I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is exceptionally clean, with every detail carefully maintained. Hotel en una ubicación conveniente, se puede llegar en autobús 22 desde el aeropuerto. Excelente limpieza, colchón de cama muy cómodo; excelente baño y cabina de ducha excepcional x La sala de desayuno era muy bonita, con mucha variedad de bebidas y buena comida. El único fallo está en el check in y check out:  es muy lento te piden que rellenes un formulario en el que tienes que indicar los datos de tu tarjeta de crédito porque si coges algo del mini bar te cobran lo que gastar;  o tienes que dejar una fianza de 50€ pero al hacer el check out la señora tiene que ir a la habitación y comprobar que has consumido: MUY RETORCIDO. El personal de recepción (había dos hombres y una mujer presentes en tres días) no es amable; sin sonrisa en 3 días; Pedí poder hacer el check out a las 12.45 en lugar de las 12.00 y me dijeron que NO de manera poco amable. Cambiar el personal que te recibe en el hotel no sería mala idea y degradaría un hotel que de otro modo valdría 5//5 en términos de relación precio.

Underwhelming. The general hotel is nice but the rooms are quite modest and the housekeeping service was spotty — no soap in the shower, missed service one day of two. Located across from a nice park but not near the old town. From desk staff were the highlight though — very nice and friendly.

The hotel is well located on the edge of the old town, a few minutes walk from the all old town attractions, excursion pick up points and tourist office. Excellent check in, well appointed room overlooking the river. A higher room would have been preferable, but room facilities excellent. Although accommodation is very reasonably priced, we found the €20 pp charge for use of the spa facilities a little out of kilter. Disappointed and surprised - especially at this time year - that we were not allowed a late checked even at the cost of €15 per hour after 1pm.

Paid extra, service very poor. Arrived to check-in, nobody to serve, no receptionist at the desk. Did wait around 10 minutes, gave a call, no answer, but the receptionist arrived. Then went to their restaurant, very vague service. No cocktails on the meniu (that's what we came for), asked and then the waiter gave separate cocktails menu. Finally came back to room and realised my bed sheet is dirty! Went to reception and asked to change it since we just arrived. Same person from reception came with new duvet and linen, had replace myself, meaning lack of staff if the same person does everything within entire hotel. Breakfast decent, saw people drinking wine, but it wasn't marked as it's included in the breakfast or not and bottle sits aside from all the breakfast on the bar table.

The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was quite clean and newly refurbished however there were too many basic errors and design choices / management choices that are not up to the level of the other 5 star hotels in Riga. The mini bar was ridiculously expensive I mean 2 or 3 times as much as other hotels in the city and they had the nerve to charge me for a drink I don’t consume. They have apologised since and I’m waiting on a refund. The tiny tub if almonds were listed for 14 euros for example. No hooks in the bathroom for clothes, no shower screen on the bath, limited buffet options for breakfast but decent Al a carte options, furniture in room not comfortable, no proper wardrobe, rug in the room but covered by the bed, no teapots or large mugs for tea. My advice is only stay if the rate is about 1/2 of the other 5 star hotels in Riga.

Hanza Hotel was a wonderful choice for my trip to Riga is a very cozy and atmospheric place set in a beautiful historical building. I loved that the Old Town is just a 10-minute walk away, and the hotel's location allows you to experience the authentic charm of Riga without the city's hustle and bustle. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is very attentive, and the truly delicious and varied breakfast was the perfect start to each day. If you are looking for great service, peace, and a convenient location at a reasonable price, this hotel is definitely worth a visit.

Gran potencial, ¡pero su mano izquierda definitivamente no sabe lo que hace la derecha! Mi estancia fue como una comedia de errores donde yo era el blanco de las bromas. Primero, la saga del desayuno: pagué por adelantado al registrarme. Sin embargo, cada mañana, el personal del restaurante me miraba como si fuera un ladrón de desayunos intentando robar un croissant gratis. ”¿Número de habitación? ¿El desayuno está incluido?”. Y ahí estaba yo, una vez más, explicando que había pagado por adelantado como si estuviera contando una historia fascinante pero improbable. Casi esperaba que me pidieran una declaración jurada firmada por el gerente de recepción al tercer día. Luego estaba la sorpresa de la piscina™. El sitio web muestra la piscina, pero convenientemente olvida mencionar que tiene un costo adicional. Al registrarme, pregunté: ”¿Dónde está la piscina?”. Señalaron. Sin embargo, no señalaron y dijeron: ”...y serán 20 dólares, por favor”. Imagínense esto: estoy allí en traje de baño, con la toalla al hombro, listo para un chapuzón. No me recibieron con un ”hola”, sino con una solicitud de mi tarjeta de crédito. Tuve que regresar avergonzado por el vestíbulo, empapado y decepcionado, para pagar en recepción. ¡Un simple aviso nos habría ahorrado a todos ese incómodo momento! El lugar en sí es agradable, pero, sinceramente, parece que los diferentes departamentos solo se comunican por paloma mensajera. Y estoy casi seguro de que una de esas palomas se perdió. Ventajas: La habitación estaba bien (aunque un poco anticuada) y la cama era cómoda. Desventajas: Prepárense para una aventura con cargos misteriosos y para tener que demostrar repetidamente que han pagado por cosas que ya pagaron.

Very friendly and helpful staff, hotel room was clean and comfortable. Decent location, a bit far from all the touristy places and stuff. However, the hotel is situated right next to a tram line which is a big bonus. Only downside is that it lacked the amenities, however it was stated upon booking, so I cannot complain.

The pluses: The room was super clean. The location is easy to get to the airport, bus terminal, downtown. And there is a small restaurant nearby with nice selection on the menu. The stuff is helpful and friendly. The minuses: The room is worn out. It needs a vacation or an upgrade. (But remember, it was still super clean!!!) The kitchen area is just scary. And I am not gonna add more descriptions to that. Nevertheless, I am greaful to have that scary kitchen. I was getting a cold, and it helped a lot to have the ability to boil the water several times for my throat. Will I stay there again? Yes. Because all I needed is a clean place to sleep and take a shower.
