Blue Bay Resort Hotel

The weeks stay I had with my daughter was really nice and relaxing. We went all inclusive and I couldn’t fault the food and the choices , although if you’re a vegan unfortunately not many choices to choose from . The only downside was the amount of steps that lead to the main part of the hotel if your apartment was at the bottom. Too many steps for me, but if you’re after a quiet relaxing hotel this is the place. All the staff were great and helpful and the entertainment was really good. Rooms cleaned daily , not many other amenities near by by if you’re happy to stay around the hotel then not a problem. I like to explore so wasn’t much to see locally. I enjoyed my stay overall.

Last year, I spent two days with my husband at The Blue Bay Resort and we had a wonderful time. Our room was located in the annex. It had its own swimming pool. We had hired a car but did not use it during our stay. The beach was within walking distance. Last October, we came for three days. It was simply amazing. The staff were welcoming and very caring. We will no doubt visit again as soon as possible.

We had an amazing stay at Blue Bay Resort Hotel. The hotel is so welcoming and extremely friendly. The staff were totally fantastic especially Ritsa she was so so helpful and her and all the staff couldn't do enough for you. Such a gorgeous place to stay. The food was very well presented (on occasions repetitive) but we couldn't fault the cleanliness and the amount. It was very good! The walk to the beach takes minutes albeit it very steep 🤪 but its worth it. The sea was warm and so inviting and the bars down by the beach were just brilliant. Great beer and fab food and even better staff. We will definitely be returning to this hotel. My only complaint is how most hotels seem to going now and that's the drinks on the all inclusive. You are limited to choice and served in such small amounts which means more visits to the bar. It was terrible just not what we expected. It will how ever make me think that maybe future holidays we will do B&B instead (where ever we go) and give our money the gorgeous restaurants and bars that so sadly have suffered since all inclusive became popular. It was worth it years ago but now I'm not so sure. Cheaper to eat out. Cant wait to return here X

We had a lovely stay at Blue bay resort.Food was amazing.Staff were helpful, polite and courteous.Night time shows were very good.Bus to local beach provided but if you want to explore other beaches,car hire recommended probably best to hire at the airport as local car rental very expensive in Agia Pelagia.Bus to Heraklion from Blue Bay cost only 4 euro . I would stay in this hotel again.

I just wanted to give a review based on my recent visit. This is our second visit to the area having previously stayed at the seaside resort. We booked again because we fell in love with the area. I am just trying to be honest with our visit to the Blue Bay Resort. The hotel is perched on a hill overlooking the gorgeous bay at mononaftis. We arrived in the early hours and were greeted by the night manager who checked us in very swiftly. The night porter provided us with a bag with some sandwiches and fruit which was a nice touch. The room was very spacious and clean and the mattress was comfortable. I still don't understand this thing with single beds pushed together as a double or king would have been nice.we basically went straight to bed. We woke up the next morning after a good sleep and went for breakfast. It was just as we expected for the all inclusive package there is something for everyone. The pool are is fairly large with 3 pools and a pool bar which serves local wines,beer and cocktails. There is also a selection of food,sandwiches,pizza etc. The views of the bay below are amazing. We skipped lunch while we were staying so can't comment on the offering. After a lazy day by the pool we spent the evening at the main bar which has lovely views. I won't go in to too much detail but we spent half the time at the hotel and the remainder at the beach which has very comfortable loungers for 5 euros a day each . There is a lovely bar called Nemos which serves great food and drinks at very reasonable prices. The beach is lovely but be aware that as you enter the sea it is rocks which can be very slippy caution is required. It is amazing fir snorkeling because of the rocks. Back to the hotel and it offerings. The evening meal is buffet style and there is a fairly comprehensive choice but after 10 days it does become a bit repetitive. My biggest gripe with the resturant is that if you prefer to eat a little later as we do is that they done re-set tables so you spend time looking for one that has cutlery on and is clean. On a few occasions I had to ask for a table to be set which is quite poor. It is open for evening meal from 7 to 9.30 and I am talking about 8.30 so expect a bit more. Having read previous reviews I tended to agree with most of the 3☆ comments so that is why I have scored it this way. Here are the reasons. The area is very hilly so not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The all inclusive drinks package is very average unless your happy with local beer,very poor wine( no mater what colour). The cocktails are mostly raki or ouzo based which is not to everyone's taste. You can purchase premium drinks but that has the potential to become expensive. Quite a poor drink offering in comparison to other all inclusive hotels we have stayed in. I read the hotels reply to this on other reviews and they just defend it saying it is explained where advertised which it is but just a few tweeks in this area could make all the difference. F

It was a magical vacation for us. We had great time. The rooms are nice and clean. The snack bar and the main bar were very nice places to spend time and have amazing view. In the restaurant we enjoyed the most amazing food, many thanks to chief and cookers for the wonderful meals they were making. Also the restaurant stuff was very kind, always smiling and cheerful. The Blue Bay resort is an exceptional vacation spot that offers top-notch amenities, a diverse and delectable range of culinary options, spotless and tidy surroundings, and a team of friendly and helpful staff. We really enjoyed our 1 week holiday at Blue Bay. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely massage at the spa. The pools were lovely but a bit cold due to the time of year we came but the sun still shone and we enjoyed sitting round the pool and relaxing. 2 beautiful beaches nearby within walking distance but be prepared for a steep walk back to the hotel (or take the shuttle instead) Our family room was OK. TV in main room didn’t work but it didn’t worry us enough as we hardly watched any TV! Balcony great for watching sunsets. Maybe the room could do with a little update. The food was AMAZING!!! Huge selection and gorgeous desserts. The views were outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If we were to come back we would probably come back at a different time of the year to make the most of the hot weather and facilities. Thank you very much for having us! Jo, Kim, Luka and Noah
