Home Farm Bed and Breakfast

A delightful experience from the warmth of the welcome to the lovely meals provided for us. The standard of accommodation is superb. We enjoyed our conversations and our shared interests in the birdlife which entertained us at breakfast. Sue and Stewart are the perfect hosts and we hope to return.

Sue and Stewart are complete gems of B and B hosts. They made us feel warm and welcome and really made every effort to help us feel at ease. The breakfasts were fantastic and our daughter was very happy to see Nutella and Vegemite! The area itself is beautiful and peaceful. Their garden is so stunning and we loved watching the birds at the bird feeder while we ate breakfast. Highly recommend this B and B.

Home Farm was cozy and quiet. Stewart and Susan were wonderful, especially with helping us decide what to do and see during the day. Their suggestions brought us to some gorgeous places we would have missed.

We only stayed 1 night but I wish it had been longer, we had a lovely welcome with coffee and biscuits, really nice bedroom and en-suite, breakfast in the morning was lovely, attention to detail was so good

We had an amazing experience at Home Farm Bed & Breakfast. It is situated on the edge of Muir of Ord surrounded by fields with only a couple of houses on the single track road leading up to it. There is a garden and small wood adjacent to the house which guests can wander around and sit in when it is warm enough. We were there in March so had a wander but enjoyed the garden from inside. We were warmly welcomed by Sue and Stewart who own and run Home Farm. The inside of the house is beautiful and as we were the only guests so early in the season we were offered a choice of two rooms which was very generous. The bedroom had an ensuite shower and a very comfortable bed. A range of infusions, tea and coffee were provided along with a selection of toiletries items if required. The decor of the whole house had been well thought out and there were interesting items and art work around to enjoy. We also had access to two guest sitting areas, a garden room with views over the garden, which leads onto a patio for warmer weather, and a general sitting room with a TV if required. Both rooms had comfortable leather sofas with recliners in the second sitting area. We had booked a two night stay with dinner as well as breakfast and Sue's cooking was amazing! We had pre-ordered our meals and the freshness and quality of the ingredients was clear. Sue also makes her own bread and the eggs are from their own hens who you can visit. The dining room is family style with one large table and looks onto the garden. So you can watch the birds feeding as you have breakfast. Stewart is very knowledgeable about the birds that visit the garden. Sue and Stewart are also very knowledgeable about the area and as well as providing lots of leaflets, books and maps to browse through they will provide suggestions based on your interests and abilities. We would highly recommend Home Farm Bed and Breakfast to anyone wanting to visit the area and be sure of good food and a very warm welcome.

Great friendly hosts, with excellent knowledge of the area. Lovely country location, very quiet but within easy drive of everything. Breakfast was lovely with good choice every day and being able to watch the birds at the feeders every morning was an extra bonus. Definitely somewhere to go back and stay again.

Home Farm is the perfect place to stay to explore the highlands! We had two rooms (family of 4 with two teenagers) for five nights. We visited Ullapool, numerous castles and stone circles, Loch Ness, Culloden and many more places. We are also gardeners and Home Farm has ＞1000 different plants and an amazing pond (as well as chickens, which will provide you your breakfast eggs each morning!). The location is around 15 minutes outside of Inverness in the very quiet town of Muir of Ord (down a dirt road and past the highland cows!). Muir of Ord is also the location of the Singleton Whiskey Distillery (one of their three locations in Scotland). It is well worth touring, even for non-whiskey drinkers like us (kids welcome on the tour). In the shop, they have bottles that are only sold in this one location (The Singleton of Glen Ord - Celebratory Editio. Only 3000 bottles made and only sold in this store). Have Sue cook you are least one dinner (for a modest additional cost). We has dinners our first and last night, and they were amazing.

It was our second stay with Sue and Stewart and we can only recommend the B&B. The rooms are spotless clean. The breakfast menu outstanding and dinner great. Feel free to choose Steak or Langoustines for dinner (on request, book in advance) and Cranachan for dessert, you will enjoy it. The garden is great (you can see a lot of birds and even a woodpecker). And the hosts are simply great!

Soluzione perfetta nelle vicinanze di Inverness (circa 25 minuti d'auto). Una bella casa di campagna con un meraviglioso giardino, gestita da una coppia simpatica e disponibile. Camere davvero belle, curate ed arredate con amore, pulitissime. Sarete davvero ospiti "in casa" loro e, volendo, è possibile anche cenare su prenotazione anticipata. Colazione dolce o salata (entrambe ottime e generose) inclusa nel prezzo. La nostra camera era una doppia twin, al piano di sopra. Il bagno (uso esclusivo, davvero grande e luminoso) era sempre sul piano, ma esterno rispetto alla camera.
