We have stayed here before a few years ago and had the best time. This time the experience was completely different and not what we would’ve expected from a 5 star resort. Upon arrival it was just me as my husband was still working and would not be joining me until five o’clock. My room had a view of the car park, the mini fridge had other peoples food in it. The bathroom was not clean as it should be. I am not one for complaining but at the price we paid to stay here I had to say something. We were moved and upgraded to an ocean view room which was very kind of Samantha she was a star. I had a complimentary drink while I had to wait on the room. We didn’t get into our room until after 5.30pm. I didn’t get time to use the facilities with the spa. Then in the morning we had orders breakfast to our room it was included in our stay. We received toast and coffee and tea. Along with two poached eggs. No Scottish breakfast for either of us. We immediately got dressed and left as it just ruined our stay. It wasn’t the experience we wanted. And from the hotel being five star it certainly didn’t feel that on our stay. I can’t fault the staff they were lovely. I just wish we had the stay we wanted for our anniversary.
