I was looking forward to stay in this hotel, since it looked beautiful and elegant from the photos and had some great reviews as well. When we arrived my excitement was quickly changed in a disappointment. Our taxi driver that picked us up was a lovely local young lady, that worked with the hotel and she kind of warn us about the hotel prior dropping us off. We were greeted by very unfriendly customer service at the front desk and went to have lunch to wait till our room was ready. The food was actually pretty tasty and fresh, unfortunately the restaurant stuff was one of the most unfriendly and arrogant kind of employees I ever met in a high end establishment. They were acting as if they were doing us a favor by serving us, did not smile and looked very unhappy and uneasy. I’m pretty sure that it’s the management that is probably not training and treating their employees properly and it reflects on their attitude. The whole ambiance of this place was like staying in some old british country club, or nursing home not a tropical island destination Nobody informed us about any activities, spa services, water sports or anything. There was no music playing anywhere and it just felt so dull and boring. Grounds are rather small and it feels crowded, there is not much to see or do. One small pool for many people, I haven’t even used it. The room was nice, kind of outdated, but comfortable, beds and linen was good quality. Nice gardens, decent beach. Snorkeling was not spectacular either, death coral, some fish. Dinner was okay, not a big selection, but tasty. There was a dress code for men and woman, so please don’t forget to bring your trousers and tie to sit by the beach in a tropical heat to have your dinner served by team of sad people on a pink suit with a bow. The only nice thing about this hotel was the historic look and semi nice decor. Will never come back or recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s definitely overpriced, unprofessionally managed establishment. There are many more places to choose from in the area.

There’s only one Cobbler’s Cove! We absolutely loved our time there and it was great for the adults and the teenagers alike. Delicious food, stunning beach and sunsets and the most beautiful place to be. They also have the best tennis coach I’ve ever had and wonderful staff. It is intimate, charming and the cocktails are the best! It’s probably not for people who want a massive impersonal hotel, but for the discerning traveler, I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Loved the very second!

We recently stayed at Cobbler’s Cove and are returning visitors to the island. Manager Joanna greeted us on arrival and we were offered cold towels and a lovely rum punch, which was lovely. The suites are generously large, well equipped and well proportioned. The entire place was meticulously clean and tidy, and it was evident that all staff take a lot of pride in the hotel and gardens also. After booking we were a little concerned over some poor reviews for such a premium hotel, but happy to report that there was no need to worry. The laid back relaxed vibe was exactly what we’d hoped for, food and service was excellent, except there were some ‘hiccups’ at breakfast over service, which were quickly resolved and we laughed off being on holiday and Bajan time anyway. There were some particularly helpful staff worth noting, some were great fun to be around too. Special thanks to Gregory, AJ, Pearson, Virgil, Rawle & Ricky. Swimming pool was nice but a little small, but to be honest we spent most days swimming / snorkelling in the sea, including swimming with the local turtles 🐢 neat the breakwater just off the beach. Complimentary afternoon tea was also very popular in the pavilion. Also complimentary was 30mins speedboat ride daily, which needs to be booked in advance and we used to also access other local beaches for a change. Some guests do seem to reserve sunbeds with towels fairly early mornings, but that said, this was not regularly abused and we always found a sunbed with ease when we wanted to The gardens are beautiful and well tended, You also have a wide array of wildlife in these gardens, from hummingbirds, land crabs, mongoose and a troup of green monkeys. Cocktails were really lovely (and also potent, so be warned, particularly the notorious “cobblers cooler”, with added giggles included. The location is absolutely stunning and fabulous, and only a short walk into Speightstown along the beach. We absolutely loved our stay which thoroughly recharged our batteries. A nice touch was the mosquito repellent and plug-in device for mosquitoes in the rooms, but the time of year we went these were not really any issue. The hotel is an absolute gem and a credit to the efforts of Joanna and her whole team.

Having just returned from a 10 night stay at Cobblers Cove we wanted to write our review whilst it was is still fresh in our minds. We've been to Barbados many times over the past 10 years staying at a number of different properties on the beautiful west coast. This was our first time staying at CC and it certainly won't be our last, we had a wonderful time. On arrival, check in was made so easy. Greeted with a cold towel and offer of a drink, which is always welcome after a long day of travelling. No delay in being taken to our room, luggage already there waiting allowing us to get settled in. Loved the fact that we didn't need to do all the check in paperwork right away and simply went down to reception to complete it the following day once we'd had a good nights sleep. The hotel is smaller than most with only 40 rooms and has loads of island charm, from the lovely artwork to the stunning gardens. Our room was spacious, clean, had great aircon and completely charming - we were very comfortable. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis as we like to enjoy the local restaurants for lunch and dinner when on the island. Breakfast whilst relaxing in the waterfront restaurant was a real treat each morning. The chefs use a lot of local produce and most food items are homemade or freshly squeezed in the case of the juices. They offer a selection of pastries, yogurts and fruits and then a choice off a menu for hot food meaning everything was fresh prepared to order. We ate dinner in the restaurant and had bar food a couple of times during our stay, both were good. But with loads of choices of great restaurants within a short taxi ride we ate out most of the time. There were plenty of sunbeds if you weren't too bothered about being on the front of the terrace, all had thick foam padding with covers and were comfortable for a day of relaxing. One very slight criticism would be that bar service to your sunbed, poolside service, was hit and miss in that most of the time you had to go to the bar and order. Also just check your bill during happy hour, a number of times we were charged the wrong price during this time - as we said just a slight criticism and not really an issue as the over charges were sorted. Housekeeping were excellent, never intrusive and the nightly turn down with the shortbread biscuits and iced water was a nice touch. Reception were extremely friendly and helpful and couldn't fault them. One evening a taxi we had booked ourselves didn't arrive to take us to our dinner reservation, reception rang the restaurant to confirm we were still coming and arranged a taxi for us quickly, very efficient service. Could write lots more about our experience that previous reviewers have already said, in short we had a wonderful stay at Cobblers Cove and we'd definitely recommend.

