Comfotel Prpl

A nice budget hotel located very close to Westfield shopping centre. The front desk people were super helpful, Jamal ,Zubeer and Aline from housekeeping as well. Rooms above the basement are decent and cosy.

The room had the most unbearable smell, Like Glue. Was full and could not move me. had to sleep with a makeshift mask on. 2nd night luckily moved to bearable room. Never again.

We arrived just after check-in had opened and checked in at Euro hotel next door. After sitting waiting while he dealt with which room we would be in he told us we were on the second floor. We entered the hotel and walked up the four flights of stairs to our room. What we walked in was rank, there was stains all over the carpet, the duvet and bed sheets had marks and stains on them, the fridge hadn't been cleaned and the shower and sink were filthy and full of someone elses hair. There is a huge gap between the bed and the wall so when trying to lean against the wall to sit on bed you end up falling down the gap. We got ready and went to see a show locally and returned and turned on the TV to be greated by a fuzzy picture and audio discription which you couldn't turn off. The doors don't fit properly so you get the light from the hallway streaming through not to mention the noise from the cars, shouting and arguments going on outside all night long. The emergency vehicles also with their blues and twos on was really annoying. The fan had no front which made it really dangerous and the beds were so uncomfortable that I choose to lay on the floor instead of the bed. It really hasn't been a very pleasent for the cost.

Everything was very dirty, the headboard was coming apart and shead plastic all over the pillow while sleeping, showerhead was clogged, black mold and pink mold in bathroom, loud noises from ajoining rooms, tiny insects from dirty surroundings and an exterminator came to “check for mice” but at least it had a small loudly humming fridge

Our stay at this hotel was far from the best. We stayed Fri-Mon and while the beds and room were clean, our neighbours in the room next to us (14, we were 13) were allowed to party LOUDLY into the earliest hours in the morning. 4:30am might I add! We asked politely for them to keep the noise down only to be ignored. We contacted the reception and a gentleman came up to tell them off but this did not work and the partying continued. Saturday night was the same except now other rooms were complaining. Sunday night was the only night ANY of our party managed to get some sleep. Not to mention there was black mould in our room. When mentioned to the person in reception who we thought was the manager all we got was him tutting and saying “I’m sorry this happened, we did have reports of noisy people in 14, did you report this to the manager”. We reported it to reception at the time of the noise complaint but the man in reception on Monday morning did not seem to care and asked to send an email. Did not give me an email at all to send this in. We will not be staying here again.

Two nights, NO Heating. Bathroom or bed. NO HOT WATER. Noisy family from hell next door. Appalling. One socket not working. Light by bed not working.
