de 10 minutos andando y no se puede acceder al hotel en coche para bajar el equipaje. El extractor del baño va con la luz, hace un ruido espantoso y tarda 5 minutos en apag****, así i que por la noche es mejor ir al baño con la linterna del móvil si no quieres despertar a tu pareja, la piscina cierra a las 7 y solo puede uno entrar en ella por la escalerilla de aluminio (no tiene escalera y está prohibido tir**** desde arriba). Ya son mas de las 12 de la noche y sigue la fiesta, el bebé que lloraba desconsolado en una habitación próxima por fin se ha dormido, me temo que a sus padres tampoco les avisaron

Hotel dei Capitani is situated on the edge of Montalcino (only a 5 min walk from the centre) with spectacular views of the valley below. Rooms are quite small but provide wonderful views, a comfy bed and a well equipped bathroom. A good selection of cereals, pastries, etc were provided for breakfast on the terrace overlooking miles of Brunello vineyards below. There are some excellent restaurants in Montalcino so we didn't have dinner in the restaurant.

The concept is to renovate village houses into hotel rooms while providing breakfast and other amenities in another building. The rooms were nice, not great, but I still loved the concept. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the ”Palazzo” a few hundred meters away on a semi-covered outdoor patio. Breakfast was excellent but in late September it can feel like camping out. Shivering while sipping your coffee is not quite a luxury experience. We were here on a bike tour. We have toured throughout Europe and many times in Italy. This is the very first hotel I have ever encountered which charges to store bikes in a garage: 5 euros per bike per night. We were there for 6 days. I could understand if we had e-bikes that needed to be plugged into a power source, but ours were just leaned against the wall - for 5 euros each per night. Also be aware that the pool is off limits unless you are staying in the Palazzo. And the nice outdoor patio, you can only use it if you buy drinks from the bar. Lastly the staff at the front desk were thoroughly disagreeable. It was as if they didn't understand that we were the guests and their job was to welcome and assist us, not that we asked for much more than room keys. Having said that, the restaurant staff were gracious, friendly and accommodating. Again, I loved the concept, but the execution needs some work. Would I stay here again? Nope.
