The bed and breakfast was in a beautiful location. Absolutely stunning views. The rooms were lovely and clean, we had the family room and had lots of space. Beds were so comfortable as well. We had dinner in the evening and OMG the food was delicious. Breakfast included and had a great range for everyone. Would definitely stay here again and the staff are so friendly as well. It was like staying with family.

Eaten at the restaurant twice in the last week. A delicious healthy colourful lunch and tasty filling dinner watching the sky turn pink over the sea at sunset. Gorgeous views, lovely staff, family run, proper restaurant service and ambience.

I have been planning on staying at the Castlemead since I moved out of the village several years ago and it far exceeded my expectations. A lovely building in a superb location, beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious, a range of foods to suit every one whatever their diet and preferences and the evening meal had another wide ranging menu, of which we had four different dishes over our two day stay. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and could not have done more to make our stay very memorable. We are already planning a return as soon as we can for a longer stay.

Disappointed with breakfast served on glass plate: undercooked egg, had to soak up water from egg and fish with napkin. Wondered why no one asked how the food was - or if we enjoyed our one night stay when handing back the keys. Lovely main house with great views but underwhelmed with the coach house and the two strange red lights in the ceiling that shone all through the night. Sadly wont return.

A beautiful place for lunch, in a lovely garden. Service was great, and the food was excellent. Most of the food is homemade, and a lot of the ingredients are home grown. Although we weren't staying, the hotel interior looked very tastefully designed. Most impressive.

The Castlemead Hotel was highly recommended to us by Emma and Steve Allum at The Welsh Organic Tannery. We went for diner and had the most wonderful evening. There is a warm welcoming a**osphere that you notice as soon as you walk in the door. The dining room has lovely big windows with beautiful views and is decorated, not in a grand and pretentious way, but in a way that has been thoughtfully planned to a charming effect with some very clever upcycling. Everybody is very friendly and cheerful and the food is absolutely exquisite; local produce cooked to perfection. We visited Wales during Storm Noah which ruined our outdoor entertainment; thank goodness we had this fabulous evening at Castlemead Hotel to make everything good again.

We spent 3 peaceful and enjoyable nights at Castlemead. We were made to feel welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. Equally our dog was also welcomed warmly and had a happy time exploring the coast with us! There is an old fashioned, unfussy charm to the rooms and the setting. A comfy sitting room with views across to the sea, castle and church. Stunning views and walks. Great breakfast and supper. A family run hotel with plenty of charm. Thank you, we needed a break and this was just perfect for us . We will definitely return.

Our annual friends getaway had a lot to live up to after last years trip but The Castlemead Hotel’s welcome from Alice, along with her excellent fresh food in the evening, then the breakfast that I told my husband rivals our cruise ones, all served to make our stay very special. The care and considerate enquiries from Mom (Mom and Alice are co partners in The Castlemead Hotel), the colleague’s went out of their way to make us feel welcome and relaxed. The view from its garden can’t fail to impress. I will be back. Jack and Lottie the owners Collies were just the icing on the cake for me. Thankyou all.

We stayed for five nights at the end of June, in a beautifully situated, large room on the ground floor with views across the garden towards the sea, and also to the 12th century church on the hillside opposite. There was a table with two arm chairs, as well as a small sofa and fridge, so well equipped for chilling out, should the weather be inclement. Castlemeads is just at the top of the short hill down to the beach car park, so very convenient for the lovely, west-facing beach; also for the Pembrokeshire coast path, with its spectacular cliff-top views, and for Manorbier Castle. We ate in the restaurant on three nights and the food, both at dinner and breakfast, was excellent. The hotel is family run; the staff were lovely, and very helpful.
