Crayfish Lodge is just wonderful and probably the best Guest House we have ever been lucky enough to stay in. Sandra, Reinhard and their team could not be more welcoming and seem to truly want you to have the best time. Rooms are spotless, complete with amazing views. Breakfasts are second to none - with delicious homemade jams and pickles. I cannot recommend more highly.

Absolutely stunning views. Staff was phenomenal and a seemingly endless breakfast. Only regret was not staying longer. If you’re in the area for shark cage diving this is a no-brainer of a place to stay. Definitely will come back.

Tucked away in a residential location is Crayfish Lodge, a hidden gem in De Kelders. Hosts Sandra & Reinhard were incredible, attentive and responsive from the time of booking until our departure. Crayfish Lodge is simply beautiful and the views from the main floor and upstairs rooms are breathtaking. Incredible breakfast selections and the cheese board platter is a must paired with local wines. One of the best facials I’ve ever had was experienced here too!! We very much appreciated the local knowledge and assistance with bookings and our 2 nights went by too quickly. Top notch hospitality and kindness. Huge thanks Sandra, Reinhard and Lillian !! We very much hope to be back!

Wonderful stay - Sandra and Reinhard were so friendly and helpful. Wonderful communication leading up to our stay and they even helped us set up a take out dinner so we could relax after a long day of travel. Cant say enough about the stay and their hospitality!

We had a wonderful stay at the Crayfish Lodge in Gaansbai in November 2023. We enjoyed our stay in the tastefully furnished Panorama Suite with a wonderful view of the sea in the excellently equipped guest house. The very friendly hosts treated us to a sumptuous, creative breakfast and provided us with all kinds of tips for excursions and dinner recommendations. We will definitely be back.

We had the warmest welcome on arrival at Crayfish lodge. The host and the staff were very attentive and responsive to our needs. We felt really at home. They even went far and beyond to ensure we had breakfast before checking out (we checked out very early in the morning). And the coolest thing: We were able to see Dolphins in the water from the balcony of our room

Sandra the host, is such a friendly woman. Her house is perfectly kept and the breakfasts are amazing. She feels concerned by the local people. And above all, the location is fabulous. All the rooms have a sea view. From there we can watch the wales and admire the beautiful landscapes. Very modern contemporary house

What a gem Crayfish Lodge and our hostess Sandra is. The attention to detail is wonderful and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I appreciated the numerous phone calls made to reserve dinner spots and whale watching activities for us. Very personalized service. Will highly recommend.

Beautiful location with superb views of the bay and the whales. The hosts and staff could not do enough for us. Helping organise restaurants and trips. Super rooms and lounge. Great breakfast with home made jams etc. We had the pleasure of staying an extra day as floods closed the roads back to Cape Town.
