I cannot recommend this farmhouse enough! If you are visiting the Jinshanling Great Wall, staying here is an absolute must. The location is perfect, featuring a beautiful rooftop terrace where you can sit and look directly at the Great Wall in total peace. The room itself was modern, and clean, with a great AC, but set right in the middle of a charming, authentic farm. But the absolute highlight of my stay was the host family. The hospitality is unmatched. The Owner Lady of the house cooked some of the most delicious, massive, and authentic meals I’ve had in China, and she went completely out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and well-fed. The food was also unbelievably affordable. The Owner truly went above and beyond for me. When I was struggling to find a reasonably priced car back to Beijing, he spent hours late at night helping me on WeChat, making sure I wasn't overcharged by local drivers. He eventually helped me find a cheap, highly scenic train route back to the city and personally drove me to the local station. They treated a solo foreign traveler like absolute family. If you want a genuine, heartwarming, and frictionless experience at the Great Wall, book this place. 太好吃了 and 谢谢 to the amazing hosts!”

Hotel man is great, he speaks very good English and is super friendly and kind. Transportation by car was arranged to and from the train station as well as for heading up the hill at 6am to the Jinshanling great wall park entrance to catch sunrise from the Great Wall at the top. It is possible to just walk up to the gate instead, it just takes longer to walk the 2 km to the ticket checking gate, and there is then still some maybe 15 mins of walking uphill before getting to the top. Our stay at Shanhai Premium Guesthouse was an incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating experience! The mountain surroundings were absolutely breathtaking, with fresh crisp air that immediately washed away all our city stress. The room was cozy and well-designed, featuring traditional Chinese elements blended with modern amenities. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was perfect for exploring the Wuling Mountain area, and we loved waking up to the sound of birds and seeing the misty mountain views every morning. The hiking trails nearby were well-maintained and offered stunning views of the landscape. Although it was a bit remote, that was exactly what we were looking for - a true escape from urban life. The local breakfast was delicious and featured fresh, organic ingredients from the area. We particularly enjoyed the evening stargazing, as the night sky was crystal clear away from city lights. This place is absolutely perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or anyone looking to reconnect with nature. We would definitely recommend this hidden gem to all our friends and family, and we plan to return again in the different seasons to experience the changing beauty of the mountains. This was without question one of the most beautiful and memorable stays I have ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Their kindness, warmth, and attention to detail were exceptional throughout our stay. Every interaction felt sincere and heartfelt, which made the experience even more special. The property itself is stunning. Surrounded by mountains and nature, it offers a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a true escape from everyday life. The infinity pool was absolutely breathtaking—especially at sunset. Swimming while overlooking the mountains felt like something from a dream. Our room was spacious, beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail had clearly been carefully considered, and the views from the room were spectacular. The breakfast and afternoon tea were another highlight. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, delicious, and presented with great care. More importantly, you could feel the effort and hospitality behind every meal. It wasn’t just food—it was an experience that reflected the passion and dedication of the team. What truly sets this place apart is the people. The staff consistently went above and beyond to make sure every guest felt cared for and at home. I have stayed in many hotels and guesthouses, but this place is truly special. Comenzamos nuestra caminata por la Gran Muralla en la puerta norte de Gubeikou. Esta casa de huéspedes nos resultó muy conveniente. Gubeikou es un pueblo encantador con una tienda y algunos restaurantes. Los dueños nos recibieron en el taxi y nos acompañaron a nuestra habitación. La habitación estaba muy limpia y cálida. Teníamos hambre y nos prepararon dumplings caseros, muy ricos. La ducha era estupenda. Nos guardaron las maletas mientras caminábamos por la muralla hasta Jingshaling y regresamos al día siguiente para tomar el tren de vuelta a Pekín.

Alojamiento ubicado al lado de la entrada a la muralla. Habitaciones muy amplias. Las camas son un poco duras y aunque tienen servicio de restaurante, los precios son elevados. Se podría justificar por la ubicación y el lugar donde se encuentra, pero cada plato ronda los 10 euros, lo cual nos pareció caro, pero no hay muchas opciones en los alrededores. En nuestro caso teníamos el desayuno incluido, y aunque era muy completo era un típico desayuno oriental, por lo que echamos en falta que hubiera alguna opción para occidentales, al menos café. Por otro lado, aprovecho este comentario para poner en conocimiento la mafia que tienen en esta zona con respecto a los taxis, didis. Por un lado, desde el hotel te ofrecen servicio de transporte constantemente, ya que les sale rentable. Es comprensible ya que vienen del turismo. Pero por otro lado y lo más alarmante: a la salida de la muralla, si pides un Didi lo que hacen es reservarlo y cuando llegan te dicen que canceles el viaje y te ofrecen un precio mucho más elevado. ¿Qué ocurre? Tú no puedes cancelar el Didi porque te cobran, al haber transcurrido el tiempo de cancelación gratis y el conductor que te lo ha reservado no te lo cancela, por tanto, te coaccionan y la única opción que tienes es pasar por el aro y viajar con él. Es una experiencia muy desagradable. La verdad que es muy triste que abusen de esa forma de los turistas.

La ubicación es excelente: justo en el área escénica, al pie de la Gran Muralla. Ideal para ver el amanecer temprano. El servicio también es muy bueno; el personal es sincero, amable y genuino. Sin embargo, las instalaciones del hotel son anticuadas y las habitaciones están mal selladas. En otoño, tuvimos que poner el aire acondicionado a 30 grados Celsius para mantener la habitación caliente. También hubo un breve corte de luz el día de la salida. No está a la altura de un hotel de 5 estrellas. Reservamos una habitación en la primera planta con patio; la comodidad era normal y el precio bajo.

El hotel está a unos siete minutos de Jinshanling Great Wall Motor City. Es una zona turística con propiedades de propiedad de sus propietarios y habitaciones de hotel administradas. El ambiente del complejo es muy bueno, con un parque infantil al aire libre para padres e hijos y algunas instalaciones de entretenimiento interiores. El parque infantil al aire libre para padres e hijos tiene los trampolines y toboganes grandes favoritos de los niños, y la casa enana es súper fresca en verano. El entretenimiento interior incluye arena aérea, Lego y libros ilustrados, lo cual es muy amigable para padres e hijos. El bebé nunca se aburrirá. También hay dos rutas de senderismo cerca del hotel, menos concurridas y un poco salvajes. Si se quiere ir se recomienda preparar equipo un poco más profesional. Los bastones de trekking y el calzado outdoor son imprescindibles. Puedes subir a la cima de la montaña en la Línea B (en dirección a Zen Terrace) y contemplar la Gran Muralla Jinshanling, que es muy espectacular. El restaurante es básico y adecuado. A mi hijo le gustan mucho los fideos estofados con tomate. La habitación está muy limpia y no hay mosquitos (una casa en la montaña puede hacer esto, lo cual es muy bueno). La habitación con vista a la montaña que reservamos es una habitación de tres pies cuatro con una pequeña sala de estar debajo y dos habitaciones arriba. Es muy adecuada para una familia con dos niños.
