Hemos pasado dos noches en Ella en este alojamiento que fácilmente podrían haber sido más. No solo porque el entorno bien lo vale sino por el alojamiento en si. Es bonito, cómodo, dispone de ducha bañera y una terraza con unas vistas increíbles. El desayuno todos los días ha sido muy muy completo. Por ponerle un pero, no vinieron a hacer la cama de la habitación. Cierto es, que en ningún sitio indica que sea un servicio de hotel pero nosotros lo dimos por hecho al no ser unos apartamentos; cuestión de expectativas. Destacar tambien tanto la amabilidad del dueño, Danushka, como de Sanju el chico que nos ayudó y atendió en todo momento. Muchas gracias por estos días, despertar en ese entorno es simplemente maravilloso.

A discrete family run business. Friendly, smiling people and allways available to serve their guests. We had an excellent stay here for two nights. The rooms are spatious, clean and well-equipped. Views from the room and balcony (at Ella Rock) are breathtaking, especially during sunrise. A nice and complete breakfast was served on the balcony, outside the room. Lunch/dinner can be easily taken in Ella town, which is in walking distance. It's a quiet place, with lush vegetation and some animals around. There are some stairs to climb, but luggage is brought to the room. Would definitely recommend and return here!

Unfortunately despite all the rave reviews online I had a poor experience here due to ONE critical reason. First the positives: the view from the rooms is FANTASTIC. Really stunning valley views from the balcony where you can sip your tea/coffee. The staff are also super helpful and responsive. Finally, the location is just a few minutes walk (uphill) to main street in Ella - I found it easiest to walk back and forth. HOWEVER, my room had one fatal problem. The toilet was letting out a horrendous stench. It was clearly a plumbing/sewage issue. Despite my informing the staff and some plumbing work being done while I was out during the day.. the smell remained. It would even come into the room so I had to put a towel under the toilet door. Basic hygiene failed here. Furthermore, the breakfast was also below average. I wish I could give this place a higher rating because of the view and the staff, but I can't. It isn't a super budget place, and so I have to be honest.

It was a blast to stay in the country homes in Ella. The host is super friendly and the whole staff is just super friendly and helpful. The room was super spacious, the bed comfortable and the view from the balcony was stunning. Breakfast was served to the room and was excellent. A good variety of food and delicious in taste. We had a great stay!

No Reception, No parking space, Steep Steps to get to the rooms. In the night it's dark watch out when climbing & going up about 30 steps or more. Exaggerated price, Refused to give a receipt as back packers don't ask. How do they go up with bags.

We had a very good stay here for two nights. The room was very clean and the breakfast was DELICIOUS. Especially the view of the room was very very nice. One of the best views I have ever had. See pictures, totally worth it to wake up to that view and have breakfast surrounded by monkeys (if you choose to eat outside).

Absolutely fantastic. The views are stunning, the rooms big and clean with a big bathroom. The breakfasts were really lovely and delivered straight to the room. I highly recommend this for the views alone. The only possible negative is that it’s a 5 minute hike to the town but don’t let that put you off.

We stayed two nights at Country Homes and had a great time. To hotel is close to the center of Ella, but in a also quiet area with some monkeys passing by your balcony. The rooms are spacious with a good shower and a beautifull view of the valley and Ella Rock. Breakfast is very nice and is brought to your room. The staff is very friendly, especially the owner which was very thoughtfull and made sure we had a nice stay.

Clean rooms just outside the center of Ella. The view from the terrace is very nice. the rooms are spacious enough and everything is there. Breakfast is served in the room itself, but due to an early train departure, a breakfast package was provided. this was also all right. An ideal hotel from which to explore Ella and its surroundings.
