Didn’t feel like much of a spa. Hot tub was out of order and spa showers smelt bad and area felt dirty. Food took over 1.5 hour to arrive after ordering and wine after food. Food was very average, small portions of dry meat and cost £20 for a this. Staff were polite and apologised for the delay. Felt that the wine should have been taken off the bill as I’d mostly finished my food by the time it arrived. Prepare your expectations and don’t get excited about the “spa”.

Lovely old Hall and beautiful surroundings. Building is old so can be bit dated when look closely but that's what u expect.
Drinks and food overpriced though.
Superior room was ok bit small though not a lot of space in the room tbh.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was great with a lovely view over the lake. It was very quiet and the room was lovely and warm with a very comfortable bed. Everything was clean and apart from a hairdryer in the room all was fine. Perhaps a hairdryer could be obtained via reception, did not need it for the time we stayed.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel...
for my husbands birthday , from start to finish, they couldn't do enough for us the reception staff were so lovely and friendly and so helpful...
The spar was so relaxing with a fantastic coffee machine 😅
The food and restaurant was incredible the highest of standards ,
The bar man couldn't do enough for us and was so helpful and very good at his customer services, he had dark spiky hair not tall... black shirt and trousers... he needs a pay rise 👏😅
everyone was so polite and friendly,
I find many places do not have the level of customer service like these guys do... thank you for making our stay amazing...
We will definitely be back 👏😀

A tired hotel in need of some TLC. Reception desks needed smartening up and gave a sad initial impression of the inside of the hotel. Not all of the outside lights worked and we missed the signs for reception. We stayed in the School Master's House which was noisey. We could hear others showering and our floor squeeked so we felt sorry for those below us. The room was was of a decent size and bed was comfortable. Shower pulsed. Breakfast was adequate and expensive for what it was. Spa was fine.
The outside of the house is lovely as are the grounds. This could be a stunning hotel.

Our room was in the stable block. The room was very spacious however, it sp****ly furnished and looked very odd. Lighting was insufficient for the size of the room. The shower had a sliding door which only opened up approx one foot wide making it very difficult to enter and exit the shower. Very strange. Breakfast was distinctly average and the chairs in the breakfast room very very uncomfortable to sit on. We didn’t use the spa facilities during our stay.

Hotel needs updating. Spa area was nice but dated. Food was poor. Breakfast was crazy and limited choice. A bit gutted as was really looking forward to a much needed break after the death father

One of the biggest things we noticed was how happy and friendly all of the staff were… the house keepers, bar staff, waiting on staff and front of house staff making the experience of staying in the hotel very enjoyable.
