I am disappointed in the service and cleanliness of the Smoke House. After checking in, we found items in the mini fridge, trash in the drawers, used blankets, Taco Bell sauces on the floor, and hair everywhere. The front desk showed no remorse or offered a refund, simply stating they would inform their manager.

We found this when planning our travel down to Florida. We enjoyed the cabin so much, we booked it for our return drive. Just wish to make a few suggestions - add a roll of paper towel to the kitchen and we wish the restaurant was open more than just on the weekends. We have already recommended the Lodge to others and we will be back when we are in the area or can plan a trip!

It was raining so we couldn’t enjoy the outside scenery, but the room was neat and quiet. The beds are a little stiffer than I like.

This property used to be very nice but since the restaurant burned down there has been a real downturn. There is no refrigerator or microwave in the room and the cell service in the entire area is SOS. I have coming here for over 20 years and the choices for food and entertainment has decreased. If I didn’t have to attend a family funeral, I would not have stayed here.

The shower head was broke, rust was coming out of shower. The wallpaper was tore in bathroom. There was a stain under the toilet. The air conditioner was very loud.

Excellent small area with small population around it. Will definetly make this a top place to stay in our future travels through this area. We come through at least once or more a year and this will be one of the places we stop for the evening. Only negative is main hwy out in front. Didn't bother us but some people might not like that.

Ended up staying overnight during a winter storm. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lodge had nice surroundings and cozy a**osphere, something you'd find in the middle of a forest. Rates were very reasonable, definitely stay here again!
