We stayed at the “Campanile” hotel in Caldas de Rainha for three nights during October. It was a pleasant stay, in a modern hotel with easy access to main roads, a supermarket near-by, free parking and a room with all amenities. As is the custom lately there is only soap no shampoo, so bring some. The location is in a convenient spot for day trips to close destinations, like the Obidos Castle, the Nazere lighthouse, the Fatima shrine or the Buddha Garden of Eden; all these are within an hour drive. There was a misunderstanding between ******* and the hotel regarding the cost of breakfast. We had seen “included” when booking, but the hotel asked for pay; ******* promised to reimburse us for the cost (6 Euro/day/person). We would recommend this hotel for its location, amenities and low cost.

Este hotel satisface todas mis expectativas para el antiguo hotel europeo: no hay que decir casas, edificios históricos, muebles, cualquiera de ellos, el siglo XVIII, objetos decorativos muy antiguos y atractivos para gente que me siento muy nostalgica. La ceremonia de desayuno es llena, la calidad de la comida es fresca y deliciosa, muy satisfactoria, el personal es elegante y amable y atento. El entorno del hotel no tiene que decirlo, es hermoso y delicioso. La piscina nos trae mucha felicidad y alegría. Por supuesto, este antiguo hotel no es grande porque la habitación no es suficiente para una semana o una semana. Me colocaram no quarto diferente do contratado (reservei um quarto superior com varanda e fui colocado num quarto SEM varanda, 20 euros mais barato). Achei incorreto tal atitude. O hotel é bom. Pequeno almoço excelente.

El estacionamiento del hotel es muy pequeño (solo 7-8 lugares de estacionamiento en el borde de la carretera, coordenadas 39.363078, -9.156986), el estacionamiento es difícil. Antes de la llegada de la marea de Obidus de la madrugada y la retirada de la multitud de la tarde, la luz es suave, silenciosa y llena del sabor original de la ciudad antigua, que es digna de barrer la calle. El centro de la ciudad no es grande, solo hay tres calles principales en dirección norte-sur, y se tarda solo entre 1 y 1,5 horas en recorrerlo.
