From the evening we arrived til the day we left we’ve had a great holiday at PELAGIA Bay . All the staff are fabulous , always greeted with a smile and hello how are you ? Room was cleaned daily and it’s very spacious, ours had a sea view and the sunrise was beautiful to watch ( room 9 ). Food was good and always something to put a meal together. Yes there are a lot of steps in the hotel so not suitable if you have mobility issues. A great big thank you to Yannis who along with all the staff worked so hard, he’s #1 barman, and we certainly hope to come back again .

I have spent the most chilled week in this hotel. from the moment we stepped in, the staff have been nothing but helpful, nothing has been too much trouble. the room is basic but spotless and it's got a kettle and a fridge. our towels were changed daily. we spent all of our evenings in the hotel bar.....big shout out to giannis who kept the music and drinks flowing. made some brilliant friends. the only complaint I have is the incessant moaning from a person who has previously left a review. I agree with others that although she said the food and pool were disgusting she spent a lot of time in there and eating. one thing that definitely isn't true is the staff being lazy. they work so hard and are so accommodating. I'm sad to be leaving

It's a wonderful peaceful haven with beautiful sea views. This place is small enough to form lovely new friendships with others but large enough to have your own space if that's what you prefer. Lovely, attentive and hard working staff. It is a 3 star hotel that meets all your needs Lots of steps due to its unique position and a healthy walk to/from the beach, so great for yout wellbeing and getting your steps in. Clean, basic but comfortable rooms and I never went hungry and enjoyed the small but varied buffet choices... It's for all these reasons I have never forgot my stay here in 2022 and I've booked to return in June 2024 and cannot wait to arrive....

Sad to be leaving today after a fabulous week at Pelagia bay hotel, we did change rooms as had asked for a ground floor room and that’s what we were given, but being fickle changed our minds and wanted a sea view! Enquired in the morning and Lovely Lucy had us moved by that afternoon, free of charge, Stefanos ,Giannis, and Lucy work incredibly hard carrying bags for you, sorting any problems, booking trips, serving behind the bar, checking everything is ok with your meal, as does the smiley man serving and replenishing the food, sorry didn’t catch your name, it is basic but there’s enough choice and you would not leave hungry,I note a previous reviewer complained bitterly about everything, saying the pool was dirty (but seemed to spend enough time in it!) It was not dirty it was actually very clean! Likewise with the “inedible disgusting food” but again managed to consume enough of it from what we saw! As for the rooms they are basic but clean and comfortable, ( thanks to the hard working cleaning ladies) with a hot shower and our fabulous sea view , on which we enjoyed a glass of wine every evening, The previous “unhappy reviewer” was just along the hall from us, so not quite sure why their room was so bad! No pleasing some people I guess! To sum up this hotel is a complete bargain for everything you get. Highly recommend it it and hope to come back again next summer. Thank for making our first trip to Greece a wonderful experience full of happy memories, we don’t want to leave😭

We spent a week at this place, but wished we had never booked it. The rooms are of a very poor standard (Substandard is probably an appropriate description). It’s not really a hotel, but a number of separate buildings with rooms in. The rooms are very old and decrepit and the beds in our room were hard and very uncomfortable. The photos on the website are not a true depiction of the reality of this place. It’s been left in the 1970’s and still has the original furniture crying out to be put out of its misery. Curtains are paper thin and frayed, definitely a throwback to 70’s. There are steps wherever you go in the compound, we had to negotiate 53 steps to get from the entrance to our room, so we would not recommend to anyone with mobility issues, We met several elderly inmates who said they had not been made aware of the sheer number of steps everywhere. There are no hand rails anywhere which would be illegal in the UK and the outside areas became very slippy & dangerous when wet. There is no restaurant at this place, they only have 4 old tables in a small mezzanine above the food area which inmates have to fight for when it rains (as it did). All other tables are outside, which is great if the weather is fine, but during our stay we had wind and torrential rain which flooded the whole area. The food quality is substandard at best and the so called hot offerings were always cold with nothing to keep it hot.(Oh, there is a microwave on a table which pleads with you to use it. The problem for us was that most of the food on display resembled leftovers before it got to the plate. There are no staff in the food area to help serve or clear. You have to clear your own tables and scrape your own plates in a big flip top dustbin . Even if you wanted to complain about the food, there’s nobody to complain to. I’m guessing all the staff hide at mealtimes because they’re scared of being overwhelmed by inmates complaining about the regurgitated leftovers. We actually ate out nearly every evening to avoid facing the ordeal. We couldn’t understand why this place had a 4.5 rating , but having looked more closely, it became clear that many of the good reviews were not genuine and many so called reviewers only had one contribution . We also noticed that photos added on recent reviews were not up to date, but were obviously taken in a previous life of this hostel when it may have had something good to offer. We never expected this place would be the Savoy, but the basics of cleanliness, safety and edible food should be a human right, shouldn’t they?

