Eala My Lakeside Dream is a resort and spa located north of Lake Garda and five minutes drive from the town of Lamone. My wife and I chose to stay at the Eala Resort and Spa for a five-night stay to celebrate our honeymoon. Overall, our stay at Eala Lake Garda Resort and Spa was good, let down by an unfortunate incident at the end. We liked the friendly staff, the spa and facilities and the decor of rooms and hotel. But we would have liked to see complimentary filtered water per night, more variety at the breakfast buffet, reliable Wi-Fi and the ability to iron our clothes without a fee. Spa and Facilities The hotel features a spa with an indoor pool, a relaxation room, two saunas, a steam room, an ice room and a whirlpool. The spa is one of the best we have experienced, is on par with the London Corinthia Hotel, but has the added benefit of a spectacular view of Lake Garda. During our stay, we opted for the fifty-minute couples massage. Our therapists and the treatment were excellent. Rooms and ammendaties The rooms are spacious and feature a modern design. All of the rooms come standard with a balcony and view of the lake, regardless of room type. We stayed in a deluxe room, which included a queen-sized bed, a separate bath and shower, and a Juliet sink. The included shower gels and soaps are the same products provided in the spa. They are easy on sensitive skin and feature a relaxing aroma. They’re some of the best products I've experienced in a hotel. Water is complimentary on the first day but will come at a fee for subsequent days. We got charged 16 euros at checkout for filtered water, which came as a surprise. There is no iron in the room and the hotel does not provide them. However, the hotel provides an ironing service, at a fee of between three - fifteen euros. To iron your T-shirt will cost you five euros. The lighting controls were not intuitive to use. It was difficult to identify what switch controlled what light. The washrooms in the hotel operate on sensors, which shut off whilst you are using them, so make sure you wave your arms around whilst doing your business. Food and service To start, you don't sign for anything in this hotel, so the only time you see a bill, except for spa services, is at the end of your stay. Instead, staff take your room number and then you order what you want. We felt that this was good and bad. There is nothing more annoying than staff members taking payment from other guests whilst you are trying to relax by the pool. However, sometimes mistakes can happen and to avoid nasty surprises at checkout, it's good to keep tabs on what you've been charged for. The resort features three restaurants, which include a lounge bar and grill. We ate at the poolside and breakfast area. The breakfast was good and offered a good selection of cereals, pastries and cold meats. However, it lacked variety and on the third day of our five-night stay, we became bored with the choices. Our family had a most exceptional experience at this stunning hotel on Lake Garda. My daughter and I actually had a very nice stay at Lake Garda from 11-14 August at the Hotel Villa del Sogno. Everything in the hotel is excellent. The location, the service, the extremely friendly staff. However, I am only talking about actually because our stay there was negatively affected to the maximum by the laundry service and the subsequent drama! Unfortunately, I made the mistake of taking a newly purchased high-quality (＞ EUR 1,100 plus tailoring costs) light blue-coloured linen suit to the dry cleaners there and not checking the suit immediately after cleaning but simply packing it up and taking it home with me. The next time I tried it on after my holiday, I had a rude awakening: the suit had been washed too hot and was therefore ”destroyed” in terms of colour and size so that much smaller people could now wear it. The ongoing correspondence and clarification as to whether the hotel's own laundry or an external laundry was responsible for this has still not achieved a satisfactory result. Repeated reminders remained unanswered. Actually a very unpleasant development and experience with a hotel that actually has everything to make an unforgettable holiday on Lake Garda possible. Let's see when someone at the hotel gets their act together and takes responsibility and compensates for the damage.

Tenía un cuarto con vistas al río. El cuarto y el baño me encontré relativamente viejo. El aire acondicionado tampoco tenía mucha capacidad para hacer frente al calor. Todo el edificio actuó dentro como una máquina de tiempo en los años 30. Pero: Todo el personal del hotel era muy amable y útil. Fue una gran clase.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel as the service from everyone, including the manager, was amazing. The customer service training was clearly embedded, even the cleaning staff said good morning. The outdoor pool area along with the views of the lake were fantastic. There was a lovely promenade walk at the back of the hotel by the lake, The food at breakfast was outstanding and the bar service was excellent too. A nice touch carrying our drinks to the room of an evening. Drinks costs more here than the local resturants Points to note: The hotel is a 50 min walk from the main town Desenzano. There is a clear path to follow The ferry timetables change in the winter and we didnt get to the north of the lake because of the time it would take on the ferry. The hotel offered one free shuttle bus service to town thereafter its 25 euros Download the Arriva bus time table, the buses are 95% reliable. Bus stops are outside the hotel and are only about 4 euros. Will need cash With hindsight we should of travelled around more and stayed in the nearby cities. From Desenzano station, Verona 30 mins, Venice 90 min, Milan 60 mins. Great Pizza place next to the hotel - Il Lido A n excellent location to see some of the best sights of Italy .

Si inizia non bene con un addetto alla sbarra del parcheggio che ti invoglierebbe ad andare da un altra parte tanto sprizza simpatia da tutti i pori. Poi per fortuna reception eccellente (un grazie a Deep). Un piccolo problema di armadietto gestito benissimo. Poi iniziano le varie sale, saune, cascate,bagni turchi, piscine di tutti i tipi sia interne sia esterne con vigorosi idromassaggi. Spettacolare la piscina in cui vengono proiettati su un gigantesco monitor a 180 gradi alcuni filmati con musica ed effetti di pioggia vento e nebbia. Pranzo a buffet sufficiente in una bella corte o in sale interne. Pomeriggio si riprendono le varie attività sino all”aperitivo (compreso nel prezzo di ingresso). Servite in piccoli contenitori di vetro ci sono cose di un livello che definire basso è poco, nonostante il prezzo sia di circa 100 euro a persona al giorno. Questo aperitivo è davvero pessimo e certo non in linea con quanto farebbe presupporre la bellezza del posto. Una giornata (per fortuna non troppo affollata) di relax che basterebbe poco a rendere migliore.
