The staff, the hotel, the room, the gardens, the breakfast buffet in the charming stable...it was all exceptional. Our room was the one pictured and it was beautifully done, lovingly restored and the bed was so comfortable. The windows open so you can hear the harbor sounds all night long. The bathroom was very nice and the shower was a delight. Highly recommend staying in this lovely spot!

Due to circumstances we had to cancel our booking the day before our arrival. The next day, our situation had changed and we asked the hotel if we could come anyway. The hotel never answered our messages and neither our call. Booking asked the hotel for courtesy which they also never responded to. They charged us the full amount of the booking. Sad.

Vi besøkte venner i Kragerø og satte pris på å finne et spennende overnattingssted i sentrum. 250 år gammelt hus var tilpasset bruk som hotell på en fantastisk måte. Det er vist respekt for bygningen og man får en helt spesiell følelse av å komme inn fra vinterkulde til modere komfort mellom 250 år gamle vegger, Resepsjonen stilte opp og gave fantastisk service. Her er det ikke heis, ballbinge eller egen parkering men det var ikke det vi søkte.

Fantastisk hotell og enda bedre personale. Super service. Et nydelig hotell med skikkelig egenart. Eneste jeg har noe å utsette på et frokosten. Helt ok, men savnet litt større utvalg…

Meget dyktig utført restaurering av gammelt bygg Tollboden! Og ikke minst smakfullt og interiørmessig på øverste hylle. Det ligger i detaljene, og her er alt gjennomtenkt. Nydelig rom, senger og bad. Bakhagen perfekt lounge følelse og nydelig grønn oase. God frokost, men påfylling av det som ble tomt kunne vært bedre. Service forøvrig var helt top notch! Jeg skulle ønske at et så nydelig overnattingssted valgte norske badeprodukter i stedet for franske (som jeg også tipset om), det er vel det eneste jeg har å utsette :-)
So when in Kragerø, this is the place!
