良かった点：客室は広く眺めも良かった。食事は、味付けの好みはあろうが、マレーシアで長年暮らしている私にとってもベストに近いと感じる品質のローカルフードが楽しめた。ホテルスタッフも一生懸命サービスしようとしている感じが伝わってきて、好印象。ホテルの前の海も透明度が良く、散在する岩場ではシュノーケリングでたくさんの魚をまあまあクリアに見ることができた（掲示した魚の写真はホテル前の海で撮ったもの）。貸出用のシュノーケリングゴーグルには、少しレンタル料は高いが度付きのものもあり、近眼の者への配慮があった。 好みによる点：賑やかな感じが好きなら良い選択肢になるホテルだ。静かな大人のリゾートを期待しているなら、他を探した方が良い。客室の壁や天井は十分に厚くはなく、隣室の客のいびきが聞こえてくるレベル（三ツ星ホテルであることを思い出す必要がある）。また巨大なホテルなので、マレーシア国内で集められたパックツアーと思しき団体客が次々に送り込まれてきて、騒がしい。フロントで受付を担当しているスタッフの対応は良いが、キャンプ場の受付かなにかのような感じ。客室のバルコニーは素敵で眺めも良いが、どこからともなく漂ってくるたばこの匂いが気になり長居できなかった。さらにマレーシア流のリゾートサービスなのかもしれないが、夜は23時過ぎまで大音量のイベントが開催され、非常ににぎやかだ。レストランは席をかなり詰めて配置していて、食べている最中も他の客や従業員が椅子にぶつかって通過していく。ブッフェで食べ物を取る際も、他の客が横入りしたり、ゴツゴツとぶつかってきたり、などのマナーが目立つ。 その他：シュノーケリングのツアーで連れていかれるのは午前中がマリンパーク、午後がそのすぐ横の海上で、いずれもあまり広くはない。そこにかなりの数の参加者が居るので何度も他の客にぶつかられた。水の透明度はまあまあで、サンゴを見ることができる点がホテル前の海との違い。本格的なシュノーケリングを楽しみたいなら他のツアーを探した方が良さそうだ。

Redang Island Resort fue uno de los primeros en Redang y tiene una gran vista sobre la colina que contempla el puerto principal / puerto. Aunque no directamente en la playa, ofrece viajes de la mañana (10am a 1) y una transferencia de noche a la playa larga para las opciones de cena (6-10pm), ambos de los cuales deben ser tomadas, ya que el espectáculo de Redang es su vibe de la playa y de la snorkel. La cena en RIR no era grande con un pez y chips sin cocinar (también faltaba el limone que se notó en el menú porque no había ningún stock), mientras que el hamburguesa de carne no era grande. El mantenimiento es claramente un problema en curso con la habitación que tiene problemas con su agua caliente y ducha mientras que la piscina no era apropiada para nadar (a pesar de la serpiente que vimos ambas mañanas por los salónes!). En el lado más positivo, las transferencias fueron bien gestionadas mientras que el personal estaba dispuesto a ayudar, aunque condicionado por lo que podrían hacer en realidad Las habitaciones en el lado del mar son significativamente mejor que el lado del bosque dadas vistas y luz. La calificación es una media generosa (3 estrellas) pero merece mejor que la pobre (2 estrellas)

Tuve una agradable estancia de una noche aquí. El personal fue muy servicial y me ayudó a explicar cómo llegar a la isla desde Marina Duyong y también pude comprar mi boleto de regreso en la recepción, lo cual fue útil. Además, me permitieron pagar todas las comidas mediante transferencia en línea, lo cual agradecí ya que no había traído efectivo. El viaje desde y hacia el resort hasta el embarcadero estaba disponible por RM20 extra. La comida era buena: tenía huevos revueltos, panqueques, arroz frito chino y nasi goreng ayam. La habitación tenía todo lo que necesitaba y estaba limpia. Había una playa pública a unos 10-15 minutos a pie del complejo y era muy tranquila pero impresionante. Tuve un poco de mala suerte con el clima ya que llovió más o menos todo el tiempo que estuve allí excepto en la mañana que me fui donde logré tomar algunas fotos.

