The Nags Head Inn

Welcoming staff, clean premises and a good choice for Sunday lunch. We were a group of 7, all adults. Between us we had for starters - bacon mac n cheese bites, pulled bbq beef nachos, olives and calamari. Mains was roast lamb, beef and chicken and for dessert we had Baileys creme brule, maltesers sundae, raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake and a lemon meringue tart. Everything was fab, really good pub food. We would all happily visit again and hope to do so soon.

We had a lovely stay here. We were made very welcome by Zoe and her team. Our room was cosy , clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed for a comfortable break. The food here is outstanding. Our evening meals were a real highlight. All locally sourced and good quality ingredients. The Chef puts together some amazing flavour combinations. We loved every single course. Breakfast was also delicious. We will definitely return even though it is a 5 hour drive!! Thank you !!

If you want an away from the hustle and bustle of life this is an excellent location. If you want to eat excellent food beside a babbling river, this is the place. Inside is welcoming as are the staff. The guest bedrooms are very comfortable and overlooking the river.

Really nice find in a lovely location. Staff were really welcoming and helpful. Room was clean, tidy and well appointed. The weather didn’t allow it but will be back to utilise the outside space overlooking the river for some dinner and drinks Evening meal was immaculately presented, delicious and well priced.

The service from start to finish was excellent, firstly the room was clean and very comfortable and had everything I needed., the bed extremely comfortable. The evening meal was excellent and great value , which included the service the young lady was polite and efficient and a credit to the business. Breakfast again excellent once again . The Inn is peaceful and I am sure on a sunny evening sat outside next would be a delight. I shall be back .

Best food we have eaten out in such a long time. We went two days running with our three small girls and staff were extremely accommodating. The roast was incredible - as was the vegetarian option. The flavours were incredible. Children’s meals were great too. Gobbled up quickly and big smiles for a seal of approval. The pub is 5 minutes from Clydey Cottages - owned by the same couple - where we stay every year. The team have clearly got it right as standards are so high in both venues. We will be back again and again. Thank you!

Staying for two nights, we were very impressed with the welcome by Zoe, who continued to be attentive and helpful throughout our stay: her colleagues too were efficient and hard working, making our evening and breakfast meals pleasurable. The chef has put together an imaginative and well priced menu, with high quality ingredients and skilled preparation. The dining room decor and furniture make for a comfortable environment and the background music is thankfully quiet and non intrusive - just right! Our bedroom and bathroom were comfortable and nicely appointed, with good quality shower products, and it was nice to have refills of teas, coffees etc. left outside the room for our second night. Nothing was too much trouble at The Nags Head, and for our visiting local guests a taxi was arranged for after our evening meal, a birthday celebration, for which the staff kindly organised a birthday banner at the table, along with a decorated dessert. If I could make a small suggestion, it would be to add Muesli and fresh fruit to the breakfast cereal option, but don't alter the Full Welsh Breakfast - it is perfect!

Myself and my partner went tonight and oh my god, hands down the BEST meal we have had in a very long time. The pub its self is so beautiful and romantic very oldy worldly and candle lit, with the food having a modern twist. The staff were very attentive and polite, nothing was to much trouble. We will definitely return when we visit Wales again. Highlight of the evening was a Rose given to me by my partner who requested one from the lovely lady behind the bar. Much love Annise and Jordan

We stayed here for a night to go to a friends surprise 70th birthday party that was being held at the pub and everything was perfect - the room we stayed in and the delicious breakfast as well as the rooms we had for the party and the absolutely fabulous meal. Faultless. I would thoroughly recommend a trip to the Nags Head - either for a stay or to just have a scrumptious meal. Thank you to everyone there for all that you did for us.
