El hotel está muy bien situado, con acceso directo a Praia de Rocha pero definitivamente ya no es un 5 estrellas... Más como un 4 estrellas. El primer día nos hicieron esperar 1 hora y media (hasta las 15.30...) para dejarnos entrar a la habitación, pero el cobro de toda la estancia se realizó por adelantado a las 14.00 sin falta. Las habitaciones son amplias y la cama es king size y muy cómoda, pero están ya algo anticuadas. Especialmente el baño... El personal es amable. En las áreas comunes no hay aire acondicionado, que hace dura el llevar la mascarilla... El parking está en un parking en un edificio antiguo a 200 metros del hotel, y en agosto costaba encontrar un espacio libre... En general tuvimos una buena estancia, pero la relación calidad precio del hotel es bastante pobre.

El hotel está situado cerca del río donde están los bares y restaurantes. De la playa está un poco alejado, habría que ir en coche. No tiene parking propio, cerca hay un par de parkings de pago y en la calle se puede aparcar pagando también, a nosotros no nos costó encontrar aparcamiento en la calle. El hotel se ve que ha sido reformado recientemente por dentro. La habitación es amplia, estuvimos en una cuádruple que consistía en dos habitaciones unidas con dos camas individuales en cada una, en una de las habitaciones estaba el cuarto de baño y la televisión y en el otro el aire acondicionado y el armario. Ambas con ventanales a patios interiores. No hay nevera. Las camas son cómodas, pero las almohadas son tipo cojín. En el cuarto de baño hay gel y toallas, pero no secador de pelo. El checkin se realiza en el hotel que hay en frente que se llama made inn. Teníamos desayuno incluido que con el tema del coronavirus no puede ser buffet, si no que el día antes en recepción del hotel made inn, te dan un papel con las opciones del desayuno que hay y al día siguiente hay que ir a recogerlo a la recepción del otro hotel a la hora que pongas. Las opciones son un bocadillo salado, otro dulce, fruta, yogur, zumos, café y un dulce. Se puede coger todo y estaba bueno. El personal de recepción amable y simpático, hablan español bien. Recomendaría este hotel.

We spent ages choosing this Portimao guest house, but our expectations of it were not met. It's an odd concept, offering a room in an unstaffed house, that doesn't offer breakfast but also doesn't offer any catering facilities?? We booked a ”Superior Triple room with balcony & city view”. What we actually got was a clean, well-decorated double-bed room, sp****ly furnished with one chair, no table to sit at. The balcony was a tiny Juliet balcony overlooking a narrow street & the house opposite- not big enough to stand on, let alone sit on, but then, the ”city view” was actually a large canvas/photo of old Portimao city,over the bed, not a view of Portimao. Sadly, the advertised roof terrace wasn't offered to us during our stay. That might have saved the day. The house itself is a beautifully restored old Portugese house in a narrow cobbled street, which unfortunately was used as a rat-run by traffic, till the early hours.The house was very clean & well decorated, but without any creature comforts. We'd spent the previous few nights in a comfy hotel in Faro , with a marina view & delicious breakfast, so ND Prestige was a stark contrast. It would be fine for one night, but not for several. The owner met us on arrival, gave us a long run-down of their Covid protocols , then left. We let ourselves out on check-out. (The housekeeper was lovely, we crossed paths briefly a few times, as she let herself in). In short, the accommodation websites (hotels.com in this instance) need to ensure their descriptions of properties meet the reality.

We rented a 2 bedroom condo which was extremely comfortable. They gave us a unit on the main floor with a front yard which included a couple of lemon trees. They cleaned our condo daily although that we were told that they would do it every five days. They also provided clean bed sheets and towels. We will definitely come back when we are back in Portugal.

L'établissement Villa Rio Guest House Suites à Portimao propose quelques chambres très très spacieuses, décorées avec beaucoup de soin et de raffinement. Les espaces communs sont aussi très agréables, lumineux. Le petit-déjeuner servi chaque matin est copieux et varié, avec beaucoup de fruits frais ! L'accueil est super plaisant et on se sent vraiment bien dans ce lieu. Seul bémol, le ménage peut être un peu amélioré, notamment pour les cheveux au sol. Les salles de bain ont besoin d'être mieux aérées pour éviter trop de moisissure, notamment au plafond. L'établissement est hyper bien situé dans Portimao, tout est à proximité.