”Sari Pacifica” a brand that USED TO instill so much confidence and standard in the past, has now succeeded TREMENDOUSLY into throwing my expectations into the mud. My 4 days 3 nights stay with my friends and family during the end of March 2022 has made us questioned, whether this is truly the ”Sari Pacifica” we used to know, or did we accidentally checked into a BOGUS hotel in Redang? Mind you, we stayed at the apparently the best option it has to offer, the SEA VIEW Villa. The only FACTOR that allows this ”resort” to have a 2-star rating from me is PURELY AND ONLY because of the friendliness of their staff members, who despite limited in their capacity, tried their best to help us in overcoming the shortcomings of the ”resort”. Upon arrival at Pulau Redang, while other hotel operators have provided staffs to wait and help their guests to carry their baggage into the truck, we were standing BLUR on where we should be going for a while. The 1 and ONLY 1 staff who was waiting for the 20 of us, was only able to help us carry 1 or MAXIMUM 2 rounds of our baggage with his 2 hands. We could only watch with ENVY, the guests of other hotel operators, as me and my wife carried our 1 year old girl under the hot island weather, for no less than 30 minutes, while the staff sent the first 10 of my friends to the resort and then came back for the rest of us. If the definition of a Villa is that of its size. Then KUDOS to ”Sari Pacifica” for indeed, the Sea View Villa is huge in its size. But my friends and family as Guests... did not appreciate such a BIG, yet Sandy floor, stained blankets and bed sheets. The en-suite toilet is HUGE with a bathtub that we did not dare to use. I agree though, the view from the Villa is as good as it gets in Pulau Redang. The aircond in my first villa was not working well, and I managed to shift to another room the next night. The food, while I truly did not expect much, having stayed in Redang a few times over a few different resorts, and YET it fell far below my ALREADY low expectation. The first night, we were served grilled BBQ without lights and fans at our tables. Can you imagine? After feedback, the next day onward we were given permanent table position under a WORKING CEILING Fan. There were only 2 or 3 in the entire eating area. You have to feel bad for people who were not so fortunate. A special credit for the F&B manager who tried to make up as best as he could to us, and prepared a steamboat dinner for us on the last night. Overall: Staff: 5 Stars Cleanliness: 2 Stars Value: 0 Star. We paid RM1200 per person for 4 days 3 nights for those staying at Sea View Villa. You can judge for yourself if based on what we have experienced the good and the bad, whether it was value for money. Recommendation: Food: Pelangi resort has good western food in my opinion. Cleanliness: Coral Redang, Pelangi Resort, Redang Beach, Laguna Redang. Value: Anywhere but Sari Pacifica Redang

