«El hotel está bien, pero recuerda que no hay autobús de transbordador cuando llegue la mañana. Debe ir directamente a través de la calle comercial corta. Si no hay cajas grandes, puede considerar caminar hacia abajo y llegar al mar de acuerdo con las instrucciones de navegación. Si el personal se dirige al piso de la plaza del piso superior del hotel y se mueve el ascensor al primer piso, hay más habitaciones en el hotel y puedo permanecer directamente un poco más. Aunque el hotel es un poco de año, construido en los años ochenta, todos los aspectos se guardan perfectamente. El cuarto es muy grande balcón frente al mar y mira el sol y es hermoso. La sopa de sopa tiene dos piscinas, muy amplia y muy cómoda. El desayuno buffet del hotel también es muy bueno, al menos el precio del desayuno es justo. ¡La salida es autoayuda completa, habrá ayuda del personal, recuerda reservar un día antes para enviar el autobús a la estación JR, ¡envía el billete al autobús, es muy conveniente!»

Although a little confusing to locate initially, it is actually quite accessible to the shopping and restaurant areas. We love the spaciousness and layout of the room. «The hotel’s location has is impeccable & very conveniently located… just a 5 minutes walk from the train station! Some nice restaurants & eateries are located near enough & if you would want to venture for more choices, these places are not too far away… about 15 minutes/20 minutes walk to the coastal area.»

«Services are very good. Great location very near Atami Station with great sea wide. Unluckily while we were staying there was a new hotel construction nearby which made the view look less beautiful. The hotel is very old need some innovations which will make customers feel better especially the hot spring bathroom.»

«The room is large and extremely nice, all the required amenities are there. The view from the room balcony is magnificent, overseeing the beach . The unseen in the room is nice too, the temperature is just right . The free taxi service to and from station is very thoughtful and convenient. this is better than shuttle bus service which some hotels offer. The breakfast options are many with both western, Japanese, and even a bit of chinese.»

«I suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can. The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se. The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa. We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen.»

«I’m a little torn to rate the location average because it can be a pain to get to if you don’t have a car, but the view from the room (apparently all rooms have view of the sea) is great. A lot of variety for breakfast but nothing really stood out. I didn’t get to visit the onsen because they don’t allow tattooed people. I would stay again, especially in summer on a fireworks day!»

«We had a lovely stay at Hotel Oonoya. One of the perks was the free shuttle bus from Atami Station to the hotel. However, the map provided on the website seems outdated, which caused some initial confusion. Thankfully, the station staff was very helpful and directed us to the correct bus bay. A highlight of our trip was catching the Atami fireworks from the hotel’s rooftop — the view was absolutely perfect and made for a memorable evening. The indoor hot spring was also a standout feature: it’s spacious, spotlessly clean, and very relaxing after a long day of travel. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Just be sure to double-check shuttle bus details upon arrival!»