Amazing friendly hotel in Agia Pelagia with nice views. Myself, my wife and 1 year old boy have had an amazing stay at Pelagia Bay. Yanis and Lucy at the front of house, with Stefanos and Marinos, were absolutely incredible at welcoming us every day and providing all kinds of information. Nothing was too much for this lovely team. Lots of steps in the hotel so probably not best suited to those with mobility impairments, and it is at the top of a big hill. It only takes 10 minutes to walk down into the town, but takes around 15 walking back up. There is a baby pool for children as well as a bigger pool for adults. The food in the hotel is nice with lovely seating areas both inside and outside.

We arrived mid afternoon, our room was ready and Yannis helped us with our cases up and down several flights of stairs. We were given a welcome drink. Both Yannis & Lucy in reception, were very welcoming. Our room (E27) had a sea view which we had not specifically booked, a balcony with 2 chairs & table & airer with pegs. The room was spacious & included a wardrobe with mirrored doors, hanging space & drawers and a few hangers. There was a dressing table with drawers but no nearby socket & bedside tables with sockets & lights. My hairdryer wouldn’t reach the dressing table, so I had to dry my hair using the socket by the bathroom & mirror on wardrobe door. There was a tiny fridge with freezer box. A kettle, 2 small teacups, 2 glasses. & 4 teabags provided. We had to move the kettle to the floor to use, as there was only 1 socket for the fridge. The curtains aren’t blackout, so we were awake by 6 in the morning, lots of birds singing & Greek dogs greeting the morning! The bed was very hard, and I struggled to sleep all week, but my husband, didn’t have a problem with it, which shows how reviews can vary from person to person for the same things. We had a sheet, a bed cover & 4 pillows. Plus several blankets stored above the wardrobe. There was also a small single bed made up, but not used. The bathroom was very small, the toilet seat was wobbly. The shower cubicle was very small, with a wrap around shower curtain ( quite literally!) I struggled daily to wash my hair, shower & shave my legs! I also burnt myself several times on the hot tap. As the week went on I devised easier ways but usually soaking the floor in the process. Again my husband, didn’t seem to have the same issues as me, and seemed to manage quite adequately! There was plenty of hot water at all times but it took a while to run hot. The room was serviced daily, clean sheets a couple of times, and clean towels almost everyday. Sadly when we arrived the room was quite dusty, particularly under the bed & bedside tables, & on shelves & ledges. I think it was possibly the first time it had been used this season. We had several stairs to climb to our room which was on 2nd floor. Breakfast was good, with a fair selection each day, including fruit, ham, mini sausage, cheese, cereals, eggs, olives, tomatoes, preserves, fresh breads & butter, ( which later in the week turned to packet white bread & spread) chocolate pies, croissants, spinach pie & cake. Tea & coffee & fruit squash. Some things changed daily, but there was always a good selection. We had booked half board with EasyJet at a ridiculously low price, so wasn’t expecting anything special. So we can’t say we were really disappointed. If you had paid more, you may be dissatisfied. Almost everyday there was a selection of plain pasta, boiled potatoes, mash or chips, rice with peas & sweetcorn. A white fish & a meat/ chicken option. One night a