Quiero darle alguna información sobre la villa del jardín y la villa del océano, la villa del jardín es mejor que la villa del océano, tiene un jardín privado, es un poco lejos del lobby para más privacidad y paz, pero la villa de océano está cerca del restaurante y no es privada, la residencia de jardines villa debería pasar por las villas de océano para llegar a su habitación y no es ni siquiera la playa delante, no tiene jardín privado para que los huéspedes no pudieran abrir las cortinas y utilizar la vista 🫣it debería be half price of garden villa but it’s more expensive 😑 El baño y el baño no tienen puerta, sino que tienen vistas al jardín. Reservamos la suite premium con vistas al mar en Coral View Resort para nuestras vacaciones familiares y tuvimos una de las estancias más agradables y memorables allí. Somos una familia de 3 adultos y 3 niños, por lo que la seguridad y la comodidad son nuestra máxima prioridad. La caminata desde el embarcadero está bastante lejos, y si lleva equipaje pesado, esto será un gran desafío ya que no había una pasarela pavimentada o un camino dedicado aparte de la propia playa de arena. Por suerte decidimos dejar el equipaje y viajar con mochilas. El personal del complejo fue amable y servicial, una vez que recibimos nuestras llaves, el personal llevó todas nuestras mochilas a la habitación. La habitación era excelente y cómoda para nosotros, especialmente para nuestros niños, a quienes les encantó la piscina cubierta y el columpio de madera. Las únicas quejas que tuvimos fueron que los interruptores de luz eran abundantes y sería bueno si hubiera etiquetas. La comida durante la cena fue excelente ya que teníamos marisco fresco. Sin embargo, el desayuno fue decepcionante y terminamos yendo al complejo cercano, The Barat and Mama Chalet, para comer. Había muchas tiendas y podías abastecerte de agua mineral y bocadillos para frenar el hambre. Enjoying a beachfront location, the luxurious Redang Resort provides a tranquil holiday getaway, just steps from spectacular diving spots and white sandy beaches. It offers a dive centre and free Wi-Fi access in its public areas.The elegant rooms are all air conditioned and equipped with a safe, and an en suite bathroom. Some rooms have private balconies and views of the ocean.It takes 20 minutes by speedboat to the marine park and a 20-minute drive from the jetty to Sultan Mahmud Airport.Guests can laze on the lounge chairs located on the beach or find souvenirs at the resort’s gift shop. For meals, Redang Beach Resort’s restaurant provides local delights, cakes and coffee. Alternatively, there is a convenience store on-site.

When I arrived at Alunan, I was expecting the standard getaway, an escape from the city to refresh myself temporarily. But as soon as I arrived at the resort (via boat) I noticed something very special about this place. Beyond the breathtaking views and crystal clear skies and ocean, there was a lot of genuine care and connection from the resort team. The delightful guest service assistant, Sel, was waiting at the pontoon to greet new arrivals. She accompanied us to reception while showing us around the resort. After checking in, another guest service assistant, Teha, brought me to my stunning ocean-view room (floor-to-ceiling windows all around, a sizeable bathroom, and a rooftop deck) while explaining the unique character of this resort along the way. In order to preserve the island's ecosytem, no heavy machinery was used in the construction of the resort. There were no single-use plastics to be found, all body care items were natural and reef safe, and complementary jars of snacks were refillable. This has given the resort a very unique character: sturdy metal staircases and platforms connected various parts of the establishment, which rest at different altitudes on the landscape. There was even a tree growing out of the middle of the restaurant, protected by resort owners who seemed to have great respect for the island's primary forest and surrounding seas. Furthermore, the resort is passionate about the reef ecosystem surrounding Perhentian, and boasts a Coral Conservation initiative which allows guests to ”adopt” corals. With a small fee, one could learn about corals from resident marine biologists and place rescued corals in the coral nursery. Here, I met Aimi, who answered my questions about coral behaviour (I didn't know corals were animals rather than plants, or that they bred in rather strange ways). Upon adopting a coral, I got to jump into the ocean to snorkel around the coral nursery, which was teeming with fish species. It was surreal. There was also a dive centre, where another marine biologist, Naufal, assisted guests with necessary equipment to explore the seas. Lifejackets and snorkelling equipment were available to utilise at no cost, which led me to develop a daily swimming and snorkelling routine after settling in at the resort. Mind you, there's quite a fair bit to see in the ocean ecosystem in Perhentian. Batfish, wrasses, groupers, blue-lipped clams, corals and many other fishes can be found all around the island, clearly visible as the waters were clear like glass during my stay there. Those who can't swim could just visit the pontoon to look at the various colourful fishes of the Perhentian seas. There are no cars or roads, but one can hike or kayak their way around this stunning island. I went to Keranji beach via kayak and saw stunning, decades-old underwater coral from my kayak, and was often close to tears from the natural beauty of this island.
