DDaniel RodThe hotel is located fairly centrally in the island of Pingtan in a small village. Its exterior is nicely decorated with lights, and if you arrive late at night like we did, you’ll thank for that, as it shines like a beacon in a otherwise not very well lit street.
The service shone from the beginning. One of the staff was ready to help us with our luggage and show us in, and there was no delay with the registration of my passport (something that as any foreigner that has travelled in the Chinese Mainland will be able to tell, is not something to take for granted), and was immediately added to WeChat, where through the entire trip I was kept updated on everything relevant to us as guests, from the time breakfast was ready, to the fact that a guest with a dog was going to stay in a room next to ours (to which they offered to change if we needed in case any of us was scared or allergic to dogs). Breakfast was always kept warm for us, even when we were coming down late and were not expecting it to be there, and in general the staff’s attitude was always what you would expect in a bigger, more established (and more expensive) hotel, but with a home-stay twist.
The hotel is not very close to any scenic spot or touristic destination, but they offer a service of e-bike rental that we used through the trip, and that we’d recommend to anybody is staying here as it took transportation off the list of things we had to think about, and allowed us to fully take advantage of the central location of the inn. With 2 people per bike, going very far North, or South to the city (sometimes both in one trip), we never ran too close to empty our batteries.
The room was clean, big enough, and as we were staying on the last floor and our door opened to a patio, very well ventilated. The patio also proved to be a nice place to sit and chill or eat, and I was able to make work I had to finish feel less of a sore in the middle of my holidays. The only things I’d add or change to the room experience are a place to hang clothes (there wasn’t any closet or the sort), the toilet paper (they offered tissues but they don’t feel the same when you want to, you know, keep your hands clean), and real towels (they offer disposable towels, but they’re just not the same).
In conclusion, not only I would come back but I most certainly will, as I had an amazing trip and this inn played no small part in it. Would 100% recommend if you like less noisy, more home stay-ey atmosphere, and don’t mind to be a few minutes drive from the city.

UUsuario invitadoThe staff were extremely friendly and attentive, even before my arrival. They tried to contact me in advance, but as a foreign guest, I do not have a Chinese phone number. It would be more convenient if the hotel could ask for guests’ WeChat IDs through the Trip.com messenger instead. Upon arrival, the staff created a WeChat group and added me in, which turned out to be very helpful. Through the group, they assisted with all kinds of questions, such as recommended places to visit, how to rent an e-bike, and where to eat nearby. The responsiveness and service were excellent.
The room was awesome — very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was especially comfortable, and the view was fantastic. I also really loved the projector screen in the room, which allowed me to watch WeTV shows and other content. It made relaxing in the room even more enjoyable.
The hotel provides e-bike rentals, which is a great feature. However, I was personally under-geared for the weather. It rained the day before, and the entire day was cloudy with temperatures around 11°C. The sea breeze was very strong and cold, especially when riding the e-bike with the wind blowing directly at you. Proper winter gear is definitely needed in such conditions. If the hotel could provide glove and jacket rentals, that would be an amazing improvement.
In the evening, the staff even brought a small gift to the room. The gift was thoughtful and practical, and I really liked it — it was a warm and welcoming gesture that made the stay feel extra special.
Breakfast was okay. Guests are seated on Level 2, and the meal is served to the table. As I come from a place where some Chinese do not consume beef, it would be great if there were options such as chicken or beef. That said, the beef noodles were actually very good. The Western-style breakfast, however, was quite average.

LLIM KOK LIANGOverall, we thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay at this hotel.
• Location: The hotel is ideally situated, surrounded by plenty of great dining options and just steps away from a major attraction—LongWangTou (Dragon King Head)—along with a vast and beautiful beach.
• Staff: Everyone was exceptionally friendly, especially the manageress. She was not only present at the reception but also in the breakfast hall every morning. Her professionalism and constant smile made our check-in and check-out experiences seamless.
• Room: Our room was clean and comfortable, though the newly installed projector had some issues: the image was too dark, the startup time was slow, and it lacked TV functionality.
Despite these minor drawbacks, we would definitely return. We truly appreciated the genuine warmth and honesty of the staff. Keep up the great work, PingTan!

¡La habitación está tan asombrosa cuando se abre la puerta! La nueva decoración china es avanzada y cálida, la cama doble es amplia y limpia, la vista de la ventana puede ver el panorama del río y los edificios, la luz es excelente, la separación seca del baño es muy cuidadosa, el baño es todavía doble, es muy conveniente vivir con sus colegas! Los detalles también están en posición, los productos de cama son suaves, el ambiente luminoso es especialmente cómodo, el diseño de aislamiento de la zona de oficina y el sofá es muy sensacional, y siento que se relaja cuando entren ～
El servicio también es muy intimidad, el tratamiento de la estancia rápida y la actitud del personal es especialmente buena. La experiencia global es satisfactoria, la próxima vez que vengan aquí, ¡debemos elegir esta casa!

UUsuario invitadoOutstanding service! Every team member we encountered was cheerful and went out of their way to be helpful. They suggested a dining place and showed us to get there. In the evening I asked if I could get some more candy, and a girl from reception brought me a whole bunch of their signature gummies and cookies! Their energy and eagerness to assist with anything we needed made a huge difference. We had an urgent change in our plan and the hotel staff helped us a lot.
The design is just amazing! Rooms are quiet, clean and artsy. We were enjoying every bit of it, every detail! And the location is nice as well. Everything was perfect!
The staff is a true highlight of the hotel! I wish this hotel prosperity and I hope many more people will enjoy their stays just as we did.

The location may not be the best during off peak season for convenience to food etc. if you do not drive but I personally enjoyed the peaceful environment. Room is good, cute decor with heated blanket during winter. Its also easy to hire a driver/guide or a scooter to go around the island. Guesthouse owner is super helpful and responsive to all my needs and questions which i greatly appreciate. Had breakfast delivered to my door every morning as I was the only guest in the whole area. It would be a bonus if the guesthouse provides blankets for guests to sit outside to enjoy the view more during winter. Great place!

From the moment we entered the hotel lobby, we were impressed by the warm and luxurious atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly and check-in was quick and efficient. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing us with a great night’s sleep. The hotel is conveniently located with many restaurants and shops nearby, making it easy to explore the area. We also really appreciated the thoughtful little details that made our stay even more special. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend ZhongYuan Hotel. Definitely a five-star experience

UUsuario invitado從福州高鐵去平潭，因為更想沉浸式體驗海所以不想住縣城。在北港村，比較方便，租車自駕環島了一圈，應該是除了龍王頭以外周圍配套最便利的了。出門就有可以趕海的沙灘，有好吃的台灣菜，晚上也鬧中取靜，還有新年限定海上煙花，衞生條件基本滿足個人需求，值得推薦。老闆也是很幫忙，有求必應，算是比較温馨舒適且過年溢價不誇張的民宿。
