I'm not sure why so many negative reviews, but our stay was good enough to stay a second night. We are a family of 2 with 2 small dogs, due to mobility issues we require ground floor, pet friendly room and smoking is a bonus. We were trying to stay out of the Farmville motels because of prices and reputation, Sheldon's was affordable. Sheldon's looks kind of dumpy from the outside and bedspreads are dated, but looks are not what is important for us. With 11 years in various positions in motels, we know what what to look for in a room and this was fine with no bug, cleanliness or major maintenance issues( bathroom light flashed ). I was pleasantly surprised with the hot shower. The internet was just ok and the restaurant was closed when we stayed July 17 & 18, 2023. I will definitely stay here when I visit my daughter again.
