UUsuario invitadoThe hotel is situated in a very central area about 15 minutes' walk to the Gandantegchinlen Monastery or to Seoul Street. It is also adjacent to several malls where you can get access to cafes, convenience stores and restaurants all day long. It is a busy location in the city so it is a good starting point for exploring the city of Ulaanbaatar.
The amenities provided were sufficient for a comfortable stay and the room is very compact but spacious enough for two. The bathroom was clean but housekeeping could be improved. The hot water system was not very stable - sometimes being very cold or too warm, but it did not affect our stay too much as it worked fine most of the time.
The beds were comfortable and we had a good night's sleep after a long day exploring the city. Soundproofing was generally good and we did not have any issues with noise being placed in a room at the end of the corridor away from lifts.
All in all we would definitely recommend this hotel for all travelers.

LlilsheepAurora Hotel is a relatively new hotel in Ulaanbaatar, located along Peace Avenue in the western part of UB City. It is about 15mins walk to an Emart and it is also pretty easy to book a taxi/cab using UBcab mobile app to get around as visitors.
I highly recommend Aurora Hotel for short visits to Ulaanbaatar, despite it's non-central location. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a decent variety and quality. Khulan Restaurant on the 2nd floor also serves good Mongolian cuisine.
The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were served breakfast in our room during the Tsagaan Sar festival and it was a generous portion.
Unfortunately during our visit, the gym and sauna were closed and we weren't able to use them.

DDAnsteyLa habitación era muy buena, pero no tenía ni limpiadores ni humedales, lo que hizo que el aire fuera muy seco. Tanto mi niño como yo experimentamos constantemente estatica en nuestros cabellos durante toda nuestra estancia. También sufrimos congestión nasal seca, incluyendo trastornos sanguíneos en el mucoso. Otro factor que podría haber contribuido a la sequía fue el carpetamiento. Los tapices no parecían limpios, ya que la nieve y la muelle de invierno habían dejado huellas visibles.

UUsuario invitadoEl alojamiento está cerca de la estación de tren, pero no está tan cerca del centro de la ciudad, la plaza Sukhbaatar, lo cual no supone un problema.
Hay mercados, restaurantes y tiendas de conveniencia cerca, lo que facilita la vida.
El primer día, al llegar, preguntamos por el desayuno, que estaba incluido en la reserva. Nos dijeron que había pan, mantequilla, té y/o café instantáneo, además de deliciosas galletas en la nevera. El desayuno debe ser preparado por el huésped y no está disponible fácilmente. Esta información podría haber estado incluida en la descripción del alojamiento. Solo nos dimos cuenta de que tendríamos que prepararlo nosotros mismos la primera mañana. Normalmente, en los hostales, el desayuno se sirve a los huéspedes y está disponible en una zona designada del alojamiento.
Tuvimos un poco de dificultad para adaptarnos a la cama, que parecía un poco rígida/dura. Estamos acostumbrados a camas más blandas.
En general, nuestra estancia fue buena, tranquila y cómoda. Sin embargo, consideramos que no fue la mejor relación calidad-precio para la ciudad durante nuestra estancia.

The breakfast is also impressive as is the service level. This is a bit on the pricy side for an older building, however, at least in summer.

AAleFragolaWe had a great experience at this hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was big and very comfortable, we really had a good rest. The room has everything you need, such as hangers, place to store your belongings, a fridge and complementary water and tea. We used their laundry service and our clothes were clean and soft.
The service is amazing, they helped us book a taxi to go to the airpor, answered all our questions and always tried to help us.
The location is convenient, you can easily reach by walk the main tourists' spots and restaurants.
Very tasty breakfast, although it's not a huge buffet, I found that there was still quite few options and have healthy options, even for people like us who do not usually have savory breakfast. I loved their overnight porridge and muffins.
If I ever come back to UB I will stay again at this hotel.

The listing says it is a 6 minute drive from Chinggis Khan airport, but it in fact is a 30 minute drive. It is very close to the OLD airport which is not in use anymore. They offer free airport pickup, but we stayed the night before our flight so we did not need pickup, we needed drop off. Even though we didn’t use the free pickup service, we still had to pay $25 USD for airport dropoff. I had emailed the property twice during the week leading up to our stay to ask about drop off service and never got a reply. Also, there is a lack of communication between the staff- When we arrived at the property we had to call 3 times before they finally came to meet us to get our bags, then there was confusion about what room we were supposed to get and we were taken to 3 different rooms before it was the right one. The second one we had already settled in and had a shower before they came and told us it was the wrong room. We didn’t have a car so we walked around the area to find food and there were little to no restaurants, and only a couple of very small markets, so we ended up having to order food from the property restaurant. Every room is different as we discovered from being taken to 3 different rooms. They are verrrry spacious but some are definitely in better condition than others. Fortunately our final room was the best, however there was a kitchen stocked with pots, pans, rice cooker, cook top, plates, but no silverware, no microwave, and no refrigerator. Why would you have a kitchen area and not have a refrigerator and silverware? There also was a washer in unit but no dryer. We didn’t have time to wait for our clothes to air dry during our one night stay so that was also useless.
Overall, it was a cheap stay but you get what you pay for.
