The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was very large too. It was all clean. Most guest rooms are in annexes, with reception and dining in the old building (old for Oz, anyway) which boasts a bit of style. Breakfast was quite good but items such as bacon and scrambled eggs did not stay very hot about the buffet. I liked the sourdough. Reception was prompt and professional. Now the minor dislikes: it’s a good 30 minute walk from the CBD / waterfront, up a bit of hill all the way. (There is an area with plenty of bars etc about half way). I walked several times a day and it was OK. Most guests will have cars though. The living area in the room needed a TV. If there can only be one TV per room, it would be better there than in front of the bed in my opinion. Finally, one of the two wardrobes is locked up, presumably to store linen etc. The other only has hanging space so there was no shelving. I felt a little cheated that half of “my” potential wardrobe space was denied to me! On balance, I would consider staying again, even though it is a little way out of town. Overall it is large, clean, comfortable and manages a little style.

房間空間很大，舉架低了點，但卧房跟客廳分開，使用起來方便，卧房有一個露台，可以直接站到外面，雖然房間沒有空調，但掛壁式電暖器很給力，反正我跟孩子都不覺得冷。床也很舒服。就是這個早餐，品種太少，需要提高！

Loved our stay, beautiful building although shame some of the timber has been painted over, room and bed very comfortable. Staff were great. Toaster would have been good. On the whole loved it. Room 59 and very roomy, felt like a small apar**ent. TV in bedroom would be good also.

Excellent service. Super clean space. Great meals and well priced. I cannot fault the property at all!! Last minute booking due to previous accomodation not being acceptable. The staff when I called were very helpful and when I arrived couldn’t do enough to make me feel safe and looked after. The room was very large and super clean. Staff offered to assist with my luggage and also with dinner (which was yummy). Very thankful I found this property on a very ordinary evening.

Our stay was terrific - wonderful location and our room was large. light, well appointed and very comfortable with a lovely view. Parking is free and on site which is a bonus. Breakfast was great and all the staff were wonderful - thank you for a lovely stay - we will be back !

We had a great stay here in a lovely room with a view over the oval and waterfront (but note long way in the distance). The room is large with a comfy bed and nice big bathroom. However, do note that this was a free stay due to a previous poor experience when we had a room advertised as having a view but we had a view of a tin roof…. The hotel have since checked and changed room descriptions on external websites and kindly offered us another stay. So we would come back but beware of certain room types. Hotel pool was so cold I didn’t swim (and I swim in southern Tassie seas).

We had a wonderful stay at the Rydges Hobart. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The room was extremely spacious and clean, with a lovely comfortable bed. We especially enjoyed the breakfast as well as the in-room dining.
