Lamentablemente nuestra estancia en el hotel no fue tan agradable como esperábamos. No, no se trata sólo del sistema de cierre defectuoso, que nos obligó a posponer nuestra salida dos horas porque ya no podíamos entrar a nuestra habitación. Este fue sólo uno de muchos inconvenientes. Habíamos elegido el hotel porque prometía un hamam y poco antes de nuestra llegada descubrimos que la apertura había sido pospuesta. Según nuestra reserva en ***********, se suponía que nuestra habitación incluiría lo siguiente: Ascensor - no funcionó Caja fuerte - no funcionó durante los primeros días, no nos informaron después de que se solucionó el problema fijado. Aire acondicionado, no funcionó, incluido el escape del inodoro. Cafetera y tetera - no disponible Minibar - vacío Albornoz y zapatillas - no disponibles Cuando planteamos esto en la recepción nos dijeron que estas cosas estaban planeadas pero que no estaban disponibles ahora. Entonces, ¿por qué se anuncian? Hubiera sido apropiado informarnos sobre esto con antelación. Además, el ruido de la construcción cerca de la piscina y el trabajo en la casa tampoco se correspondían con el nivel anunciado. Todo el personal fue muy amable y lo mejor que pudo. Pero, después de que un día no limpiaron nuestra habitación, pedimos que lo hicieran mientras estábamos fuera. Esto no sucedió. Nadie nos volvió a contactar al respecto. Nuestro último día empezó con un caos en el desayuno, luego no pudimos abrir la puerta de la habitación. Tomó media hora y otra solicitud nuestra para que el miembro del personal informara al gerente para resolver el problema. Mientras esperábamos una solución, mi compañero usó el único baño con cerradura en el área del vestíbulo (sí, solo uno). El pestillo de la puerta se atascó y no pudo abrir la puerta, así que presionó el botón de emergencia. Pude escuchar la alarma en el vestíbulo, ¡pero nadie del personal respondió! Nos gustó mucho el concepto y el diseño del hotel y esperamos que funcione en un par de meses… Pero sinceramente con esta enorme lista de incidencias lamentamos haber elegido este hotel. Le dimos estos comentarios al hotel hace un mes pero nunca obtuvimos respuesta.

¡Estamos muy contentos de haber encontrado este hermoso lugar en la salvaje costa oeste de Portugal! El estilo y el diseño se adaptan perfectamente al entorno, el encantador personal lo hace aún más perfecto. Todo el mundo es servicial y tiene una sonrisa en la cara. ¡La cocina en Onda es excepcional! Definitivamente volveremos :-)

Este hotel es realmente algo especial. En el momento en que entré por la puerta me recibieron con la más cálida bienvenida. Las chicas del mostrador no podrían haber hecho más. Inês hizo todo lo posible para que todo fuera realmente especial y perfecto. Desde reservar surf hasta yoga, traslados y taxis, nada fue demasiado complicado y quedé impresionado con el nivel de servicio. Hicimos que el gerente del hotel incluso nos llevara a cenar una noche. Realmente fueron más allá de lo que cabría esperar incluso en un hermoso hotel de este calibre. La decoración del hotel es impresionante. Muy fresco y elegante, y las vistas eran realmente impresionantes. Ni siquiera puedo encontrar las palabras para describir mi habitación. La forma en que entraba la luz en diferentes momentos del día era como una obra de arte. Tuve la suerte de probar de todo, desde yoga, pilates, surf, bicicletas eléctricas y masajes internos, y todas las personas con las que se han asociado para estos servicios definitivamente brindan el mismo cuidado y pasión genuinos por brindar la mejor experiencia posible. Me he alojado en muchos buenos hoteles, pero hay algo realmente mágico en este lugar. Con el corazón roto por irme, pero no puedo esperar para volver.

