UUsuario invitadoWe initially booked just two nights at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, but the outstanding service we received made us extend our stay—and I’m so glad we did. The level of attentiveness and genuine care shown by the staff truly elevated our experience.
One moment that stood out was during breakfast. My husband asked a staff member at the pastry section whether the items were halal. She explained it to him politely, and to our surprise, about 15 minutes later, the Assistant Director of the restaurant, Mr. Albert, personally came to our table. He took the time to explain the halal options available and even assured us that eggs could be prepared using separate utensils.
While I was getting bread, Mr. Albert noticed and came over again, kindly asking if I would like my eggs prepared then. He immediately instructed the chef to prepare eggs and nuggets for me and told me to sit comfortably while he arranged everything to be brought over.
His thoughtfulness and proactive service left a lasting impression. It’s rare to see such initiative and care, and it made me feel confident that I had chosen the right hotel.
I will definitely recommend Grand Hyatt Melbourne to my family and friends. The hotel is fortunate to have a staff member like Mr. Albert—he truly deserves recognition for his outstanding hospitality.

UUsuario invitadoLa habitación es increíble. El personal que trabajan en la recepción son muy fáciles de hablar y accesibles y super útil. El cuarto es acondicionado y la vista es hermosa.En general mi estancia con Holiday Inn Express son muy convenientes y el proceso en general es suave.

CClarrence LeoWe are a family of 5 adult and 1 infant, and we booked 2 rooms separately. We primarily chose this hotel because of the good location next to the domestic terminal and a not-so-expensive price point (compared to Parkroyal which was directly opposite the hotel). The rooms were decently-sized, nothing too luxurious as it catered mainly to travellers transferring in the airport. The hotel had a massive gym, which was surprisingly given that it was mostly empty but they had all kinds of equipment catering to all body parts. We also had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was OK. Not the best food, but at least it filled out stomachs with the standard spread of Western food - fruits, bread, eggs and bacons etc. All in all, would recommend this hotel if you are transitioning at Melbourne for a night and looking for an affordable yet not too shabby place to sleep!

WWilliam AmercoThe hotel is super convenient. It is in the centre of Bourke street. A lots of shopping, eateries and grocers within 10m walk. Unbelievable. Only set back, they don’t have a washing machine in the apartment. The view from the apartment is good. I stay on a very high floor.
The apartment is clean but a bit outdated. Overall, I will return to stay again

UUsuario invitadoMade a mistake with getting breakfast.. stale bread, coffee machine was broken, food was bland. Only good thing was the chia pudding and juice selection. Staff service was inadequate and makes you feel ignored.
Room was clean but pretty sure the bathtub was not cleaned from previous usage as there was soap scum/dirt on the sides. And no body soap.

UUsuario invitadoThe king bed was 2 singles zipped together. Not a fan, the first night they had forgotten the mattress protectors etc so the ridge of the 2 mattresses was awful. Came back to the room the 2nd afternoon and for some reason the bed had been made into 2 singles🤷 no idea. It took 2 phone calls to the desk and a lot of waiting to get house keeping to come up and redo into a king with proper linen. Expected a bit more for the $

BBec143I’ve stayed at numerous at the Punt Hill apartments over the past decade, though it had been a while since I last stayed in one.
Our one bedroom apartment was spacious, however the hotel is quite run down now.
Walls in the bathroom weren’t very clean, neither were mugs and cutlery (I always make a habit of cleaning things before I use them!).
I ended up staying mostly in the hotel as I was sick with the flu so I noticed the wifi was very glitchy and intermittent too so it made streaming shows quite difficult to watch that I ended up just using my phone.
The beds were comfortable though!
The location is actually fantastic too, right in the heart of China town and easily walkable to places.

The one bedroom apartment was huge. Plenty of room with an equally huge balcony.
The place was clean, apart from one of the towels that had some type of hard black stain that stick do towels to it’s self. Not ideal, but this would be an issue with the laundry company that Quest use.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend.

UUsuario invitadoLocation: Can be tricky to find the first time as you need to turn onto Cyril Street. Look across the road for the white building with red writing.
Check-in: easy and fast. The man on reception is friendly and organised, just a lovely receptionist. There is a bond of $200; be organised and you’ll save your time and the receptionist’s time. You can pay the bond in cash.
Parking: great, BUT there are some permanents living there and so you might want to park away from them… you will see immediately where you should not park :) clean parking area. Seemed organised.
Room: very clean, comfortable. There are no knives, forks or plates, but there is a kettle and a microwave. Teas coffees, etc. six milk pods, so maybe bring milk if you need more. Really make sure that you close the door properly or it will seem shut, but not actually be shut and will open :) Good curtains in the room that block out the light from outside. I noticed a fair amount of security cameras outside on the walkway, which was reassuring. Fantastic showers with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed is firm, but I liked it.
Would or wouldn’t stay again? Unfortunately, no, not while they are acting as ‘crisis accommodation’. The staff and room were great, but there are some undesirables living there who kept us awake all night. Not exaggerating when I say, did not sleep AT ALL. We were up and down to check on the car - the permanents were screaming, fighting - some real Jerry Springer stuff. I was upstairs and the people next to me had a dog that barked all night, in addition to the couple screaming at each other :/ Downstairs, fighting, screaming constantly. it sounded like something got broken downstairs. A guy on a motorbike kept coming and going, visiting the permanents downstairs and talking super loudly, then more yelling and fighting after he tore off on his bike. I didn’t feel safe; I expected the car to get damaged. I realise those people’s behaviour is not the motel’s fault, but I was so tired the next day that I got a migraine and yeah, still fending it off now, day after. Not impressed with those feral permanents. It’s a shame because the staff and rooms are great
