Amazing value, great location, polite staff and very clean. 5 Star! I wanted to take this moment to iron out any concerns. Yes the hotel may be of a certain age and yes there may be areas that require updating but PLEASE don’t let this put off booking. We arrived late due to a delay and we were welcomed by a member of staff in the early hours (2am to be exact) who was very friendly and gave us all the information we needed in terms of breakfast and room service. Initially we had feared the reception would be closed but thankfully all was well. Breakfast - being vegan I was worried about this but I did not have to worry. There is a wide selection of fruit (much of it organic), beautiful watermelon, seeded grapes, apricots, peaches etc. Plus, cereals (inc. gluten free options), rice milk, soya milk, fresh bread, jams and more. There were also salad /savoury options available. For non vegans, there is lots to choose from including meats, eggs, cheeses, a wide array of cakes, cereals, croissants and much more. A good range of drinks available too! Bottled water, juices, tea, coffee and more! The room - Very clean throughout with daily room service (including fresh towels daily) We had room 409. A wonderful view overlooking vineyards and a small village heading towards Lazise (well worth a visit). Also great for sunsets! Transport. We recommend renting a car - we only stayed 4 nights but this proved to be the winning ticket where we were able to collect (and drop off) from the airport vs. What may have been a lengthy shuttle transfer. We recommend touring Lake Garda, there is so much to see, the people are great and the charm of the villages/architecture/scenery around the lake is really breathtaking. It takes about 4 hours to lap the lake, recommend in stages to get the best experience. Verona is very close to too (approx 35 minutes by car) and well worth the visit. If you’re feeling ambitious, Venice is 1.5 hours away by car (we plan on visiting when we return) You’ll not go hungry, the food is extremely plentiful and affordable wherever you are in and around the lake (plenty of vegan options too) To summarise, if you’re looking for somewhere with charm, good honest people and service with a smile this is the one. Don’t let a few minor faults with the hotel put you off a holiday to remember. If like us, we were there to experience the culture, the scenery, the people, the food,..not to live in the hotel and pick out small irrelevant faults like cracked bathroom tiles and worn paintwork, this is unrealistic. We look forward to returning in the future and send our best wishes to the staff!

The fabric of the hotel is very good. Clean and fresh and so it should be as I believe it has recently been refurbished. If you want a hotel where there is daytime/night time entertainment this is not for you. It is generally a quiet relaxing hotel. Children are allowed but they will have to provide their own entertainment. There are three pools, one in the spa, one adults only and one that children can use. The pool bar was not in operation while we were there. The hotel is a 50 min walk from the town of Lazise on reasonable paths that are shared with cyclists. But you take your life in your own hands as the cyclists and scooter riders just fly past with no warning. A taxi into town costs 15-20 euro. There is no shuttle bus at the hotel even though it indicates there is on the trip advisor hotel listing. And to the reviewer who says it is a 5 min walk to the lake..you are wrong. I would say it is at least 15 mins and that includes a shortcut through a vineyard and a campsite. The rooms are a decent size. Storage for clothes could be improved with more drawer/shelf space. There is a fridge (no mini bar) which on arrival has two bottles of water in. It seems pot luck as to whether the water is replenished. A good size TV but maybe only 3 English channels (news). The bedside lamps are quite dim...not enough light to read by. All rooms have a balcony or terrace for ground floor. There was no milk to make hot drinks. We purchased some from the local supermarket. Breakfast is more or less typical for a holiday hotel. Fresh fruit..well melon and pineapple, yogurts. Continental style with meats and cheeses plus a pastry section. Don't expect a full English here.... there is bacon, fried egg and sausage but that is all. The food was a decent quality. There is a gripe I do have in that when the bread ran out we were tod it was finished and no more would be coming out.....this wasn't at the end of the breakfast sitting but with still 45 mins to go. NOT ACCEPTABLE. One thing that we observed was a family who loaded up breakfast food of all description including fresh fruit, as well as taking water bottles from the display and then blatantly took it back to their rooms. They took plates piled high and filled bags. It wasn't as if they were having breakfast in their rooms as they were eating breakfast in the dining room. They were clearly taking food to eat later in the day! The staff knew but did nothing. Maybe that is why they ran out of bread. We only dined in the evening twice. The menu is not extensive .....in fact there were only two choices of main meal. Other course were labelled starter, first course, second course, so maybe you are supposed to have one of each course because the size of the main dish is not huge. If you have a decent appetite you will need more than one course. The main problem with this hotel is the lack of staff. There was not enough waiting staff at all so tables were delayed in getting cleared and more importantly food

Este hotel 3-4 estrella es exactamente como se describe y se evalúa. Así que no espere un palacio de lujo de 5 estrellas. Pero si quieres un buen hotel en una posición tranquila, un paseo a 10-15min al centro de Desenzano, entonces esto se ajusta a la factura. El hotel está en una zona de la ciudad, donde se encuentran los niños y los niños. Odio empacar una toalla en el equipaje de mano, así alquilado toallas de piscina (€3 por toalla para toda la estancia - no injusto) La piscina es de 25x10m, limpia, no demasiado clorada y un lindo 28 grados. El hotel de la familia tiene muchos niños, pero la piscina nunca fue demasiado ocupada, ni el espacio que lo rodeaba. No hay vista al lago, pero es razonablemente privada y creo que está bien. El bar de la piscina está abierto de mediodía a 7 y sirve comida sencilla (sandwiches, tostadas, chips, etc., junto con una gama razonable de bebidas) Un área de asiento separada, sombría, significa que puedes comer de la piscina. El hotel está en una habitación de 2 estrellas, donde se encuentran los más antiguos (como se esperaba), los nuevos renovados se ven más modernos y de lujo, pero el doble estándar que teníamos era como para las fotos. La habitación está bien, pero hay mucho agua caliente, una ducha razonable, muy buena AC y a pesar de las anteriores revisiones he encontrado el WiFi muy bueno. El desayuno fue variado y como se esperaba en un hotel de 4 estrellas. Nos quedamos cuando el hotel estaba lleno y aunque la zona de comedor estaba llena, nunca tuvimos que esperar a una mesa. Servir hasta las 10:00 significaba que podíamos estar también en el hotel. Las demás instalaciones que usamos eran la sala de estar. Un lugar razonable con 2 máquinas de manejo, un ciclo estático, una máquina de rodamiento, una máquina multipeso, un banco, pesos libres, calderas, bolas suizas y mat. El hotel está muy bien equipado, pero no se puede hacer nada. Las demás comentarios parecen positivas. Nunca hemos cenado en el hotel. Desenzano del Garda es una ciudad en la esquina occidental inferior del lago Garda. Tiene algunas tiendas de supermercado, pero en general es un lugar de atrás posicionado con muchos restaurantes. No espere bars modas o clubes nocturnos. Es claramente alimentado por el turismo, pero de nuevo no se siente demasiado ocupado o intimidante. Sólo un agradable lugar compacto. Es un 10-15 minutos a pie del hotel al centro de la ciudad que nunca fue un problema. La ciudad cuenta con una playa rocosa con un salón/alquiler en sombra, pedalos y restaurantes junto a la playa.
