El hotel está en una carretera principal. Así que fue inadmisible la noche. En los cuartos las ventanas con protección de muñecas eran muy estrechas. Desafortunadamente, en mis viajes, siempre he visto que los residuos de calcar en el sector sanitario no se eliminan, especialmente en las cabezas de ducha, cuyas aberturas se bloquean en algún momento, y hoy hay buenos limpiadores para mantener todo esto. En nuestras habitaciones no había conexión Wi-Fi durante nuestra estancia y tuvo que ir a la recepción si querías entrar en Internet en el teléfono móvil o portátil. El personal es muy amable y en algunas cosas muy cuidadoso. El desayuno, incluido el café de la máquina, fue bueno. Todos estaban en ello. Pero para eso, 9 euros me parecen absolutamente excesivos.

Si tienes que ir a Essen (y no me apresuraría), este hotel es una muy buena elección de valor. Las habitaciones son Ibis-como Ibis y perfectamente servibles. El personal fue amable y útil. La ubicación está muy cerca de la estación que es útil. El hotel está muy bien situado, pero no hay nada que pueda hacer. No quiero decir que su presencia sea incorrecta, pero algunos son un poco rudo/agresivo, gritando si no aceptan sus solicitudes.

El viejo hotel, las camas viejas, no hay cortinas en la habitación, pero los lamparas que ya no cierran. Muy oído, mucho ruido de tráfico, incluso con la ventana cerrada.

I stayed here for a month whilst working in Essen. Receptionist friendly helpful and spoke excellent English. I was upgraded to an executive room, which was dated but clean and spacious and included a fridge. I was thankful for the air conditioning as the weather was hot at the time of my stay but would have preferred a sheet instead of the thick quilt. Breakfast was the standard offering but a rip off at €21 - you get a far better and cheaper breakfast at similar hotels. There’s a bar and an evening menu but this wasn’t always open however when it was the barman was great to have a chat with and get some local knowledge. There’s power sockets by the bedsides and WiFi was good. Location is good being just a 5 min walk to the underwhelming and disappointing city centre. It’s also only a 5 min walk to the metro which offers great value and for a fee of €9, gets you anywhere, although this was during a summer promotion. As a resident you get access to a gym across the road. The house keeping was at times quite poor with surfaces not wiped down. Overall a convenient place to stay but in need of modernisation which I think is a possibility in the future.

Las habitaciones están bien equipadas también un poco lejos de la habitación típica. Mi habitación tenía WC y ducha separados, muy agradable. Pequeño Manco, un objeto olvidado 4 horas después de la CA, no se encontró en el cuarto, lo que es malo. No era tan pequeño. Las camas también son muy cómodas, todo en un hotel muy bueno.

Have spent more nights in premier inns that I can remember. Have used them in the UK for years. They're all pretty much the same (Zip and Hub aside of course) both of which I also like. The German offering is either aimed at a slightly higher niceness or are maybe just newer. Anyhoo, the rooms are nice. But. I've stayed at the Essen hotel before and the beds weren't great then and don't seem to have been replaced in the last year. The result is (my 2p) that the beds are too soft and when I sit on them, the springs bottom out and I can feel the base. It's not much better when trying to sleep. This is a bit weird as the ones in premier inns in the UK are excellent, to the point where I considered buying one of same type of mattresses/beds for home. This last weekend, the TV was Broken in the first room, so asked to move because the bed was rubbish. Bed also rubbish in second room. By the time I got to the third room I was too embarrassed to ask to move again but the bed thing isn't restricted to one room. Staff were good, the lady on reception was excellent even when facing an avalanche of customers as six pm approached. Overall, an average stay but the beds would mean I'll probably head to Dortmund and the Mercure next time.
