Sanpeiso was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The ryokan beautifully preserves the atmosphere of traditional Japan while offering excellent comfort and hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and took great care of every detail throughout our stay. The room was spacious, spotless, and overlooked a peaceful garden, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The onsen was exceptional — the hot spring water felt wonderful after a day of sightseeing, and the entire bathing area was quiet and beautifully maintained. Both dinner and breakfast were served in traditional Japanese style and were outstanding. Every dish was carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and showcased seasonal ingredients. It felt like a true cultural experience rather than simply a meal. What impressed us most was the authentic character of the ryokan. Unlike many modernized properties, Sanpeiso retains the charm and elegance of a classic Japanese inn. The combination of attentive service, excellent cuisine, serene surroundings, and high-quality hot springs made our stay unforgettable. If you are looking for an authentic ryokan experience in Atami, I highly recommend Sanpeiso. We would gladly return on our next visit to Japan.

The room is large and extremely nice, all the required amenities are there. The view from the room balcony is magnificent, overseeing the beach . The unseen in the room is nice too, the temperature is just right . The free taxi service to and from station is very thoughtful and convenient. this is better than shuttle bus service which some hotels offer. The breakfast options are many with both western, Japanese, and even a bit of chinese.

Muy satisfecha con una estancia, la habitación es muy grande y cómoda. Todo el balcón se dirige al mar y lleva 𠕇 cálido privado. Nuestras cinco personas enteras reservaron tres habitaciones en dos sitios web. El hotel nos contactó con la información sobre el altura de sus huéspedes (configurando las comidas adecuadas) y el hobby de la dieta, especialmente para no comer peces y comidas preparadas. La cena y el desayuno son muy deliciosos y los alimentos frescos. Los menús de dos días de estadía cambian. Los peces tienen arañas, arenques y todos los tipos de pescado y tiburón frescos en la temporada local, y los vacas están muy presentes, ¡para todos los requisitos! La habitación es un moderno estilo de estilo simple y combinado con el tradicional hotel japonés. Existen dos habitaciones japonesas y una de estilo occidental, bastante satisfactorias.  Lounge en el octavo piso, ¡ser un café frío, café caliente y salsa verde, todos los tipos de picnic y frutas japoneses, también puede salir del balcón y descansar, ¡no hay tiendas de salchichas para descansar! El 7o piso tiene un paisaje muy bueno y unas instalaciones completas... ¡Todos los empleados del hotel son muy entusiastas, educadas y muy profesionales! ¡Éste es el hotel más satisfecho de nuestra familia en Japón, con una sensación de 100 puntos, y volverá el año próximo!

Este hotel es una excelente opción por su ubicación, cerca de restaurantes y tiendas de recuerdos. El onsen también es muy bueno y la habitación es bastante grande y limpia. Lo único que nos molestó fue que reservamos otro día a través de diferentes aplicaciones, pero al registrarnos se lo dijimos a la señora y pagamos todos los impuestos al mismo tiempo, aunque tuvimos que hacer el check out y cambiar de habitación. El día que nos cambiaron, el hombre nos volvió a cobrar el impuesto, a pesar de que ya le había explicado y le había pedido que lo revisara. El último día volvimos a preguntar y les mostramos el recibo, así que nos devolvieron el dinero. No es la cantidad, sino el servicio, lo que quiero destacar.

Good for a family trip. It feels like Japanese. There is a barbecue grill and staff can provide charcoal (with additional charge). We bought meat and others to enjoy dinner time. The bath is good. One thing I want to mention is location. It’s hard to find exact place since I followed google map. And when it’s dark, very hard to go to parking lot since the road is very narrow and can see sign. Anyway, recommended to visit.

I suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can. The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se. The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa. We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen.

La ubicación del hotel está en la mitad de la montaña alrededor de la ciudad de Hot Sea. En la habitación se puede atrapar toda la ciudad de Hot Sea y la bahía de Shanghai. La carretera de montaña al hotel es relativamente estrena. Se recomienda llamar un taxi directamente desde la estación de tren cuando tengan una maleta o un mal tiempo, El calor del hotel es un típico calor japonés, no hay problema, pero no hay nada maravilloso. La cena italiana del hotel es muy deliciosa, especialmente el pollo de humo en el menú.

¡El mejor hotel moderno en el que me he alojado! ¡El mobiliario y el espacio son excelentes! Me encantan las herramientas y el proceso para preparar café. El único inconveniente es que el estacionamiento está a poca distancia caminando.

La televisión sólo ofrece canales japoneses, por lo que añadir una televisión inteligente con opciones de streaming sería una buena actualización para los huéspedes internacionales. También nos decepcionó la política de no permitir a los huéspedes con tatuajes utilizar las piscinas municipales, que pueden ser limitativas para algunos viajeros. En general, una estancia muy agradable con grandes instalaciones, comida y una experiencia memorable de lanzamiento.

Very clean and good location. Can view nice hanabi from the guesthouse. Many thanks to the owner good advise on watching the hanabi. Nice onsen as well. Friendly reminder to bring own amenities (including tower).