Cobblers Cove is a gorgeous hotel! The grounds are lovely and I especially loved that everything is pink and the architecture was traditional which we really liked! Our stay was lovely although we are probably biased in that we spent the first half of our trip at Coral Reef and couldn't fault it, so we felt ourselves comparing everything to that! Upon arrival, we were greeted very warmly with a refreshing towel and a welcome rum punch, setting a positive tone for our stay. All of the staff were lovely and welcoming, showing us around the grounds and making us feel at home. The room was very spacious, with a separate living and kitchen area, a large bed, and a gorgeous bathroom with lovely pink *****ed robes. However, one main concern for us was that it didn't have properly closed windows and doors, just blinds/shutters. This meant that mosquitoes could get in, and it was very loud at night with the tropical animals & people moving around in the morning which ended up keeping us up. I know that the hotel does have some rooms with fully closed doors/windows so I spoke to the staff about moving but they were fully booked unfortunately. To be fair to the staff, they did everything in their power to help mitigate the issue, they immediately had maintenance come and fit a mosquito net and provided lots of repellent and mosquito plugs. However, the noise did impact our stay a lot - perhaps there should be a note when you book those rooms that they aren't fully closed off so that guests can choose a different room based on those things if they want to? The beach was amazing, and we were lucky enough to see three turtles when snorkelling about 10 meters from the shore. The sun loungers were comfortable, and the complimentary ice water, cold face towels, and sorbet brought to us during the day were an amazing touch! As much as we love a boutique hotel compared to a sprawling all inclusive, Cobbler's small size meant that we could hear everyone's conversations around the pool area which interrupted the relaxation. This might have just been because we had some loud guests causing issues around us but I'd recommend staying elsewhere if you want somewhere quite quiet and spacious as the pool and lounging area felt quite cramped for the price you're paying. The cocktails were amazing - best pina coladas we had & the food was good - we ate out at restaurants most nights so can't really comment on the dinner but the live music in the evenings around the bar was a lovely touch! Breakfast was a bit of a shambles. One day we were left waiting for an hour for our food, which was just French toast and poached eggs and it wasn't even busy, and sometimes we would be left standing for a while waiting to be seated when there were tons of free, clean tables. A lot of guests around us were complaining about the wait because all hot food is made to order and buffet items were limited to fruits and yoghurt. We overheard the people next to us waiting for an hour and a hal

After being a little uninspired by recent trips to the island, Cobblers Cover has helped us fall in love with Barbados all over again. Beautiful rooms, terrific staff and some exceptional food will mean we will be sure to return. Thanks for a fab holiday.

This is far and away the best and most luxurious hotel I have ever been to. It is a dream of a place, makes you feel like you are living on clouds. Slim Aarons glam, delicious strong cocktails and salsa dancing – I would give it twelve stars if I could.

We spent 7 glorious nights at Cobblers Cove and can't wait to return. From the attentive staff, the lush, beautiful gardens and the charming rooms right by the ocean, my husband and I have never felt so relaxed and looked after. The free afternoon tea and watersports didn't hurt either, along with the Manager's cocktail party, where Joanna and her team ensured that we had an enjoyable evening. We did venture into Holetown, which is about a 15 minute taxi ride away and found that it is good for shopping at the local mall and had a few small shops in the area, which sold souvenirs to bring home with us. We will definitely be back!

This was the second time I stayed at Cobblers Cove and it was more magic than ever. Our bedroom was charming and right next to the beach, and I loved sitting on our little balcony secluded by beautiful vegetation watching the sun set. The food was fresh and delicious and the cocktails were second to none. The staff were brilliant - they really went above and beyond to make sure my friend and I felt individually cared for with all attention to detail. They took me and my friend out every day in Cobblers' beautiful pink boat to learn to waterski. They even organised salsa classes for us, and a picnic on the South Coast! The gardens are fantastic and the gardener is incredibly knowledgeable and can tell you all about all the local plants. Thank you to all the staff and I hope to be back very very soon.
