Britannia Airport Hotel

Decent low budget hotel food good, staff great, however mattress in room 0105 was shocking (blood on) see photos was also very uncomfortable springs almost coming through! Also carpet on first floor was dangerous in places I witnessed a man get his foot stuck underneath a join in the carpet where it had come away from a metal join

Great stay as usual, will be back again. Used this hotel several times as it's safe & secure & very quiet too.

Location is quite inconvenient, if no private car, usually take an hour to a destination, unless Sale or Altrincham. Just 20 mins free wifi each day, so mean. Very few restaurants nearby, but a convenient store with 8 mins walk could help. Room cleanliness & tidiness are barely ok. Breakfast is not bad though.

Did the job for overnight work trip. Dated and old fashioned downstairs/ elevator/ reception area. Room quite spacious and clean. Shower over bath was okay, wasn’t great. Man at reception asked to take payment even though I’d already paid, didn’t really seem interested or care to be honest. It did what I needed it to do, which was somewhere to lay my head for a work trip. The man behind the bar however, was much happier. I asked for some ice for the room and he was more than happy to help.

Enjoyable and comfortable stay with very pleasant staff :-)

It was good. Cheap. For friends, travelling on a trip, it is quite good. There is a tesco nearby and great hotels with excellent taste.

‘The worst hotel I’ve stayed in my entire life’ I never leave reviews or complain, but I felt like I had to on this occasion. The room was scruffy, dirty & outdated. - toenail clippings on the floor, fizzy pop or some sort of ‘brown liquid’ smeared up the walls, hole in the wall as if someone had punched it. Paint patches everywhere & other peoples bodily hair in and around the sink & bathtub. Shower & sink leaking - bathroom flooding & smelling like urine. Window, partially open & was unable to close properly so was a draft in the room all night, windows & windowsills covered in dirt. I lifted the covers back to what looked like a ‘blood’ stain on the sheets. We arrived back at the hotel around 10pm after going out for tea & shopping at the Trafford centre, to absolute chaos. Loads of people outside arguing, people running up and down the corridors, people screaming at the reception. Went back up to the room & the room opposite us was smoking ****, the smell was that strong it was coming through to our room. All night people was playing music, running up and down the corridors & screaming. Staff couldn’t care less. Very dirty everywhere and the worst atmosphere I’ve ever witnessed at a hotel. If you want a good nights sleep or to chill out before a holiday, please do not stay here, choose a better option by the airport, as this place is horrendous.
