We loved the a**osphere of this hotel, though I really think it should be called a Bed and Breakfast. It was in a nice old building with pretty woodwork. The proprietor was very nice to us, helpful and great to talk to. Room we had was larger than what we normally get in the UK with plenty of room to lay out our things. The hotel is in a good location close to the train station and bus stop. It’s easy to get around on the Isle of Wight, the Hotel made this even more convenient. The English breakfast was wonderful, just what we needed to get us through the day. There is also the ability to get other meals during the day and the prices were reasonable and of course we enjoyed the service. This is one of the very few hotels we were sad to leave and will miss.

A small, older house hotel. An attentive owner who was helpful and friendly. The breakfast (included) and evening meals were delicious and reasonably priced. There was a bar, quiet lounge and a small garden / patio area to sit in the evenings.

Had a short stay which was excellent. Service was outstanding and the food was always good and well presented the times we dined for both 3 breakfast & 2 evening meals during out stay. Would recommend for couples especially who want a quiet stay where you will be well looked after by the hosts.

had a lovely stay room very clean judy the owner is smashing the breakfast is great we had the full English had the bar meals in the evening great value for money and cooked by her son Alex who is a great chef this has been our 4 year going already booked for next year b golder

Lovely, quaint hotel in Sandown. Not too far from the high street or beach. Very close to island train line (when actually running!) and bus stop. Really friendly owners with a delicious, fresh cooked breakfast cooked from 8-9am The hotel is really nice and very comfortable and quiet. I would definitely stay here again when visiting the Isle of Wight 🌞

A friendly and excellent value hotel. We loved the welcome from Judy and her continued excellent service throughout. All was well organised. Very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The extremely good cooked breakfasts started the day well..

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. First impressions are good and when you enter the lovely hotel Judy comes to greet you. Judy works so hard, she's friendly and very helpful. Alex does a good job at cooking breakfast every morning as Judy takes any requests etc. Breakfast is nicely cooked and you have several options, including extra tea/coffee and toast, plus cereal.
As for the room, just as many people have said before, it's an old building and looking a little tired now but the rooms were lovely and clean. The only slight downside for us was the shower, it is small but we managed it and it would not prevent us staying here again.

Stayed here for 8 nights in a twin room with my son. One of the quietest hotels we have stayed in and location is convenient for transport and shops. Lovely clean room but tv and shower were on the small side. Breakfast was very good. Great value for money and would stay here again.

I had to provide my own non-dairy milk for breakfast even when I had contacted the hotel before arriving. The heating was put on after we arrived but that's understandable with the present rise in costs. A distinct lack of tea and coffee making provisions in the room. Only one thin extra blanket provided for 2 beds. No hair dryer in the room.
