El Alda Hotel tenía grandes comentarios en línea, por lo que lo recogimos. Vivía hasta cada uno de ellos. Antes de salir de casa, habíamos cancelado un viaje de grupo pequeño en South Shore 10-hour debido a una horrible previsión meteorológica. El hotel nos prestó un convertidor cuando encontré que no podía entrar en las salidas de la habitación. El hotel dispone de un buffet de desayuno con el precio habitual, además de algunas especialidades como el zumo de manzana, la remolacha, el ginger y la limonada (tarta y jugo). The staff, accommodations, and location at the Reykjavik Residence Hotel were exceptional! We traveled with 3 families from the USA to Iceland with our elderly parents as part of our dad's 80th birthday bucket list. We corresponded with the hotel staff via email before our trip and they were very prompt and helpful in answering questions. You never know when you're emailing a hotel operation if you'll even get a reply. Imagine our delight when they replied quickly and were extremely helpful, even with offering restaurant suggestions or to call taxis for us. We organized the airport pickup car service which made our arrival very easy. With 6 people and lots of luggage, the car size was adequate and driver very professional. The driver took us to the hotel reception desk. We'd taken a red-eye flight and the hotel staff greeted us with a very warm welcome. They offered us coffee, a place to sit, and use of bathrooms. The reception area was comfortable and the bathroom even had a full-size luxurious tiled shower if needed (definitely not a truck stop shower here!). Our rooms weren't ready so they stored our luggage at no charge and were very accommodating when we needed to retrieve items. Upon check-in, they called a taxi to transport us and our luggage and to the building. It was only a few minutes walk, but this was very thoughtful considering it was a cold and windy winter day. Our building was newly renovated and was very clean and fresh. We had rooms on the basement level, the main level, and the top floor. Each room was spacious, had a large kitchen, and clean and comfortable bathrooms. The basement room had a full-size sliding door that walked outside. The top room had a mini balcony that overlooked the harbor. We'd read some reviews about a sulphur smell in the bathrooms or the water supply. We didn't experience this at all. In fact, we routinely filled our water bottles with the tap water in the rooms and it was perfect to drink. They performed daily housekeeping service automatically and we left laundry one day which was returned within 24 hours with no problems. Definitely take the breakfast option. The bread is baked fresh, filled with air pockets and crusty outside. Hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt (skyr), meats, and cheese. This was a great way to start the day. Coffee was included in the room and the kitchens also had mini-fridges which included a supply of milk and apple juice. The beds were very comfortable and rooms were well-heated. Wi-fi was fast and included. We spent one week at the hotel and highly recommend staying here. It was the size and layout of an apartment, with the amenities and service of a 5-star hotel. Things to watch out for: If you're traveling with others, try to arrange to be in the same building. The buildings are definitely spread out and are a far distance from the reception area. We were initially allocated 331 which was in another block and had twin beds, so we swapped to room 301 which was double and we weren't disappointed. It was a clean and spacious, comfy bed .Great to have a ettle, fridge and coffee machine :-) Large walk in shower with constant hot water. Large wardrobe, plenty of storage. We had a 2nd door onto a corridor to other rooms, there was windows in this wall but by opening curtains people on corridor could look in. Only downside no natural light. Relatives across corridor in room 305 had full wall of windows for day light. Breakfast was good choice and plentiful. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Located with walking access to everything. Would stay here again and recommend

酒店有兩個門，一個正門，一個後門用於各種預訂活動的接送（在預訂極光或出海等活動時，最好和旅行社確認一下地址，攜程上面的地址是sigtun28，但是接送是在sigtun38，應該就是後門地址）我們第一天晚上的極光，就一直等在正門，打了電話給旅行社，才知道司機一直等在後門，跑到後門去，司機又已經開到前門來了…折騰了一下… 酒店有很大的免費露天停車場，對自駕出行很友好，不用費腦子去找停車場。離大教堂等景點大概5-8分鐘車程，步行就要15分鐘左右，在大冬天裏就不怎麼友好了。 早餐中規中矩，符合冰島當地一般水準（和之後住的希爾頓差不多）有自己動手現榨的橙汁，挺好喝的（可能是因為是自己榨的吧…） 酒店餐廳掛了很多獎牌，應該在當地是一家出色的餐廳吧。但是由於時間上的安排，沒能去吃一餐，現在還是比較遺憾的，如果有時間的話，可以嘗試下。 房間大小能接受，床品也相對舒適（可能因為時差和太累了吧，睡得好得不得了）衞生間有浴缸和淋浴房。暖氣是裝在窗台下的暖氣片，拉上窗簾的話，效果就不太好了。對了，這個酒店有一次性拖鞋，就直接放在房間抽屜，這在歐洲比較少見。

Encontrarte un spanish team, tan agradable y dispuesto a ayudar en cualquier momento, estando tan lejos de casa no tiene precio!! La habitación súper cómoda y silenciosa, el desayuno bastante variado. Buena conexión con transporte público. La estancia fué inmejorable. Gracias Emmanuel.

La habitación es muy pequeña, pero muy adecuada, no esperaba pasar mucho tiempo en la habitación, excepto dormir. (La cama era excelente.) La zona de la lobby es un gran lugar para reunir y/o conocer a las nuevas personas. El hotel está muy bien, pero no hay variedad, y me quedaría de nuevo, en gran medida debido al horrible personal (Lenny, Bianka, Katya).

Muy bueno jefe, cuando lleguemos, servimos personalmente, sabemos que vivimos una noche más, nos actualizamos gratis, la habitación es nueva y nos envía personalmente a la habitación, la actitud del servicio es absolutamente buena.

We did not expect at all this charming hotel when booking for a night midway between Reykjavik and the airport. The patrons have gone a long way to decorate with taste and fun the hotel as a fisherman village. The rooms are practical and very clean. The surroundings are very calm and enchanting , the hotel is surrounded by the sea and offers beautiful views on Reykjavik, the far away mountains and volcanoes. It is also very convenient to be the base camp to visit Reykjavik area (Blue Lagoon, Viking museum..). One area to improve is the quality of internet…but no one is in Iceland to surf! Last cherry on the cake:the hot tubs on the roof!,
