We initially chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station and its recent opening. The drive up the narrow mountain road, full of sharp turns, was a bit unsettling for our city Didi driver, so we were secretly relieved (as was our driver) when we finally arrived. At first glance, the hotel seemed quite simple, and I wasn’t entirely sure I had made the right choice. However, any lingering doubts were quickly washed away by the warm welcome from Derek, the hotel manager, and the staff. When we got to our room, it was pure joy! The minimalist design is visually soothing, and the balcony with its expansive mountain views made us feel like just hanging around and doing nothing was more than enough. If you're the kind of traveler who feels guilty about not doing anything, rest assured that the hotel is in a beautiful section of the mountain. There's a lovely old temple and a sacred spring pond nearby—Zhongfeng Temple and Shenshui Pavilion, I believe. You’ll also enjoy the energy of hikers rushing up and down the mountain. There are enough people to make it lively but not overwhelmingly crowded like Leidongping or Jinding, where the crowds can be exhausting. A special mention goes to Derek, who exceeded all our expectations. His kindness and professionalism reminded me of the kind of service you expect from a six-star hotel, where every need is anticipated. Derek went above and beyond, making our journey to Golden Summit and onward to Leshan much smoother and more enjoyable. Since we speak minimal Chinese, he kindly helped us communicate with the next hotel, explaining how to get there. He even offered us a free ride to the bus station when we struggled to find a Didi in the area. Derek also helped arrange our transfer to Leshan. We were incredibly impressed and grateful for his assistance. If I had to suggest one area for improvement, I’d say the dinner options could use some enhancement to match the overall excellence of the stay. A small tip: If your goal is to catch the sunrise and sunset at Golden Summit, you'll need to stay at one of the mountaintop hotels near Jinding. Logistically, getting to these hotels involves taking a bus from Baoguosi or Wuxiangang Station to Leidongping, then a cable car to the upper platform, followed by a roughly one-hour hike with steep steps to Jinding. It's manageable with a backpack, but not ideal with large luggage. That’s why we chose Pure Cloud Hotel for its close proximity to Wuxiangang Bus Station, leaving our luggage there and heading up the mountain with just our backpacks.

¡Xiao Zhou y sus colegas nos ofrecieron un servicio excepcional durante nuestra estancia de una noche en el hotel! The good: - the location is fantastic with lots of hiking nearby and easy to get to the buses for Mt. Emei - the staff are very friendly The bad: - the hotel is definitely looking tired and dated: chipped woodwork in the rooms, flaking paint on the balcony. - only one of the many bars is open. Everytime we wanted to order something we were shown a huge menu, only to then be told most things were not available - this included wines, beers and food. - the hotel was incredibly quiet with the restaurant and bar being completely empty most of the time we were there. Whilst not the hotel’s fault, it dead mean a complete lack of atmosphere. - various items were listed as included when booking with Trip.com - none of them were available or in fact included. - when advise was needed from reception: the information given was often not accurate. The staff were wonderfully friendly, they just did not seem to have accurate information or to check it. Overall: this was the most expensive hotel booked during my three week tour of China and the most disappointing. I would unfortunately not recommend, especially in low season.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, cuenta con instalaciones completas, un desayuno abundante y un servicio excelente. Antes de mi llegada, la gerente de atención al cliente, Xiao Ma, se puso en contacto conmigo con antelación para informarme sobre todo, ofreciéndome directamente una habitación privada con aguas termales y organizando un servicio de transporte desde y hacia la estación. ¡Magnífico! ¡Muy recomendable!

Está muy cerca de la estación de Emeishan y de la calle de restaurantes. Las habitaciones son espaciosas y limpias, el agua termal es bastante limpia y no hay mucha gente. Es ideal para quienes quieran descansar después de bajar de la montaña y tomar el tren a la mañana siguiente. El desayuno es bastante bueno.

El servicio en general fue muy bueno. Al momento del check-in, la ama de llaves (Zhang Qian) agregó el servicio personalizado en WeChat. La respuesta de servicio de la señora fue muy oportuna y considerada. Cuando salimos por la noche, ella también hizo los arreglos para que nos entregaran el refrigerio de medianoche del hotel en la habitación. ¡La ama de llaves también preparó una pequeña sorpresa al momento del check out! El desayuno del hotel también es muy bueno. La hora de recogida de las comidas es a las 10 en punto y, cuando todavía hay huéspedes cenando, no se recogen todas las comidas a tiempo, lo que sin duda aporta una buena experiencia a los huéspedes. Después del desayuno, hay un parque infantil cerca. Estaba lloviendo, así que las actividades en el interior fueron perfectas. Fue un viaje feliz y vendré aquí a menudo en el futuro. This is not a 4 or 5 start resort. It’s a 5 star room down the river. The restaurant was closed when we were there, so called gym does not exist at all, swimming pool is small like a pond and the bigger one is for kids. There is no garden or anything that covers the road and the bridge you can hear easily while staying down the swimming pool. The big bonus is the bathroom- big and modern exactly like on the picture and the spring water hot tub that works well and can create a great time during the night as you can hear the river. Light system is amazing. You can find any light that you need to set up a mood. People are very nice and friendly. The front desk does not have ‘ business card’ and location of the hotel was written down on a paper. Really little things that shows this place has a potential but not in the current set up. You can’t lock the room door when you are not inside- only the garden gate. Who would design such a thing? I know it’s a safe destination but still. There is no safe either. People create this place special but it does not meet a high standard resort score.
