«Hideout Room was amazing! We loved all areas, especially the jacuzzi tub, which kept the water warm at all times—so relaxing. We stayed to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and the hotel made it truly unforgettable. «Fácil de encontrar. Control fácil y suave en proceso. Qué decoración. Ascensor a todos los pisos. Grandes habitaciones. El hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad. La única queja fue que el duche no era tan poderoso como nos gustaría y las tablas eran muy turbias para que podamos oír a la gente arriba a la noche y también cuando corren sus tapices. 15 libras por noche para estacionar nuestro vehículo. Comprobar rápida y eficazmente. El personal es muy conocido y útil.»

«What a lovely hotel. The room was lovely and a good size, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were a little disappointed that the room was right by the lift and so was a little noisy at busy times but somebody has to be there.  We did have a problem with the toilet seat being broken but once we informed them it was repaired in under two hours. Also mentioned the noisy room and they did offer for us to move but we had unpacked for a three night stay so decided we didn’t want to pack everything up again.  The pool was lovely and although small was just big enough. It does get busy at times so do book ahead for gym and pool. The gym had enough equipment in it for a quick workout so we found it good enough.  We didn’t eat in the restaurant so cannot comment on the food but the staff were very friendly and always helpful. We would definitely stay again. »

«Esta es mi primera reserva de hotel con Trip y debo decir que al principio tenía mis dudas sobre si se procesaría. Por suerte, el hotel recibió la confirmación. Solo tuve que decirle mi apellido a la recepcionista y pudieron localizarme en su sistema. Nos ofrecieron galletas de cortesía, que estaban riquísimas. La cama de la habitación doble era más pequeña de lo esperado, pero aun así era suficiente para dos adultos. Las habitaciones no están muy insonorizadas, así que se oyen los coches de la calle si te toca la que da a la ciudad. Pero si no eres muy sensible al ruido, es tolerable. El gimnasio, abierto las 24 horas, estaba bastante bien equipado para su capacidad. Tenían toallas, toallitas desinfectantes y dispensador de agua. El desayuno del hotel también estuvo muy bien. El restaurante tenía una buena vista. En general, ¡la estancia fue una ganga! Volvería a usar Trip.com.»

UUsuario invitadoGreat hotel and very close to town and train station. Superb staff very polite, respectful and friendly. Breakfast was also good. However it’s usually very busy in the mornings so being a wheelchair user it was very difficult to get a suitable tablet. However one of the staff members did come to my help but it was a little bit late. Non dairy milk was also provided but being self service the wait was quite long and I ended up leaving without any hot drink. The room also didn’t have a window and it was also a bit small to manoeuvre my wheelchair. Bed was comfortable but the air conditioning kept coming on which was not good for my health.

The apartment was spotlessly clean with everything we needed, and felt secure in the lovely courtyard. We extended our stay as we felt so at home there. There looked to be a secure left luggage store which we may have used if we’d seen it earlier. Would be useful to have info about this in the apartment info pack. There is some noise from the street for apartment 7, partly from early deliveries to Thermae Spa which is directly opposite, and also from people wandering through the echoey passageways at night. We got used to it by the end of our stay, but light sleepers might prefer one of the inward facing apartments.

UUsuario invitadoThe hotel is an incredible building which must take some maintenance. We booked a double room for one night and arrived at lunchtime with the intention of sightseeing in bath for a couple of days. The hotel was happy for us to park all day both days which was great. The check in process (after 3pm) was very easy and we had a very clean room with plenty of towels, 2 robes and slippers for the spa/pool. The double room had a king size bed which was very comfortable. The hotel pool was crowded and looking a little tired but was as expected. The outside heated pool was very nice and relaxing. We didn’t have any spa treatments or use the gym but both looked well kept and the gym had good modern equipment. We didn’t eat in the restaurant preferring to find a restaurant in bath itself. Breakfast was a bit of a chaotic affair with several hotel staff doing various jobs with no apparent coordination. The wait for a table, then coffee was long and then we had to wait again to order breakfast. The whole process of breakfast took well over an hour which is poor. It was clear that there was no clear process as some tables were getting their cooked breakfast before us even though we were taken to our table 30 mins before them. The little waiter man with his paper pad was a bit useless. When the ‘full English’ breakfast came it was a small plate of well cooked food but not really as described in the menu. In terms of portion size it was more like a kids breakfast. We weren’t served any toast either and had to ask for it unlike other tables who received it with their drinks order which seemed a bit weird. The continental buffet was a bit scarce with no bowls or spoons so we had to use our fruit juice glasses for the yogurt and fruit. The whole thing could be improved with a breakfast buffet under a hot plate if they haven’t got enough staff to serve it.

UUsuario invitadoCentral location helps to overcome the cramped feeling staying in the annexe. The car was parked at the other end of town and drop off was difficult to say the least but it is what it is. I had no reason whatsoever to check out the main building reception, breakfast area perhaps a bar and lounge area too because nothing pointed me there! So generally, it was a room in a loft space built to an ”average” measure. I never like shower cubicles where I tend to bang elbows and worry about breaking something when I drop the soap. Breakfast price was horrendous so no inclination to walk in on the hop to check it out for the 2 nights stayed. I felt detached, cramped and in a bed-sit like accommodation. It is what it is.

UUsuario invitadoThe hotel all in all is very good. Clean, polite staff and location is perfect. Parking will have to be in the public parking around the corner which is about £20 for a day. Online it said the hotel offers halal food but once we got there they said they aren't sure they do it. The staff also informed us that we wouldn't be able to eat at the restaurant that day because they were booked for a function, but we feel this should've been communicated beforehand by email etc. Other than this I think this hotel is the best in the area and is very classy and welcoming.

The only shirtcoming is we had to drive into the city for dinner as we wanted something different from what the hotel restaurant provided. Apart from the location, we were happy with our stay.

LLiam and JennyAttended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. UUsuario invitadoPositive - excellent receptionist (Vipin) and without his help I would probably have check out early. Has parking. Reasonable location and access to the central Bath. Has a electric kettle and a package of cookies. No tan positivos - En la necesidad de desesperadamente mejora, creciendo pisos, lavado fuera del baño.
