Eos Hotel

Reasonable and convenient tour stop accommodations. Nice desk staff - polite and efficient. Continental breakfast was good with nice choice pastries, cold cuts, yogurt, egg, and a nice selection of fresh fruit. Cappuccino was very tasty and served table side. Hallways are dark and overly scented with room freshener. Room was a bit tired decor-wise but the bed was comfortable. I couldn’t really give more stars because the bathroom was kind of ick. It didn’t seem clean - especially the shower and there weren’t enough towels. It looks like it needs an update. Area around hotel is a bit downtrodden but it was a short walk to the city center.

Stayed two nights at this hotel while on a tour. It was lovely, clean, comfy and good location. Breakfast was contintal good choices. Being English like a kettle and English channels on TV. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would stay again.

The room was a good size and included a refrigerator and tea making facilities. The good sized ensuite was well appointed with complimentary toiletries. Breakfast is served from 7 to 10 and had an excellent variety of food.

I stayed here as it was an assigned hotel for my tour group visiting Apuglia. 4 stars instead of 5 simply because I thought it was a bit too far out of the historical center for my taste (20+ minute walk) and because of a quirk in the room layout; that being that there are no side tables or shelves next to the bed, on which to place a glass of water or your cellphone at night. There is a desk and shelves AROUND the room, but nothing next to the bed; also there is only one outlet on only one side of the bed for your phone/alarm clock in the morning. I had to place mine on the floor next to the bed. There is a small carpeted area around the bed (the rest is tile flooring of some sort) which was discoloured and looked quite dirty, as though they never hoovered this area. Everything else in the room was very clean, and the bathroom tiles were ingenious—“scratched” so as to not be slippery when you stepped out of the shower, which was also spacious enough. Very nice. The bed was fine as were the pillows. Strange, very “modern” artwork throughout the hotel and in rooms. I stayed solo in #101. There is a nice rooftop terrace on the 4th floor that no one tells you is there, and even though there is no view to speak of, it’s pleasant if you’d like to have a coffee with a morning ciggie. The staff is very friendly, and there were adequate choices for brekky, with made-to-order coffees and teas brought to your table. Overall, a very nice, modern hotel. No “character” or “Italian charm,” but often hotels which boast those features are QUITE quirky and not always comfortable. I would not book this hotel on my own for reasons stated, but I don’t have major complaints that I was placed here.

We stayed here while on a small group tour. We loved Lecce and Skei enjoy our 2 nights at this hotel. It’s an easy walk to the old town and we had a decent sized room which was very dark at night👍 We enjoyed our own drinks on the rooftop terrace and the kind staff provided us with glasses.

We booked to stay here in December 2021. We’ve had no contact really since the confirmation which is typical when you book somewhere, you wouldn’t contact them unless you have an issue. We’re due to fly out tonight (28th may 2022) and we’ve been emailing this place the last week or so to try pay before arrival. The woman who owns this has been so inconsiderate and rude, she has given our accommodation to another couple because ‘we didn’t contact her since booking’. When we asked her did she try to contact us she admitted she didn’t. She kept making up excuses for why she had double booked, saying ‘we didn’t pay yet’ and when we asked her did she ever ask us to pay or send any details to make payment to, she also admitted she didn’t. She kept saying it ‘wasn’t her problem’. We’re now due to arrive in the next 24 hours and have been left with no accommodation. This is extremely disappointing for us. Just want to warm anybody before booking the Villa Eos in the Amalfi coast, Italy.

The EOS lives up to its three-stars. It is decorated with modernist photos, many of which explore the limestone quarry roots of the Salento. EOS functions: the lobby is spare, a waiting and gathering area rather than a public space in which to linger. Breadfast buffet is served -- albeit by friendly staff -- but again basics: no hot items, nothing to order. Our room was functional; I understand every room is different -- intentional subordination of operations to style. Operations and empathy for guests' needs are not all one would want. The COVID-slump in travel probably explains overdue deep cleaning and deferred maintenance. :Location is neither here or there -- a rather scruffy neighborhood without distinction a good 20 minute walk to gate to old town, the heart of Lecce's attraction.
