Alba Guesthouse

The hosts of Alba guest house were very helpful and kind. The guesthouse is clean, comfortable and warm and provides a fabulous breakfast. It is in walking distance of connecting bus routes and down town Reykjavik. There is space to park your hire car.

Alba Guesthouse was a great choice for our visit! It was clean, comfortable, affordable, and offered a great breakfast every morning which was very cost saving for our trip. The hostess made fresh bread every morning that was delicious. The beds were comfortable and warm, and it was quiet at night and easy to sleep. The hostess was extremely helpful and caring, even giving my husband a dry pair of boots for the day after his boots got soaked on a glacier hike. It was obvious that she was passionate about her work and wanted everyone to have a quality experience. She even alerted us to a volcanic eruption that happened so that we could walk up the hill and view it from the Perlan Museum. We were all safe, and it was a once in a lifetime experience we would have otherwise missed. It was conveniently located within 4 minute walk to Bus Hostel Terminal where Airport Direct Buses and Bus Tours Iceland operates. It was also only a 20 minute walk to the church in the heart of downtown. You can’t find a better place than this! I highly recommend Alba Guesthouse!

Very pleasant stay. The place is homely and clean and the experience is nice. My room was clean and breakfast was allways ready and plenty of food. The house is quiet and the host are quiet too. It is near to the bus terminal, which is convenient.

Very good location, very nice host. The breakfasts were good. Parking for guests. In the room you could hear what was happening in the corridor, you could refresh the bathroom for guests. There is a fridge for guests in the facility.

The owner is very kind, he helped us with late check-in, and the house was clean and organized. It was a great experience, definetely recommended and hope to get back soon! We even saw the aurora from the front garden of the house, very easy to locate, specially if you are taking the flybus from the airport, or if you are going on a tour.

The owners are very kind. Is near to downtown so is possible go by walk to there but also is near to bus stop and Reykjavik bus station. Breakfast with the necessary to have a good meal and it has free coffee and tea all day, including a refrigerator to use it although you don't have access to kitchen.

The hosts are very kind, polite and ready to guide and help, if it is necessary. They are always somewhere near because they live there as well. Unfortunately, our room was quite moist, sometimes cold and the bed was inconvenient. Anyway, thank you for breakfast and WiFi, which was included in the price.