Upon entering the Aethos Ericeira Hotel, located on a former cliff farm on the west coast of Portugal, we were immediately greeted by an ambiance of understated luxury and comfort. This gem, nestled in the charming coastal town of Ericeira, embodies a refined escape from the hustle and bustle, with the gentle lapping of the Atlantic Ocean in the background as a constant melody. The architecture and interior, designed by Lisbon-based Pedra Silva Arquitectos together with Spanish design studio Astet, celebrate a harmonious fusion of traditional Portuguese design with modern, minimalist aesthetics. Every detail, from the striking arched windows to the carefully chosen earth tones, contributes to a warm and inviting a**osphere that embraces every guest. The rooms are spacious and offer a range of modern conveniences, while the subtle earthy color palette, high-quality materials, and comfortable bed ensure a restful sleep and a sense of total relaxation. The breakfast was well cared for with plenty of choice of freshly prepared dishes. However, the dining area can feel a bit cramped at full occupancy of the hotel, especially in the off-season when it's less pleasant to sit outside. Nevertheless, the start of the day was always pleasant with a delicious breakfast in a charming setting. We recommend renting a car, as the nearest beaches are not easily reached on foot. Both Ericeira and the nearby Santa Cruz are nice villages to visit. For a day trip, it is worth driving to Praia Carvalhal in Comporta (about 2 hours drive) and enjoying the beautiful nature and a delightful lunch at the Sublime Comporta Beach Club. Another thrilling day trip is to Nazaré, known for its massive waves where die-hard surfers set world records. With waves that can reach up to 25 meters high, it's a breathtaking spectacle that attracts surfers and spectators from all over the world. What we particularly appreciated was the flexibility and understanding the staff showed when our daughter fell ill a day before our departure. Without hesitation, we were allowed to stay a bit longer in our room on the day of checkout, which made a world of difference in our situation. A downside was the lack of price lists for items in the minibar and spa trea**ents. It would have been helpful to have a clear overview of the costs for these extras. An extra word of appreciation is in place for Veronica, Andre, and Bruno, each of whom contributed to our great experience with a smile and a personal touch. And of course, our thanks to everyone we may have forgotten to mention, you all made our stay special. Under the inspiring leadership of the General Manager, Floris, the staff of the Aethos Ericeira Hotel go above and beyond to provide sincere and personal service. This hotel is absolutely beautiful. It’s stylish and relaxed and the staff are attentive and very friendly. The only drawback was the location of my room near where deliveries were made and the staff took trash out the hotel. These activities are obviously necessary, but they were loud and we found them to be disruptive of the peaceful a**osphere. Also, we decided to treat ourselves to a bottle of champagne from the mini bar, but found it was oxidized (probably not stored properly) We did enjoy a fantastic couples massage and a nighttime swim in the heated saltwater pool. We also took in a sunset and moon rise at the nearby beach which we had all to ourselves. Very romantic! We enjoyed the breakfast as well. The buffet was sublime - it offered every you could imagine and more! Highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed for 7 glorious nights at Aethos Ericeira in mid February. The hotel is beautifully designed and situated with amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean - just a few minutes drive from local beaches and the town of Ericeira. The hotel has been carefully and tastefully designed in a scandi style. Breakfasts were a special part of the day, with a lovely personal service provided by the friendly but discreet staff. We used the pool, gym and steam room a few times and we had the space pretty much to ourselves. This hotel ticked all the boxes for a peaceful and luxurious week away. Highly recommend!

Very pretty design hotel about 15min drive from Ericeira town. Located on cliffs with seaviews all around, sleeping with the sound of the ocean and waves breaking. Decor is astonishing and very welcoming - great lobby area to relax and hang out. Terrace overlooking ocean, cliffs and sunset with all kinds of comfy chairs. Hotel has a really nice vibe. Nothing in the neighborhood for now so you need to bring your own wheels. Great heated pool (28C)  in inner courtyard with loungers and surrounded by grasses. Looks awesome and mid november swimming in 28C is really comfortable. No seaview but with the wind around here, you want your pool located out of the wind. Restaurant has a great terrace with beautiful views, large windows so you have awesome views from anywhere. Breakfast is very good with lots of options, including healthy ones. All looks fantastic and tastes really good. We had dinner one night and food was fantastic: my grouper caldeirada style was delicious. Got some creamed spinach on the side and this was the best I ever had. Oysters from Rio Formosa to start with and some sourdough and olives. Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive and cater to every need. We could do an online check-in and indicate at which time we woudl arrive. I indicated 10pm as we had dinner with friends first however they emailed me in the evening and called me as well to ask when we would arrive. I did not have my data on so did not get the email and I do not answer phonecalls from unknown numbers as we get those a lot in HK and they are all bogus marketing calls. Also don’t understand why you ask guests for check-in time during online check-in and then do not read the answer. Hotel is all modern design but that comes with some impractical flaws. Bathroom has a glass wall so you can oversea the sea when showering. There is a room divider parked in front that is see-through. However, when u turn on the lights in the middle of the night in the bathroom, the entire room is flooded with light taking your partner up in the room. There is a minibar but no coffee or tea making facilities, not even a kettle. We did ask for one and got one immediately as I love my cup of tea in the evening. However you would expect some facilities like this in the room. There was a mini bar with alcohol though. Bathrobes are extremely short and small and we are not very tall nor big people. They end above knee and you can’t close them completely and leaves you with a gaping hole all over your thighs Do note the seaview rooms are on the side of the hotel with the service road in front of you: suites have the real seaview. Since it was quiet in the hotel, not a problem but I expect in high season there will be more traffic and people. Balconies have iron railings and when u sit down on the comfy chairs - you look through the dividers and they do the obstruct your view. Looks all nice designy but shame of the obstructing view.
