Crosby Street Hotel

We researched luxury hotels extensively and decided the Crosby was the best choice for the part of New York we wanted to be in. We booked two rooms but due to a glitch there was a problem. I spoke with David Quiroga reservation manager who calmly and apologetically laid out the issue. He found a way out of the conundrum in a very professional and satisfactory way. At the best hotels they will do this: personalize your experience and find out of the box ways to keep clients with high expectations happy. At some other high end hotels in NYC you will get lip service without the underlying help or substantive commi**ent to client happiness.

Today, I visited the hotel for a crucial meeting with my client, intending to discuss design ideas for his new space, inspired by the hotel’s style. However, my experience was marred by unwelcoming interactions with the staff. When I attempted to charge my laptop at the restaurant, I was abruptly informed that it wasn’t allowed. Relocating to the library for a charge, I was promptly escorted out by the assistant beverage manager, Shelly, who insisted that only hotel guests were permitted there. This lack of flexibility and accommodation made me feel unwelcome. Despite understanding the necessity of rules, the abruptness of the staff’s response and their failure to offer alternatives left a negative impression. As someone who has frequented 5-star hotels globally, I am disappointed by the snobbish and dismissive trea**ent I received. It’s disheartening to see a hotel prioritize current guests over potential future ones, neglecting the fundamental principles of good customer service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.

This is a gem. The decor is unique -- boho meets pet lovers (I assume furry friends are welcome). Great service. Lovely turndown touches (candle, pillow spritz). A serious, serious minibar. A good in-house restaurant and a lovely drawing room with a nice selection of drinks -- hot and cold. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in New York, and this is one of the best boutiques. Rule Brittania!

Even though it rained non -stop we had the perfect cozy place to land. This is a special hotel, the design and location are unmatched. Had tea and cocktails in the lobby bar and felt pampered and happy. Something about being tucked away on a cobblestone street in the middle of a big city is just heaven. As are the beds and robes. Look forward to coming back soon.

First time stay at this wonderful hotel. It has a nice quiet location and within easy walking distance to all you could want. The rooms are very comfortable and the service is top notch. Make sure to stop in the bar as it is one of the most beautiful in the city. I think I found my new favorite in NYC.

Wonderful hotel , gorgeous furnishings extremely comfortable beds and pillows and excellent service. I would highly recommend this location and their other London hotels . Looking forward to a return stay

What a joyful haven this is - a perfect location in Soho, with ultra-comfortable furnishings, floor to ceiling windows overlooking Crosby Street, and a shower with the best water pressure ever! The happy staff meets your every need... and then surprises you with a treat when you least expect it. The restaurant (the Crosby Bar) has a wonderful menu and great service at affordable prices. But, the most unique part of this hotel is that it is an art museum unto itself. The lobby, restaurant, elevators, courtyard and guest rooms are filled with Kit Kemp designed furnishings and art - even the dinnerware is art. The blasts of beautiful colors in every space surround you with joy. For a special trip to NYC, this is the place!

I have stayed at Crosby a few times. First was during the pandemic and they were super grateful we chose Crosby as the place was empty. We were impressed and have chosen Crosby for all our visits since 2020 and recommended it to numerous friends. All visits were great. Our most recent visit was on Monday night last week in June 2023- it was great too! We checked out on Tuesday and then went to New England and were flying out of JFK on a Saturday evening so thought we would come into NYC early Saturday, leave our bags at the Crosby, and then do NYC touristy things before collecting our bags in the afternoon and heading out to JFK. Probably would have had lunch at Crosby. Crosby said no! They said they were full and their luggage store had no space for our 3 bags! I thought that maybe the email came from a junior person, but when I re-read the email I was amazed that it came from a Manager! He didn't even offer us an alternative. I found a great app called Bounce which allows you to find places to store luggage so all turned out fine. Was actually better since I found a place right next to Grand Central. I am always amazed at how short sighted a business can be. I have spent thousands of dollars with Crosby and they were not able to help in any way, nor offer an alternative. I will look for another place to stay going forward.
