Altonlea Lodge

To say we were treated so very very well, is not an exaggeration. We were taken and welcomed into such a beautiful home by the lovely owner. The room we moved into was so gorgeous. A kingsize COMFORTABLE mattress was such a treat to sleep on. The pillows and duvet were so wonderful, I had te remind myself we’re honest people and don’t steal. Beautiful bedding and decor and so quiet and peaceful, looking out into the Lovely garden through our large glass door. Water, wine glasses, coffees and tea laid out for us on a table/desk in the spacious room. Going into breakfast was a five star experience. The omelette and rest of the breakfast was superb. Cooked to perfection by Lee. So so so accommodating. There was also a little kitchenette looking out over the garden where we had elevensies and liked to play Rummicub at the beautiful table in there. Our room was cleaned and pristine. Such a wonderful history about the home, which he was happy to tell us about. Lee was so friendly and happy to chat when he was available. Perfectly situated on the beach front. (Across the road). We can truthfully say that it was one of the best guesthouses we’ve ever stayed in (and we’ve traveled a lot). Thankyou so much Lee and Mum for giving us such a wonderful memory to look back on. We shall definitely be back.

Excellent accommodation in every way. If I could give it 6 stars I would. The facility, our room, the breakfast, the gardens, the kitchen if you want to self-cater, the maid service, the internet, and Lee the proprietor went above and beyond the call of duty. Spent 8 days there.

Yet again a lovely stay in a really lovely B&B. The people make it. Spotlessly clean rooms with fabulous breakfasts and people who go out of their way to make your stay a great one. Well done Lee , Parents and Sheila. The B&B is perfectly placed in Seaton Carew for the promenade, Restaurants, pubs and all amenities.

Spent two nights here as part of a short break and it could hardly have been better. Very welcoming and friendly hosts; comfortable, clean room well stocked with tea, biscuits, toiletries etc; excellent breakfast choices cooked to order. Reasonably priced too.

I always get a lovely welcome when I stay here while visiting family. This month was my third or fourth visit and I know I will be back! The garden is a very relaxing spot to sit in with a G&T in the evening and the beach on the doorstep is great for walks.

A gem of a guest house in the centre of Seaton. Having stopped here previously, we had no hesitation in booking this week when we had to work in Hartlepool. Such a warm welcome from Lee on arrival. The property is very well presented, warm and comfortable. The garden area is so spotlessly clean and well manicured.

Loved my room bed so comfortable bedding so clean went to breakfast came back to my bed having been made nice surprise can’t fault this place Lea and Sheila so nice breakfast amazing and plentiful daughters wedding in June don’t need to look any further thank you forgot to mention beach across gorge road

We've just returned from a short break away in Seaton Carew, just south of Hartlepool. We booked bed and breakfast at the Altonlea Lodge Guest House, mainly because of its very close proximity to the sea front, intending it to be "just a base". Wow, we were both very pleasantly surprised! Our room was on the ground floor, with access to the lovely garden area. The bed was so comfortable - best night's sleep EVER! Breakfast was amazing. Our hosts, Ollie and Lee, couldn't do enough for us. We can heartily recommend this hotel.

Lee and everyone there made us feel so welcomed rooms very clean and tidy great facilities in the room we've stayed in other guest houses none of them compare to here best sleep we've ever had pillows and mattress to die for morning came to early but went for breakfast wow everything was cooked fresh stunning other guests all so said how good the breakfast was lee well done next time will book direct with you once again wow Many thanks John and Angie
